I cannot begin to convey my frustration with this company, and the shear lack of customer service. I am going to share my experience in detail for hope of saving others the headache I have had! In summary, save yourself the trouble and use another company that cares, provides clear communication and doesn't use "I am so busy & short staffed" as an excuse to provide such poor customer service! After having an inspection completed by Jesse on 9/3, I had requested a proposal to have repointing completed, crown repaired, and a new cover installed. I received this proposal on 9/8 and made the decision to use them on 9/14, signing the contract and returning. After 4.5 weeks of me sending multiple emails, calling multiple times, leaving multiple VMs, I was finally able to speak with someone to get me scheduled. They tell me the best they can do is schedule me for 11/28. After voicing my displeasure over this and the fact of how would they get repointing done in late November, I call other companies to see what they can do, paying fees to have those companies come out and quote. Jesse calls that evening to apologize and says he can get me in on Friday, 10/23. Fast forward to today, 10/23 and they no-show for a 1-2 p.m. window after rescheduling me from this morning due to mist. I call the office to find out what is going on and they indicate that due to weather they had to reschedule me to 11/2. Here at the house in Bow it hasn't been even misting since earlier this morning. Keep in mind, by the time 11/2 gets here I probably won't be able to have the repointing done because of cold temperatures. I spoke with Jesse and it is clear that he has no care over making things right and conceding that they clearly screwed the pooch on this. I believe they are so busy that if customers like me "fall through the cracks" it is no big deal as they are making their money due to the busy season. Now I am in a situation where Crown is the only company that can try and fit me in for repointing this year, I have spent more money on getting other quotes, all to learn that Crown is excessively higher on what services I need them to perform. read more

Just finished up two days of extensive chimney repairs. Replace two flues, cleaned and sealed the outside of the chimney. Very friendly and clean. We have a nice house and I was concerned about the amount of demolition and that the workers would be coming in and out of the Josie with snow on the ground. Not once did they track anything into the house. Each night they cleaned everything up. When completed they explained everything to my complete satisfaction. read more

Very professional! Had chimney inspected for a home we had just purchased...they were upfront and honest. Was given two separate estimates as requested. Chose Crown to prepare and install pellet stove. Had to have roof repaired before chimney repairs could be completed. My carbon monoxide detector went off. Called the plumber I use. He brought a detector and checked around. The appliances (hot water heater and boiler) were fine, but he told me the chimney was blocked. I called Crown Chimney. The office staff at Crown Chimney does not return phone calls, making it difficult to schedule appointments. It took three phone calls to get my initial cleaning and inspection. We were then told there were repairs that needed to be made. It was another week to get the quote for the repairs, which came from a no-reply email. After two unanswered phone calls to the office I called Jesse (the owner) directly on his cell, which is listed on his business card. He never apologies for the difficulties I have had scheduling appointments with the company, however, does promise that I will hear from someone by the end of the day. This was right after lunch on a Friday afternoon. I should not have been surprised, but I did not hear from any that day. Monday night around 9:00 pm I get an email from the office wanting to set up an appointment . After discussing this with my husband we feel it in our best interest to take our business elsewhere, it is just too difficult to reach someone and make appointments. I did email the person back with my concerns and disappointment and never received a response or a phone call to discuss these issues. They obviously do not need our business. read more

I have used Crown Chimney twice and have nothing but positive things to say. The first service was for lining and capping two (very old) chimneys. They do extremely neat and clean work. They take pride in their profession and definitely went the extra mile during the installation. The most recent service was the annual inspection.
