1 STAR -- Unwanted hair removal during a basic pedicure I am extremely upset with my experience at Nails of America in Spring on August 12, 2026. I came in for a basic manicure and pedicure. My technician was Jenny #33672, according to my receipt. I paid $61 for the services plus a $4 tip, for a total of $65. At absolutely NO point did I request waxing, shaving, depilatory cream, or any other form of hair removal on my legs. During my pedicure, a product was applied and rubbed onto my lower legs. I assumed it was normal lotion or another standard pedicure product. Nobody explained that it could affect my body hair, and nobody asked for my permission to remove any hair. Hours later, when I showered, I was horrified to discover that my leg hair was coming off in patches. I personally do not shave my legs and intentionally keep my natural leg hair, so this was not a minor inconvenience or something I would ever have agreed to. The hair continued coming off unevenly, leaving my legs looking extremely patchy. Because so much hair had already been removed in random areas, I eventually felt forced to shave the remaining hair just to make my legs look uniform. Now I have to wait for hair that I intentionally kept to grow back. I also had irritation/scratches on my leg afterward. My biggest issue is the complete lack of communication and consent. A salon should NEVER apply a product that removes or damages someone's body hair without explaining what it is and getting permission first. A customer coming in for a pedicure should not have to worry that their leg hair is going to be removed without their knowledge. I have photographs documenting what happened as well as my receipt from this visit. I would like management to explain exactly what product was used on my legs, why it caused my hair to come off, and why I was never informed or asked for consent before it was applied. This experience completely ruined what should have been a simple manicure and pedicure, and I will not be returning. read more

I'm honestly really frustrated with my experience, and unfortunately this isn't the first time it's happened. I scheduled my appointment online ahead of time and even called the day of to confirm everything was still good. I was told yes--no issues. Then I show up for my 6:00 PM appointment, just to be told I don't have an appointment. On top of that, I was told there would be about an hour wait for the nail tech I prefer. If my appointment was at 6:00 and they close at 7:00, that already doesn't make sense. Why would I want to start a service after closing time and put a nail tech in that position? This isn't a one-time issue either. It seems like every time I come in, there's confusion and I get pushed to a different nail tech. I book with a specific person for a reason--I like their work, they take their time, and they don't rush. In the past when I've been switched, I've left with rushed, messy work--like nail polish all over my palms and fingers--which is unacceptable, especially when I'm paying for the service. At this point, I won't be coming back because it feels like the same issues keep happening and my time (and money) aren't being respected. Really disappointing experience. read more

I came in on a busy Sunday, my daughter wanting to simply get her eyebrows done before her trip. We walked in, signed in and maybe waited 5 minutes until my daughter was serviced in the back of the salon. The place was clean and neat, very inviting if you will as you listened to calming music played. After maybe another 5 minutes, my daughter came out quite pleased with the service, I was more pleased with the speed. We paid a reasonable amount and then walked out all in a matter of minutes. I used to love this place because it was so close to home but recently I spent $116 on a shellac mani pedi and 2 days later my nails are chipping, they were happy to fix the first nail but the very next day more nails are chipping. For $116 I expected my nails to last longer than one singular week. read more

Service was good, staff is friendly, interior is beautiful/clean, but the quality of the work is underwhelming. I got a French manicure and normal pedicure. The French manicure polished peeled around the edges within 2 days and looks crappy now, quite frankly. I am embarrassed to show my nails in public. They also only used one coat of color polish on both my hands and feet, which I felt was skimpy... I chose a red and I can see the bruises on my toe nail through the polish... frankly, I won't be back. I didn't care to come back to get it fixed because (1) it was Thanksgiving so I was busy and (2) I'm from out-of-state. read more

I've been trying to find a good nail place near my house. Sadly I'm disappointed in this first visit. I scheduled via yelp and it was pretty simple. The place is clean and pretty spacious. I arrived on time for my appointment and was seated within 5 mins. The girl working on me didn't offer me a beverage at all during my pedicure, so I politely asked her for water. She came back with a water bottle and it wasn't even cold. She spent 45 mins on me, and did a decent job with the nail polish but jacked up my toe nail...I hope I don't get an ingrown because she cut it really short and curved. I also didn't get the hot stone massage which was part of the Pamper Me pedicure. Upon asking the girl at the end when she was done doing my very short shoulder massage she smiled and pointed at a bowl and said "you done". Now I swear I don't recall her ever using hot stones on me, nor did I see them in the bowl that normal nail places put them in. The only thing hot she put on me was the towels. But whatever I decided to just go. Upon paying I inquired with another girl about the hot stones, thinking maybe I misread what the pedicure included and she replied "no she did it, she had to before the polish". But the only thing she did before the polish was the warm towels. Sadly disappointed that I paid $40 plus tip to not get what was advertised. Not to mention my jacked up toe nail. read more

My regular nail tech (of 25 years) is on vacation in Vietnam so I needed a refill. I've used NoA in the past for pedicures but this was the first time to get a refill. I decided to try the coffin shape for the first time about a month ago (with my regular tech). I liked it so I decided to keep that shape. My last refill, 2 weeks ago, I had her do them a bit shorter (medium). When NoA did the refill Friday it cost me $55 (which is insane for a refill)!! When I asked why it was so much I was told that coffin shape is $5 extra and medium length is $5 extra. Never mind that they were already in that shape and they didn't have to add any length. I could understand if it were a new set and she had to do a lot of extra work. When the tech asked what shape I wanted I told the same as they were, "sort of a shorter coffin because I like the narrow look" and she said "you want shorter or medium length?" and I said medium. She baited me!! I didn't like the deceitfulness of how that happened. I can't see any reason why they had to charge extra because my nails were already in the shape I wanted and they didn't add length. I also didn't like that they didn't tell me upfront what the cost would be. My regular tech of 25 years has NEVER charged me for length or special shape. These large salons take advantage of customers. If anyone uses NoA you better ask before letting them work on your nails what the cost will be. I will never go back to a NoA specifically Nails of America---Champion Forest Drive. read more

