Wow this Grille blew my socks off! It's a small town diner with a standard menu but quality food. They allowed me to order the pineapple upside down cake pancakes with no cherry. It was amazing! The pancakes got a little caramelized edges from the pineapple juice. I highly recommend. They also made the side of bacon extra crispy for me. It was really nice that they followed my custom asks without complaint. The service was fast and the wait staff works as a team. They will all go around to check for coffee refills and we were well cared for. We went on Father's day while traveling to the lake, and it was bustling but we had no wait. Found this place a few years ago as a recommendation from an old roommate from Ferris. Pretty solid food and super friendly service. Breakfast and lunch place!!! My girlfriend took me to LeRoy, MI for my birthday and I googled around for cool restaurants. I drive a Wrangler so the Jeep theme had me and then... My mom bakes a pineapple upside down cake for everyone's birthday in my family and this year the one she baked me went weird and didn't turn out. I was sad to miss it. Lo and behold this place has a PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN PANCAKE?! I thought maybe it would be weird and ordered something else too. It wasn't weird. It tasted incredible and just like mom's. Wow. It was so good the first day that we went back again and got mugs and a hat. Such a cute place. My girlfriend has celiac disease and they had a pretty great set of options for her because she was the one who demanded we go back. On the road traveling for work and wanted lunch. I'm a Jeep guy, so of course I had to stop in. Love the grills mounted on the walls as their decor, and the Jeep pics. Staff are very friendly, kept my coffee full which always a plus. For the food, sammiches and burgers come with chips, pretty pricey upgrade to get fries instead ($5 basically). Being new Jeep owners my husband and I were really excited to visit however, the excitement quickly faded after the extremely poor dining experience. I ordered the teriyaki chicken salad, which was disgusting. The chicken was not fresh, it looked like it came straight out of a frozen Tyson chicken bag and tasted like it too (their menu says they use all fresh local ingredients). My husband ordered the cod and fries which were both undercooked. When I brought our concerns up to not one but 2 waitresses (the one that brought us our food and the one that cashed us out) the waitress she said, "hmm" and didn't offer me something else, didn't offer to take it off the bill, didn't apologize, nothing. The whole dining experience felt rushed, impersonal and definitely not what I'd hoped for a cool Jeep restaurant. The only good thing about this restaurant was the decor. Downgrading my review from 5 stars to 3. Had breakfast here this past weekend and had a poor experience. The food was not up to normal standards and the floor staff were all messed up. Not sure if Doug, Christy, and family were on vacation or what not, but definitely not what i expected after years of visiting this establishment. It appeared that the waitress may have forgotten to put our order in, and while waiting about 45 min (signs did ask for patience due to staffing) our bill came to the table with never getting food. The food showed up about 5 min later (rushed maybe?) I will go back. But a 2nd strike and I will not. read more

We stopped here for a to-go breakfast while traveling, and it was really good! I was worried to-go omelettes would be cold, but both were still hot when we picked them up. Their online ordering site is very easy to navigate, and has all of the options to specialize your meal. We ordered the garden omelette and the Tex mex - both very tasty! The American fries would seasoned with some herbs, which gave them a nice flavor, and they were crunchy, which is a must for me! Nothing worse than soggy hashbrowns. Saw the 'ad' on highway sign and decided to turn into Reed City for gas and lunch and made ThE best decision! The place was pretty full on a Saturday about 2 with just a couple busy waitresses, who were outstanding and efficient! Had a thick n tasty Reuben with a big pile of chips & a pickle. Was NOT disappointed. Today's special was burrito and they were huge! Patrons said they were excellent. I especially liked the Jeep-themed ambiance, as I love my yellow Jeep and the happy, positive Jeepers eating there.. ( not everyone drove a Jeep ). I can't believe that I have not written a review yet! I have been coming g here for ages and it's ALWAYS a high point on a trip north. I am a huge fan of their reuben which I believe is the very best around but I also enjoy the breakfasts. It's a friendly "home town" feel and everyone always seems happy so I guess it's a good place to work. When I stopped last weekend I found that the overflow seating area was redone and large barrier free restrooms were added. They plan a bakery corner in that room in the near future. OK so what first pulled me in was the name and the decor (it's a Jeep thing!) but it's the food and service that keep me coming back. In totally lovre this place. Give it a try, if you are on US-131 it's only a couple of minutes away in the middle of downtown. You will thank me! read more

A classic Michigan dining experience. I knew we were in for a treat when I opened the menu and saw: Pineapple Upside down pancakes. We each ordered a dish, sausage biscuits and gravy and a country omelet, we got a short stack of the pineapple upside down pancakes on the side. It was devastatingly good. Way more food than two people should ever eat (we couldn't finish, as much as we wanted to). The toast (white, wheat, rye, and sourdough) are all made from bread made at the restaurant. Though we're not apt to dine out when spending time in that area, we made a point of coming back a second time during our vacation. It felt like our waitresses were our aunts, sweet as can be and they were very accommodating with very frequent coffee refills. I have been here a couple times for lunch, both times I got the olive burger, and both times my taste buds were blown away. I'm always in the mood for a really good hamburger, especially if they put olives on it and this place does not disappoint. I've never been to a restaurant that literally, puts a handful of olives on top of their burger. I absolutely love that! Stopped for lunch at seven slot Grill in Reed city Michigan. The server told us we could have breakfast or lunch or anything we wanted from the menu so we opted for breakfast. We had eggs sourdough toast and pineapple upside down pancakes. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely extraordinary and the best part was the coffee. I swear they must have the best coffee in the area. If you order the pineapple upside down pancakes please take note that they will come to you filled with bright red cherries and you will not see the pineapple. If you don't like maraschino cherries tell them to leave them off. On the way out I bought a cool coffee mug with the name of this restaurant on it as a souvenir. Highly recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious and homemade. Will absolutely return the next time we drive up to Michigan to visit family. read more

Excellent. We had just walked out of a place in Cadillac because of horrible service (Burke's) on our way home to Kalamazoo. So when we walked in and were greeted by upbeat and friendly staff it was especially welcoming!! Lots of great choices on the menu. The food was GREAT!! Hubby had the olive burger basket and I had the Irish omelette. We were pleased with our choices. The ambiance was homey and welcoming. I'm so glad we stopped.
