We're totally heartbroken after learning our healthy 10 year old Yorkie (Amari) died while being boarded at K-9 Bath Body & Boarding. If he was old or sick we could've been better prepared, however the thought of him passing alone without us hurts. He'd had all his shot, clean bill of health as of his last Vet appointment. They just returned our beloved Amari to us died and wrapped in a blanket. The owner didn't even greet us to offer condolences or nothing. Hopefully, soon we'll find out exactly what happened to our baby!!!

I have been putting off getting my dog groomed since he is older and not doing well. I voiced my concerns before making my appointment and was matched with a groomer her was able to meet all his needs! I submitted his vet records via text and was able to say exactly what I wanted. Since my dog is older and can't stand for long I opted for the "express" package. It was a little more money but I knew he would be done sooner. Honestly, even with the express it was cheaper than taking him to the pet store groomer, and they did high quality work! I called to make the appointment and was fit in that week. The employees come to your car to pick up and drop off your pet as well which is was convenient.

Talented groomers, DREADFUL management/customer service! It saddens me to have to leave this review but K9 is not what it once was when it opened in January 2020. We were original, frequent, dedicated clients from the time K9 opened until January 2023. Their service *was* impeccable and the best in the area UNTIL the owners turned to greed and lost its mom & pop small business charm. It drove this long time, shouting praise & recommendations from the rooftops, dedicated customers away. Over three different grooming sessions in recent months, I was overcharged by $40+ (combined). I politely reached out via their online communication system AND to one of the owners in a social media message. I trusted Denise Edwards (one of the owners) when she replied that she would resolve it the next day. (Hmm, I am still waiting to hear back from her.) I ended up having to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back. It made me hesitant to book another groom, wondering if I would be charged correctly. His most recent shape-up/trim was billed at over $12 more than their online system shows and for less work! If you're a customer, always double-check your billing receipt and their prices! In July 2022 I received a text from one of the groomers that they could not pluck my dog's ears, a service they offer. When I asked Tim Edwards (the owner) for further information, he told me his employees were bit. I asked why he wasn't muzzled in the first place, and he used a personal reason with his own dog to reason and provide hope for someday. However, my dog hasn't had any issues elsewhere! In November while my dog was boarding in their facility, I received a text from Tim asking me to leave a 5-star review. First, I will always give the review I think a business deserves based upon my experience (AND at the time I had already left a review - and it was 5 stars! I've since deleted that.). Secondly, we felt it was a bit unprofessional to reach out while we were on vacation (which he knew, because our dog was dropped off with him). I was curious why the sudden message and looked at his business reviews to see if there was something recent. I wasn't surprised to see that someone had just left a 1-star review, bringing his score down some. The person's review was justifiable. He replies to negative reviews, even if it's someone's opinion because he can not accept constructive criticism and always plays the victim. Most recently my bad and final experience was receiving this vile text message of him putting down another business after asking me what they did wrong. Tim stalks his competitors (and customers like myself apparently) and feel's it is acceptable to tear another business down. An absolutely disgusting and tacky business move. This is a direct reflection of his heavy ego in which he feels he is superior. I left this business quietly in January after having to dispute the charges with my bank and wanting to try a new facility. After I found out he saw my review on a competitor's page & sent me a text talking so terribly about them, I decided to not return and warn my friends as to who they are supporting if they choose to use K9 Bath Body & Boarding.

Sookie after her grooming service. She was excited to show me her new look, lol.

They did an amazing job on 2 young Brussels Griffon puppies cutting their fur into a summer cut.

Best place in Madison County area for poodles and doodles. You can drop off in your PJ's because they come to your car.

Throughout my time away, Amanda kept me updated with regular photos and messages, so I could see how my pets were doing, even with the time difference. It was so thoughtful of her to keep me connected to them when I missed them so much. When my trip got unexpectedly extended by two weeks, Amanda was incredibly flexible and didn't raise the rate, simply updating my invoice until I returned. I really appreciated her understanding and fairness. The property where my pets stayed is spacious and perfect for animals to roam and play, and you can tell Amanda and her team genuinely care for the animals like their own. I'm so grateful to have found such a trustworthy and reliable place for my pets. Here is a copy-and-paste version of the veterinary board complaint:…read more To the Mississippi State Board of Veterinary Medicine: I am submitting this complaint regarding my treatment by staff and management at Animal Health Center. While I understand that this complaint may not ultimately result in disciplinary action, I believe the Board should be made aware of the conduct and professionalism concerns I experienced. I was a longtime client of the clinic and entrusted them with the care of my pets for many years, spending thousands of dollars there over time. Because of that history, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Instead, I experienced behavior that I found dismissive, intimidating, and unprofessional. During my interactions with the clinic, my concerns were not taken seriously. I was spoken to in a manner that I felt was rude and condescending. At one point, I was laughed at by Dr. Peterson, which I found particularly upsetting and unprofessional. What should have been a straightforward matter escalated into a situation that became unnecessarily hostile and adversarial. I understand that management often handles administrative matters on behalf of veterinarians, but this situation grew beyond a simple administrative issue and became a broader problem involving the culture and professionalism of the clinic itself. Rather than addressing my concerns respectfully, I felt that I was dismissed and treated as though my concerns were not worthy of consideration. Additionally, I have concerns regarding representations made to me about the availability of a kitten for adoption. Based on information available to me, I believe I may not have been given accurate information regarding the kitten's availability. While I understand that clinics and organizations may exercise discretion in adoption decisions, I believe clients deserve honest and transparent communication. My purpose in filing this complaint is not simply because I am dissatisfied with an outcome. Rather, it is because of the manner in which I was treated throughout these interactions. Clients should be able to raise questions and concerns without being mocked, dismissed, intimidated, or treated disrespectfully. At a minimum, I hope this complaint ensures that the Board is apprised of the conduct and character concerns that I experienced. Veterinary professionals occupy positions of trust within the community, and I believe respectful, professional treatment of clients is an important part of maintaining that trust. Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter. Sincerely, Frances Hess You can copy and paste this directly into your complaint form or cover letter.

He did a trial run and they said he was one of the best trials they ever did and we felt confident in leaving him overnight for a short trip. All was well so we decided to book him again for our 3 night vacation. Our dog did not come back the same, he has been anxious and timid since returned and that isn't even the worst part. The second we got in the car we noticed that his back paw was hurt. One of his nails had been completely ripped off. Not broken, completely gone and the quick completely exposed. When we called them to ask what had happened they claimed no knowledge, said it was a common injury - which I have never seen before- and basically did not care at all. We had to take him to the vet and have him sedated so they could cut the quick back. He is now on pain medicine and antibiotics and no word from the Ark. I understand accidents happen but we weren't even informed and they did not care. Even worse, we discovered an abrasion on his neck from the tight collar band they put on him to identify him. It's very clear to us that they do not care about or pay attention to your pets safety. We are absolutely gutted that our boy was treated poorly by people we trusted him with. Not to mention the vet bills we have had to pay on top of the boarding expense which is very close to what we paid for our holiday which was quickly ruined when we came home to discover our dog had been mistreated and hurt. We will never be back to this place and we highly urge that you do not use them either, they don't deserve to be left with the care of your pet and it's clear that if something does happen under their supervision that they do not care. Please take your pets elsewhere.
