Marissa came highly recommended and I was easily able to make an online appointment with her the same week! Once I filled out some basic online info regarding my dog and signed a consent, all communication was confirmed through texts and email. Loved and appreciated the reminders regarding the appointment. Marissa arrived promptly within the time slot chosen. Our dog, Kahlua, spent a little over an hour in the mobile van getting groomed. After he was done, he looked like an entirely different dog! Of course in a very good way, he was one hot mess prior and we had nicknamed him fur bomb lol The grooming included bath, dry, cut, ear/eye cleaning , nail trim, and external anal gland expression. Afterwards, he smelled fabulous too! She spritzed him with a bit of some good smelling stuff. Marissa was super sweet, friendly, answered all our questions, and had a wonderful demeanor with Kahlua. I was charged a dematting fee of 50 dollars for two dogs, but all my dogs were shaved downed even the one that wasn't matted. My wife almost cried when she woke up from her nap and saw the dogs haircuts. When I paid for them, I assumed my wife told the groomer to cut them this short, but she didn't. I feel like if they were just going to be shaved down I could have took them to PetSmart for half the price or shaved them myself. This is the exact review I left this place and someone responded explaining that they were sorry for not communicating that the dogs needed to be completely shaved and the groomer just assumed since my other two matted dogs needed to be shaved it was ok to give the unmated dog the exact same ugly haircut.

However, I was put at ease when we met with Crystal and the other groomer. Our dogs don't usually tend to be aggressive, however they are very reactive and anxious. We attempted to take them to a regular salon prior but the previous groomer was unable and didn't feel ok to take off our white Pomeranian-mix, Zeus, harness off. I found Crystal on yelp and tried to reach out via yelp with notes from our old groomer. However, I ended up getting a quicker reply by calling. I explained our dogs' behavior and anxiety and she took it all into consideration. I dropped them off at 9am and they were done around 2. She mentions she does allow them to take breaks and take potty breaks/gives them water and snacks. So we appreciated that. Prior to this they had a groomer in Maryland, whom they loved and adored. When we picked up our dogs, they seemed happy and they were actually able to carry them both out to the car which I appreciated. Price wise, it was on the pricier side than we've experienced, nonetheless it was worth it. Will definitely be willing to use Crystal's Gentle Grooming again. And recommend her to anyone with elderly or aggressive/anxious pets. They came home looking like totally different babies, like pups again. We love their cuts and couldn't be happier. I had to demand her back. They called me about someone else's dog and when I went to pick my dog at 6, the time she was suppose be done. They brought me someone else's dog. Nothing but poor excuses. When I finally got my Baby back she looked awful. Cut hair to short, discussed with the attendant before they started asked for a trim actually pointed to the Length on the chart and they shaved her nearly to the skin and messing not even a clean shave, feet were trimmed messy my Baby's face is so messed up and misshaped. Complete disaster. Rude and unprofessional staff. Thank God hair grows back.
