Well we've got plumbing guys - Ell-Dee Plumbing. When you read the reviews on here and on Google, you'll read words like "honest", and "fair", "hard working", and "trust worthy"... ALL TRUE. Our hot water heater went out 2 weekends before Thanksgiving; we called Steven on that Monday totally expecting for him to come out Tuesday already, but he was actually apologetic that he couldn't make it on the same day I called. So we agreed upon 9AM the next day, he comes out, assesses the situation, and then talked us through all the options from least to most expensive, short term vs. long term fixes, and best and worst case scenarios... very thorough and transparent. We opted to replace the old water heater we had (it was 14 years old anyway), and he had the new one installed by 2:00P that afternoon, all clean and up to code! Thanks, Steven! But that's not all... So a week later, the day before Thanksgiving, we noticed a puddle slowly forming on the garage floor. Immediately called Ell-Dee and left a message, with-in 15 minutes we get a call back from Steven who is about to leave town (it is the holidays) telling us that he's sending Joe over to check things out. Joe shows up, assesses the situation, gets our permission to open up a wall possibly two, and finds the leak that had probably been leaking for years but had been plugged up with sediment that we probably never even noticed it. Less than an hour later, leak fixed, shiny new copper pipe in place. Thanks, Joe! That's right, twice within 2 weeks. Both Steven and Joe are personable, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with! Did I mention the only surprise we had with bill(s) where how REASONABLE they were?! I bought the replacement faucet. For comparison, Space City plumbing charged me $400 for the exact same services. Both companies took about 2 hours to complete the job. On another job they charged me $595 to replace the flange (I had already removed the toilet) and put the toilet back on. The job took about 1.7 hours. I didn't get a bid from another compny for this job, but $350 an hour seems really high. Hopefully I don't have any problems with the plumbing on either job, but if I do, I'll find another company to do it.

Our garbage disposal started leaking on Sunday and we needed someone quickly. The companies we used before weren't available until Wednesday and couldn't give me a quote without coming out. I sent messages to several companies on Yelp and Inheritance Plumbing responded within minutes. Their service fee was $125 but waived if we approved service, which seemed fair. Chris estimated a 3:00pm arrival but later texted that he was delayed. He didn't arrive until 5:00pm. Once here, he quoted $785 to replace the disposal. Based on my research, average cost is usually $400-$500. I asked for details and was told the price included a 50% markup on the disposal plus a $350 flat fee. I reluctantly approved because our schedule didn't allow us to wait longer without a working kitchen sink. Afterward, I looked up the exact disposal and saw it cost $200 at Home Depot. Even with a 50% markup (which I also think is high) that would be $300. I also know that businesses don't pay customer costs so that seemed really high. Add in the $350 labor, and the total should have been closer to $650. With cash and first time customer discounts, we paid just under $700, but I still feel this was significantly higher than fair market pricing. I later spoke with two friends who own plumbing companies, and they confirmed that the price should not have exceeded $500. We also run a few businesses and I understand needing to cover overhead and labor costs, but this felt more like an "emergency fee" than a standard labor charge and feel like we were price gouged. I called 2 more reputable local companies the morning after and both quoted under $400. As a consumer we would expect fair pricing and this was definitely not fair. Overall, the work was completed professionally and same-day, but the pricing was much higher than other companies. For that reason, I personally would not use this company again.

All About Plumbing was recommended to me by the company which did foundation work on my house. It…read morewas suggested that I get a hydrostatic test done to ensure there was no damage to my plumbing as a result of the foundation work. Based on the recommendation I did not do any research on other companies. My mistake, All About Plumbing charged me $725 for the test, which they said showed a slow leak. However, they could not tell me where the leak was and suggested I contact American Leak Detection, an expert in leak detection. American Leak charged me $350 for the exact same test, nearly half the price of All About Plumbing, and their testing showed no leak. American Leak uses a more thorough and accurate testing method. All About Plumbing looked for the leak with a camera which they said was above and beyond what was required to complete the hydrostatic test, but there was no leak to be found. I can't say if they are good plumbers in areas other than leak detection, they may be, I can say with complete certainty they are overly expensive plumbers and I would not use them again.