The policy states if nail is damaged within 5 days of service they will correct it. More than 5 days there is a $7.00 charge. I went back within 4 days because the polish rub off and the owner tried to charge me $10.00, but when I let her know I was there 4 days ago she charged $7.00. I told her I will never come back. She makes the prices up according to who you are. Not a good business practice! read more

Manicures are always on point, color selection is ok, however each time I come in the price seems to go up. First visit it was $30, then $33, then $35, now today $38 for a regular shellac manicure. I mentioned something to the girl, she said no its always been that price (thats not true). Unfortunately I don't think I will be back, I always tip decent and really don't want any part of any strange activity going on. If your prices go up thats fine, but please don't lie to me abt it because I've been here a few times now. And actually the manicure I got today was not that great, the girl kept turning her head to chat with the other techs. The pedicures here are horrible, won't be back unfortunately. Do better, I'm spending money I earn, I expect good service! ***In response to Andrew*** I didn't say I got a pedicure that time, only that your pedicures are horrible. Also, you never addressed the horrible tech that did my manicure. So that's OK for your techs to turn around when they cut nails? My nails are uneven now, and I have two chips in the paint. And yes, I know how much I pay because I have my bank statements to back me up, so something funny is going on there. I asked for the price up front and when I was seated I was told an additional price for the service I asked for originally. She literally left my skin glued to the nail. Pedicure was good, not great. Watched them leave aluminum foil from a prior service at the bottom on the foot soak and just cover it with the blue sanitizer wrap. THEN my nails... I have never ever had such a crooked, miss shaped pair of nails in my life. My entire left hand nails are all terrible looking due to the miss shape. I also didn't have a great interaction when walking in or finally after 30 minutes being sat so I honestly just wanted to leave when I saw it. Thankfully I had a gift card so it covered the majority of the services. Honestly, just go if you're only looking for a pedicure. Do not, DO NOT go for your nails. read more

I was very unhappy with my service. My shape was horrible it looked like a kid did my nails. I asked for square and this is what I got. when I asked to come back the next day for a correction the manager was super sweet about it and said it would be free of charge but when I got there the next day the woman who serviced me was very rude about having to correct the set. She also cut my finger pretty bad. They did not greet me or say goodbye on my way out, I was getting a lot of stares and weird energy from the people in the salon due to me coming back in for a correction service. read more

It was my first time at this nail salon and I will never go back because this salon does not care about good service to its customers. I went with my friend who is a regular customer and the service they provided to the both of us was simply poor and unacceptable. I was concerned about their Covid safety measures and while the place appears clean, and they have shields up at each manicure station- they operate like a fast food chain in trying to get as my people in and out the door with little regard to providing a relaxing experience or properly applied polish. At the very least they should have every customer washing their hands before receiving a service. This is not the case. I had the dipping powder for my nails and was told not to wash my hands until after the service. At the end of my visit 3 different nail techs worked on my hands/feet. We expected the nail salon to be busy on a Saturday so we booked the private room in the morning expecting to have manicures and pedicures in that room away from the crowds. Instead we only had pedicures in the private room because the manger refused to allow any manicure services in there. My pedicure was so sloppy I had to go home and rebuff my own feet and refile my toes. Totally unacceptable especially when you opt for the most expensive pedicure service. We were then shuttled off to the front for manicures. I booked a manicure/pedicure and opted for dipping powder for my nails. I was told by the manager that dipping powder service does not include a manicure. Fine, I would have paid extra for a manicure and instead they found a third nail tech to trim my cuticles in between ringing up customers at the cash register. No lotion was applied and no cuticle oil. Basically I received no manicure. After 2.5 hours in there I left this place with dry hands, sloppy toe polish, dry heels, and an uneven and thick application of dipping powder on my nails. I won't be back. read more

Love this place, from the second I walked in I felt welcomed. It smells really good inside and it's also really clean. I came in wanting a power overlay on my real nails. I had Kate as my Nail Tech for the day. She helped me pick a color had me wash my hands she she got started right away. From stay to finish it took her maybe 20 minutes at the most, more like 15mins lol. She was really fast, really neat and made sure I like my nails throughout the whole service. I feel scammed Yesterday I decided to go to the nearest nail salon from my house. I decided to give this salon a try even though I read some yelp reviews. I walked in and the lady in the front asked me what type of service I wanted & I said deep powder with gel nails. Anyway I went in and the lady who did my nails asked me if I wanted to shorten the nails & I said no however I wanted to change the nail shape from almond to stiletto (pointy). She starts filing them & she does a completely different shape than what I asked for. After doing that she asked if the shape was okay but I knew if I said no she was going to file them more and shorten the length so I decided to stay quiet. After that she started painting the nails and everything else was fine. I paid $45 for this service which is not bad but I usually pay $30 for my nails at another salon. Today I saw one of my nails chipped off and I got them done yesterday. Definitely I get a better quality at another salon that's 15 minutes from my house than this one. read more
