I picked up my size (8), which didn't have a price sticker, along with another box clearly marked $129, and asked an employee to clarify the pricing. She scanned the shoes, and they came up as $189. She then asked the manager if they could honor the $129 price since multiple boxes were clearly labeled that way. The manager refused, saying that because my size 8 box didn't have a $129 sticker, it had to be sold at the promotional price of $189. Instead of honoring the marked price or taking responsibility for the mistake, the manager instructed the employee to remove all of the $129-labeled boxes from the shelf. I've worked in retail before, and I've also been a customer at many other stores. When an item is mistakenly marked or advertised at the wrong price, good customer service is to honor the displayed price for the customer and then correct the mistake afterward. Pricing errors happen, but how management handles them is what matters. To make matters worse, during my visits, there was multiple times I watched people walk out of the store carrying what appeared to be multiple pairs of shoes without anyone stopping them, yet management refused to honor their own pricing mistake for an honest customer. That contrast made the situation even more frustrating. Instead of taking responsibility, management chose to remove the incorrectly marked boxes after I pointed out the mistake. That's poor customer service and reflects poorly on Nike's management. This experience left me disappointed and feeling like customer satisfaction wasn't a priority.

Oh, you know, well the next logical place- right about a mile down the street. Yup. However- that location is slightly smaller, and is only staffed by 1 person (that I saw), so I prefer this one. It's a lot bigger and they had about 4 employees here on a weekend, which was WAY more than enough, since it doesn't get that busy (yet). There's super teeny tiny baby shoes to toddler shoes to women's to men's. For clothing, I only saw men's. The store had a 40% off everything sale when I visited, so some t-shirts were only $4 or $5. Pretty good deal! It's still a little hidden gem, due to the location, and Footlocker outlets haven't opened everywhere yet. If you're a sneakerhead who always drops $200 or so on shoes, you might wanna stop by here and see what you can find. So far, so good, but it's not THAT cheap.

They didn't come in my size so I asked what next pair he would recommend? He stated they are all good shoes. My wife said to me I think we need to go to a store that knows more about shoes. Went to SAS on 3rd Ave. in Chula Vista. Gentlemen there with 35 years working in the store, measured both feet then showed me his recommendations. I bought a pair from him and wore them all day Sunday and my feet didn't hurt when I took them off or the next day. He was very knowledgeable all the shoes and we very pleased with the experience. He stated the store has been there for 64 years and is family owned.
