K. Patterson Paving's bid to pave our gravel driveway with asphalt was VERY fair. The various specs…read morefor the job (widths, shape, and composition of layers) were fully discussed and understood by both parties. Job date was set and kept. Day of job it was clear that the only member of the crew that understood the job was the one Patterson I'd spoken to. A homeowner doesn't want to hear members of a paving crew arguing about "not having enough asphalt..." due to job design--which only one of them even understood! After the job was completed, I called and texted multiple times, asking him to stop by JUST so I could point out places where they were obviously making up for a shortage of product. Conclusion: - Patterson Paving has the skill and modern equipment to do the job, but they are terrible communicators! - Get all the specs, important considerations (width at street), layers, sketches--written into the contract. - Cleanup of our property was complete; you couldn't tell they'd been here (except for the driveway. ;-) - Our driveway, while a little less than what we expected, looks pretty good! The owner or who ever he is started swearing calling me things I can't write here. He started kicking up the edges of my driveway and walkway. Saying that he was going to just goi to rip everything up. I had to call the police and have a no trespass order issue. I was willing to give him one last chance to fix things but his behavior was unacceptable and aggressive towards m. I decided never again.
