It had been 12 years since I had my hairs cut at Knockouts and I was delightfully anticipating getting another on my recent trip to Dallas. My brother said there was a shop over in Coppell and the lady, who cuts his and my nephew's hair, does a great job. He couldn't be more wrong. See I have a Master's degree but in all honesty it is not worth the paper it's printed on. I'm a master of what exactly? I don't hone my skills. I don't read the latest in "Slacker Monthly." I have a title that will look good in my obituary and that's about it. What I do know is true masters work at their craft. They get better at it everyday. Being called Master isn't just frivolously tossed around like warm, flat beer at a frat party. It actually means something. It's a distinguished honor to be called master and Martha is a master. A Master Stylist. When I first arrived she wasn't there, but literally 30 seconds later she walks into Knockouts. Impressive. Confident. Professional. Within a minute, she greets me and takes me to her station located in the back. It was a semi-private station away from the other chairs. I felt like a MVP. I digress. That's a different men's hair-salon service. She started me off with a Heavyweight haircut which left me punch-drunk happy. Next, since I'm a man of a certain age, I wanted to mix it up and for the first time I get my hair colored. Martha was gentle for my first time. She took her time and put me at ease respecting both my concerns and nervousness. Total pro. I mean, DAMN, I look good. Lastly, Martha performed a deluxe pedicure which 12 days later still feels and looks great. My little lady appreciated that when I returned back from vacation and it was time for the shaking of the sheets. On a side note, I also must say the other stylists (women) in the salon that walked by us occasionally looked at me as if I was the sexist man on the planet. It's my story and dammit I'm convinced that is true because of the artistry Martha performed on me with our two hours together. I felt like a giant, handsome winner. Honestly, go make an appointment with Martha. Give yourself a guaranteed win because there's no way you can lose. She doesn't do a great job because she is truly a connoisseur at her craft . To borrow a French word, she performs a Chef d'oeuvre in the cosmetology arts and you'll get nothing less from a Master Stylist. read more

Went there prior to heading to DFW. This was by far the worse $40+ haircut ever. Joseline was my barber. Here were my issues: 1) the haircut was uneven and choppy. This is a direct result of the non-ergo chairs they have for the shorter barber. Jose line couldn't see the top of my head and was on her toes while I slouched in the chair. Very uncomfortable as a client and I knew she would f'up! 2) the $40+ haircut was the most affordable cut and came with a head massage. Well, joseline applied only the lightest pressure for what felt like less than a minute. The hot towel applied more pressure than she did. 3) the neck shave was crap. She shaved only the bottom of the neck line. Nothing around the scalp line, ears, or neck sides. 4) again the electric clipper cut on the sides were uneven. The taper line was not blended. Honestly, I was more concerned with her messing up more so I did not ask for a fix 5) finally, they try too hard to sell an experience by engaging in conversation. Seemed like it was canned questioning like... do u have kids? Do u have dogs? Where do u work? Etc.... If she focused on doing a better job than these standard questions, perhaps the cut would be better. I don't need to spend 45 mins getting a haircut just to get an overpriced crap cut with boring conversations. read more

I don't think I'll go to another hairstylist other than Tokyo. She's gauged my hairstyle needs from day one, and has only improved on it from then on. I have some simple tastes; sort of a military style mid-fade, but she can take something as simple as that and make it look like something more. 10/10, I highly suggest this location and this staff! read more

Very systematic haircut they provide is the way you can get the very same haircut everytime when you visit. Mia selected numbers she cut my hair and saved them for my next visit. We started coming to Knockouts in Coppell in May, 2020, after our stylist, Adriah, joined the team. Adriah has been cutting my hair for over a year and always does an amazing job. She's very professional, personable and good at what she does. You can tell she takes pride in her work. In addition to doing great haircuts, she also does color. When I first heard she was leaving Supercuts to go to Knockouts, I thought I wouldn't be able to keep going to her, but she has made my daughter and I feel comfortable coming to Knockouts, in spite of our feeling it was only a place for a male to get a haircut. They also are great with my father in law are super patient with him. He's basically legally blind an he's a joker an they listen to all his corny jokes and laugh at them. Sarah cut my hair last time and did a great job, doesn't matter which one you get they will do it the way you want it and they don't rush to get you in and out . I really like the full hair cut , wash hair. Friday's are good because you can grab a cold beer and relax after a long week. The service is good and arguably worth the extra price over a generic haircut. I have had my hair cut by several of the women here and they've all been good. The place is clean and the vide is good. The problem is they are almost always booked solid so be prepared to wait an hour if you want to just walk in. I've booked online and still had to wait almost an hour because their online booking we're overbooked of they were just that far behind schedule. I even booked online with a specific person and ended up getting my haircut by someone else because the original woman was too overbooked. The wait time issues have happened several times now. Try again! I recently needed a cut and my usual person was not available, so I walked in to Knockouts. I'm generally not a fan of these chains because of the inconsistency. However, after a good initial experience, I've been back several times to have Kaitlyn cut my hair. She's been cutting hair for a number of years, but a recent transplant to the Dallas area. She's nice and does a good job of cutting and styling the way I like. In addition to the cut, you get a neck shave, shampoo, and brief scalp/neck massage. I visited this location yesterday and had Sasha cut my hair which is a simple.high in tight crew cut. She attempted 3 different times arguing with me on the actual size of a zero style haircut. I now will return to there competitors to have it fixed and will never go to another knockouts again and will advise anyone I.know to do the same. ***DO NOT GO HERE!!! 1. couldnt follow basic instructions. 2. cut my bangs down to 1/2 inch (only in the center) 3. the rest of the top was 3-4 inches on one side 4. ran the clippers up the back right so high, like i was being prepped for brain surgery. 5. there were several places on the side she just missed with the clippers. This was the worst fn haircut ever. It looked like a pratical joke. When i got back to work my coworkers were laughing so hard they were crying (in hindsight it was pretty funny).
