Well! Let me clear that I stayed here in 2016, 2019 and now in 2023. So, I just checked out and I stayed for seven nights. Although the location is convenient but hotel itself desperately needs an updated. Flooring is getting really old, fixtures are not updated and all together this is not a 21st century traveler friendly. There used to be a restaurant on premises before, but this time restaurant is gone and only they provide breakfast in the lobby and very limited bar snacks at the bar. That being said there is no room service. TV channels are a joke, as long as you like watching BBC channels you are ok Hot water is spotty, some times there is hot water as soon as you turn the faucet, sometimes you need to wait 10-15 minutes to water gets warm. In the other hands, staffs are real friendly and rooms are getting clean nicely and very quick. Rates are reasonable, but I think you get what you are paying for. This is very family friendly hotel. I saw families with kids, so it is a great sign. Will I stay here next time I am in London? Maybe not, since there are many other options around. read more

Nice room with view of the back garden. It comes with instant coffee and a coffee pot. Great towels and a comfortable bed. They have chocolates and, at least a couple of days, they had wonderful hot chocolate in the lobby. There is a small gym and bar in the hotel. Air conditioner / heating system needed a new filter which took a couple of days to get replaced. We had a fabulous experience at the hotel. Our rooms were nice and clean the staff was incredibly helpful. The bartender, Spiros, was fantastic. He made the bar feel like home at the end of each night. We felt as though he was happy to see us. Solid hotel. We stayed her for one night on a stop-over through London. I would stay here again, especially to try the afternoon tea service. Pros: -near many good restaurants and pharmacies and grocery stores -near the Tube Station (Earls Court) and the Piccadilly Line. You can get to and from Heathrow easily -friendly service -rooms are clean -quaint building in a nice and safe neighborhood Cons: -rooms are somewhat small and the bathrooms are extremely small -they have a policy where you have to leave your room key at the desk and then pick it up when you get back by telling your last name. found this a little inconvenient and dorm-like. read more

First time to London and my first night I stayed here which was booked through hotels.com I didn't know what to expect at first from London or the hotel but I absolutely loved each one! The hotel was located on a quieter street which was really nice and the convenience of being walking distance to the Tube was a plus. I used Uber most of my first day and the driver had no probably getting to the hotel without asking me to meet him at another location! When arrived the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. She printed out directions for me on how to catch a train to East Sussex and gave me a map of London. They even had Brandy Hot Chocolate which was amazing and definitely warmed me up for the much cooler weather. The room was lovely with a sitting room and the bathroom clean and nice. Nothing over the top but it was comfy and had a beautiful view! This place was wonderful especially for someone traveling by themselves, I felt very safe! read more

We stayed the this hotel in December for our week-long vacation in London. Loved that it was a fairly painless 30 minute tube ride from Heathrow. We also absolutely adored the neighborhood. So lovely! Sure, it's a bit out of the way from the touristy spots, but for us this wasn't an issue at all and we actually preferred it. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to Earl's Court station, and since both the Piccadilly and District lines pass through, you have access to a number to touristy sites fairly quickly. The hotel itself was super-clean. The room was comfortable and quiet. We liked that they had free (and fast!) LAN internet in the room, too. We only had time for 2 meals at the hotel -- the complimentary breakfast buffet & a lunch -- both on our last day. The buffet was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Lunch was quite tasty and our server was a sweetheart. Anyway, to sum this up....loved, loved, loved the hotel (& London) so much I'm returning again in a few months and decided to stay here again! Soooo many amazing things this hotel has going for it, it was very hard for me to give 4/5. Let me start with the pros: Can't beat the location. So close to the tube. The beds were amazing, the pillows I want to have in my house, and bedding was comfy cozy. I got out of bed later than I normally would becuase the bed was so perfectly comfortable. Service was helpful, bar and front desk were wonderful. This sounds trivial, but the over-sized, soft, white towels - looooooved!! What an amazing touch. Cons: Thin walls. Could hear my neighbors, especially the floor above me walking, talking, any movement. Heat didn't work initially - which the very kind manager came quickly to take care of. The workout room is a treadmill, 2 bikes and a few free weights. read more

We are so happy to stay at the K+K George Hotel in South Kensington. This hotel is located just steps from the Earl's Court underground train station and it's so convenient. The hotel has a nice interior decor and the rooms are very clean. I'm so particular about the bathroom and I can't complain at all with their nicely done bathroom. The bonus point? They have a safe for you to keep all your important and valuable belongings in a safe place so your mind can be free and you can focus on exploring the city with all of its attractions. Absolutely wonderful stay! We stayed only one night and they treated us so well. It was our anniversary and we were given sparkling wine and chocolate and a room upgrade with glorious views. They had our room ready hours before our check-in because we had taken the red eye from the US and were exhausted. They were honest about where to eat. Just returned from a 5 night stay here with my mom and aunt. Upon entering our room, we realized they have given us the wrong one (2 beds, instead of 3) - despite us booking it FIVE MONTHS in advance. They told us there was nothing they could do that day but would give us the rooms we actually booked the following day. The new room was larger and nicer and had a garden view - much better! My favorite part about the rooms were the heated tile floors in the bathroom!! I gotta get me some of those at home. The staff is okay, no one went above and beyond and no one was exceptionally friendly. This hotel is in a great location! A 5 minute walk to Earl's Court Station, a 3 minute walk to several restaurants and grocery stores, and not too far from the history museum, science museum and Hyde Park. Oh, and a word of advice - if you ask someone at the front desk to call you a taxi, they will call you a private car (usually a Mercedes) instead and won't tell you. This seemed to cost about 30% more than a taxi. If you ask them to call you a real taxi - they won't. You will have to walk 2 minutes up the road and flag one down. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, the breakfast buffet was decent - but for the price I felt like we could have stayed somewhere with better service. read more

