Everyone in the area raves about KJ's and I finally got to give it a try. If you are looking for a comfortable space in which to enjoy a freshly prepared meal served by cheerful and attentive servers, then you're in luck if you're anywhere near Mecosta or Remus, Michigan. Good menu, lots of choices, and we all enjoyed what we ate. I had jalapeño poppers, and the cod basket with tater tots. Generous helpings of all. I left full and happy - like so many businesses out in the country this is a family owned operation and they tend to their customers like family. Totally recommend and I plan to dine here again and not order so much next time so I can have room for homemade dessert! read more

I have eaten there numerous times, the Friday fish is excellent. I've never had a bad meal there. The burgers are wonderful and the sourdough bread is the best! The staff is friendly and attentive. The owner makes homemade dressing for the salad bar and homemade side salad ie cole slaw pastas. I give 5 deserved stars!!! read more

Good food and friendly place, though we got some stares for not being local. The portions are huge and it was pretty tasty. We only went for breakfast and our biggest complaint is that all the meats were really, really salty and they put butter on your butter. We needed extra drinks to handle it. Nice family run place. It's a favorite with the locals. Waitress has been there since 1994. She was friendly. Pie is homemade. I had the blueberry pie and it was good. It was good for breakfast. Pancakes were big and the bacon crispy. Unless you get one of the tables off to the side, it can be pretty chilly when the door opens. Really cold if people hold it open waiting for a table. It did take quite a while to get served food and way too slow with refills on coffee. The day we were there, only one gal working the tables so really can't blame her for the slow service etc. She did her best. I wouldn't go too far out of my way to go here again. But then again, not much to eat at in the area. read more

This is a terrific place to eat. It's right on M-20 between Mt Pleasant and Big Rapids. All home cooking at its best. We eat there at least 3 times a week. Breakfast and lunch are very tasty. Dinner for us is liver and onions plus the sides. Never have had a bad meal there. Wish they made their own pies. read more

Went here a few weekends ago for breakfast. Out neighbors recommended it and we weren't disappointed. It's classic American breakfast, nothing special.
