In the past I've been to other salons that use hard wax but only put a thin layer on. Therefore when they pull it off, it breaks on your skin and they have to keep picking it back up again. If you can imagine, it's very painful. Because cyndi uses such high quality wax in conjunction with the fact that she puts a thicker layer on your skin, it comes off in one piece which is MUCH less painful and so much faster. I arrived early for my appointment and she got me out before my start time even. She gave me a mirror at the end so I could check the Brazilian and make sure it was to my liking. I came in for a basic pedicure (about $34) and was the only customer in the salon. Even with no one else there, the service felt rushed and lacked effort. The tech was very light-handed and didn't thoroughly remove the dead skin from my heels. To make matters worse, once my pedicure was finished, I was asked to move to the drying station instead of drying in the pedicure chair. I was working during my appointment, so I had to pack up and move my laptop, devices, and other belongings for no apparent reason, despite the salon being empty. It was unnecessarily inconvenient. As my polish was drying, I noticed my heels were still rough. When I pointed it out, I was told I had chosen the basic pedicure and that I "needed a cheese grater." I disagreed. My (80 year old) longtime nail tech had never used a cheese grater and consistently leaves my heels smooth using standard tools and proper technique for my basic pedicure. What disappointed me most was that they refused to correct the issue, even though there were no other customers waiting. It would have taken just a few extra minutes to make things right. A basic pedicure should leave your feet feeling smooth, and good customer service means addressing reasonable concerns when they're brought up. Unfortunately, this salon did neither, and I won't be returning. Guest relations go a long way

1 STAR -- Unwanted hair removal during a basic pedicure…read more I am extremely upset with my experience at Nails of America in Spring on August 12, 2026. I came in for a basic manicure and pedicure. My technician was Jenny #33672, according to my receipt. I paid $61 for the services plus a $4 tip, for a total of $65. At absolutely NO point did I request waxing, shaving, depilatory cream, or any other form of hair removal on my legs. During my pedicure, a product was applied and rubbed onto my lower legs. I assumed it was normal lotion or another standard pedicure product. Nobody explained that it could affect my body hair, and nobody asked for my permission to remove any hair. Hours later, when I showered, I was horrified to discover that my leg hair was coming off in patches. I personally do not shave my legs and intentionally keep my natural leg hair, so this was not a minor inconvenience or something I would ever have agreed to. The hair continued coming off unevenly, leaving my legs looking extremely patchy. Because so much hair had already been removed in random areas, I eventually felt forced to shave the remaining hair just to make my legs look uniform. Now I have to wait for hair that I intentionally kept to grow back. I also had irritation/scratches on my leg afterward. My biggest issue is the complete lack of communication and consent. A salon should NEVER apply a product that removes or damages someone's body hair without explaining what it is and getting permission first. A customer coming in for a pedicure should not have to worry that their leg hair is going to be removed without their knowledge. I have photographs documenting what happened as well as my receipt from this visit. I would like management to explain exactly what product was used on my legs, why it caused my hair to come off, and why I was never informed or asked for consent before it was applied. This experience completely ruined what should have been a simple manicure and pedicure, and I will not be returning.

I made the decision to leave, and when I tried to dry my feet (as I had just started a pedicure), the technician abruptly pulled the towel away, saying it was "only for hands." I walked out with wet feet and a really negative impression. My daughter was with me and even she commented on how tense and unpleasant the interaction was. She told me she appreciated that I stood up for myself, which, at least, was a small silver lining. I wasn't trying to be difficult -- just trying to take care of my skin -- and I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone who values being heard and treated with basic courtesy.