We had a terrible experience here. Yes, the location is decent. Yes the grounds are nice, but the folks working here couldn't care less and are patently unhelpful. We were initially given a room that was tiny with a stale smell, slanted floors and nearly impossible-to-fit-into bathroom. We stay in London and Europe plenty so this is not just an American griping. Drab room, little light, no room to even place our luggage ... you get the picture. We asked to stay in another room, so they pretty much gave us the exact same room (slanted floor and bed broken to the extent that you can roll a ball down it) but on a different floor. This one had a small bedroom too but this time the toilet broke. They "fixed" it with even smaller seat. This stay ultimately ruined what was otherwise a nice five-day trip to the city. We tried to speak to the front desk people but again, they could care less: "you have a standard room", meaning we are 3rd class customers, I suppose. Mayber they were trying to get us to pay more for an upgrade or something, who knows? If we had not paid for the entire thing in advance, and they clearly told us they would not reimburse us, we would have left the moment they brought us to the second depressing and useless room. Horrible, horrible experience, would not recommend. Yelp (and TripAdvisor), you really led us astray. Stay away folks, much better options in this city. read more

I can't say anything negative about this hotel...the room, bed, amenities, didn't have food so I can't comment on that, however, the hotel is surrounded by numerous eateries. We came to this hotel at midnight after booking a hotel 3 blocks away. The hotel we booked was the worst hotel I ever have seen in my life. We arrived at the K+K in the middle of the night, no reservations, and hoping they would have a room available. Nikola helped us. He was extremelly friendly and polite. Clean and comfortable hotel for our week stay in London. K+K George will be our go-to hotel in London. Trip Advisor Savvy Saver prices with breakfast are reasonable. It would be an outstanding hotel, if the room had an alarm clock and if housekeeping gave fresh wash cloths each day without having to ask for it. Location, location, location: K+K George is located down a quiet residential street, but a mere two blocks from Earl's Court tube station for the District and Piccadilly lines. Food and shops are abound along Earl's Court. Breakfast: If you are interested in K+K breakfast, be sure to book a room that includes breakfast; otherwise an additional £12.50 is probably not worth it. You can find better breakfast options for the price such as Paul right across from Earl's Court station. The breakfast, when included, is convenient and good. There is a good variety of options to choose from. The only criticism is that the coffee is bitter and not great. Rooms, housekeeping: Our king executive room gave an extra desk area and a little bit more elbow room. The in-room safe is great. The room was taken care of every day during our week stay and kept clean. Loved the large bath sheets. The bed is a comfortable with down comforter and pillows. The windows open to let in fresh air. We opted for the additional charge of early check in, and was given a room at the end of the hall away from the elevators, stairs, and traffic, but a weekend group next door was still up at 3:00a partying. A call to the front desk took care of the ruckus. The only criticism on the room is that we had to call down almost every day to ask for fresh wash cloths, as housekeeping would take the soiled ones, and failed to replace with clean ones. Heathrow transport: K+K uses Regent Carriage Service as their sole transport for guests to and from Heathrow. They will not call a black cab. Be forewarned about using Regent, which overcharged and had a bad attitude. My specific review on Regent gives details. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here during our trip to London. Since we were there over Christmas, we ended up hanging out in the hotel and ordering room service. The staff was lovely and they brought up some movies for us to watch. The breakfast was FANTASTIC and a great way to fuel yourself for a day of tourism. Ok..so this was two years ago but Yelp wasn't in the UK then!! My boys and I went to London for a quick 6 day vacation during a honest to godawful rare heat wave in London. The accommodations at this hotel, access to the tube and walking distance to restaurants were all outstanding. And even with the heatwave and no air conditioning (who has it in London anyway??), the room was cool. I loved walking down the cobblestone alley to the main street, hanging a right 2-3 blocks to get to the underground station. Someday, when the dollar isn't the worthless piece of crap it is now, we will return for a visit and we will stay at this quiet, nice, clean, friendly hotel once again. read more

Fantastic experience. The hotel is a 2min walk around the corner from Earls Court tube, which is the main lines of Piccadilly and District for straight connect to Heathrow Airport and the inner city of London. It is a very short and delightful walk to major attractions like Kensington Palace , Albert Hall and National Museum and Harrods. Nicely done K+K. I pretty much echo everything Lori P has said - clean, cozy but up to date rooms, great service, and good location near the Tube. Yes, it's a bit away from the city proper, but we found a great pub nearby (King's Head) to keep us content when we stayed close to the hotel, and could get pretty much anywhere else we wanted to go on the District and Picadilly lines. Rooms aren't huge by American standards, but plenty roomy for two with lots of closet space. The staff was the thing that really made it for us, incredibly kind, helpful and cheery.
