We're totally heartbroken after learning our healthy 10 year old Yorkie (Amari) died while being boarded at K-9 Bath Body & Boarding. If he was old or sick we could've been better prepared, however the thought of him passing alone without us hurts. He'd had all his shot, clean bill of health as of his last Vet appointment. They just returned our beloved Amari to us died and wrapped in a blanket. The owner didn't even greet us to offer condolences or nothing. Hopefully, soon we'll find out exactly what happened to our baby!!!

I have been putting off getting my dog groomed since he is older and not doing well. I voiced my concerns before making my appointment and was matched with a groomer her was able to meet all his needs! I submitted his vet records via text and was able to say exactly what I wanted. Since my dog is older and can't stand for long I opted for the "express" package. It was a little more money but I knew he would be done sooner. Honestly, even with the express it was cheaper than taking him to the pet store groomer, and they did high quality work! I called to make the appointment and was fit in that week. The employees come to your car to pick up and drop off your pet as well which is was convenient.

Talented groomers, DREADFUL management/customer service! It saddens me to have to leave this review but K9 is not what it once was when it opened in January 2020. We were original, frequent, dedicated clients from the time K9 opened until January 2023. Their service *was* impeccable and the best in the area UNTIL the owners turned to greed and lost its mom & pop small business charm. It drove this long time, shouting praise & recommendations from the rooftops, dedicated customers away. Over three different grooming sessions in recent months, I was overcharged by $40+ (combined). I politely reached out via their online communication system AND to one of the owners in a social media message. I trusted Denise Edwards (one of the owners) when she replied that she would resolve it the next day. (Hmm, I am still waiting to hear back from her.) I ended up having to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back. It made me hesitant to book another groom, wondering if I would be charged correctly. His most recent shape-up/trim was billed at over $12 more than their online system shows and for less work! If you're a customer, always double-check your billing receipt and their prices! In July 2022 I received a text from one of the groomers that they could not pluck my dog's ears, a service they offer. When I asked Tim Edwards (the owner) for further information, he told me his employees were bit. I asked why he wasn't muzzled in the first place, and he used a personal reason with his own dog to reason and provide hope for someday. However, my dog hasn't had any issues elsewhere! In November while my dog was boarding in their facility, I received a text from Tim asking me to leave a 5-star review. First, I will always give the review I think a business deserves based upon my experience (AND at the time I had already left a review - and it was 5 stars! I've since deleted that.). Secondly, we felt it was a bit unprofessional to reach out while we were on vacation (which he knew, because our dog was dropped off with him). I was curious why the sudden message and looked at his business reviews to see if there was something recent. I wasn't surprised to see that someone had just left a 1-star review, bringing his score down some. The person's review was justifiable. He replies to negative reviews, even if it's someone's opinion because he can not accept constructive criticism and always plays the victim. Most recently my bad and final experience was receiving this vile text message of him putting down another business after asking me what they did wrong. Tim stalks his competitors (and customers like myself apparently) and feel's it is acceptable to tear another business down. An absolutely disgusting and tacky business move. This is a direct reflection of his heavy ego in which he feels he is superior. I left this business quietly in January after having to dispute the charges with my bank and wanting to try a new facility. After I found out he saw my review on a competitor's page & sent me a text talking so terribly about them, I decided to not return and warn my friends as to who they are supporting if they choose to use K9 Bath Body & Boarding.

Sookie after her grooming service. She was excited to show me her new look, lol.

They did an amazing job on 2 young Brussels Griffon puppies cutting their fur into a summer cut.

It was so thoughtful of her to keep me connected to them when I missed them so much. When my trip got unexpectedly extended by two weeks, Amanda was incredibly flexible and didn't raise the rate, simply updating my invoice until I returned. UPDATED (10-14-18): Just wanted to update, as my dog, Irish, has stayed countless times now for…read moreday-play. I had family from Germany in town for 2 wks. Irish was able to spend time with us, but because we were going to various places ...she couldn't come most of the time. It was also too hot to leave her in the car & she still deals strongly with separation anxiety. So nearly every day for 2 wks (not the weekends), she did stay here for day-play. She seems happy when I pick her up each time & even knows where we're going when I say she is going to have a "FUN DAY"! Instead of lying down in the car, she stays upright until we arrive, which is unusual! She even wags her tail at times when I pick her up, which if you read below, this is a big deal, since she is an older rescue dog I recently adopted. The AWESOME STAFF are starting to get to know her & her "ways" a bit more, which is helpful. More than they realize, they have helped me out quite a bit. I do pray she will get better with being left alone at home for short periods of time. However, until we get to that point, I will continue to bring her here when I have dr's appts and/or errands that will take several hours. This way I know she's cared for & won't be "as lonely" if she were just left at home. I do hope they'll start to have day-play on weekends, which it sounds like they may do in the near future. That will help out greatly, as I don't want to just board her, but actually give her some social interaction with other dogs, if I need to go out-of-town for any reason. I also like the cameras in upgraded rooms, so you can watch your dog while they are in there. However, I hope to see more cameras on the premises, so you can watch while they are playing, as well. This, too, may happen in near future, as I'm sure it's a matter of funds. Lastly, I hope they end up with some kind of "frequent day-play and/or boarding" program. Where you can buy X-amount of day-plays and/or boarding in advance to get a reduced price. That would make for an ideal gift for someone! KUDOS TO STAFF! OLDER POST: I've only had my dog, Irish, since April 30, 2018. She is nearly an 8-yr-old rescued Beagle that I ended up adopting. She had major surgery for 11 tumors back in April (one literally the size of a baseball). The vet firmly believes she has cancer and could live for 6 months or 6 years ...there's just no way to know. Either way, she's a sweetheart of a dog and I know I made the right decision in adopting her back in mid-May. Irish does come with a lot of separation anxiety, as well as being scared of loud noises ...particularly thunder & children. Due to all of this, it has been difficult to leave her alone. I've tried various methods to keep her calm while I have to run out to do errands & such. Unfortunately, it will take a lot more time with a lot of love & patience. However, I'm willing to do what it will take. This includes the added expense of putting her in doggy day-care -even if she is not much into "playing" given her age & health. She seems happy enough to be around other dogs & people ...more so than just staying at home while I'm out doing my errands. I'm grateful that Paradise Pet is local & willing to take last-minute drop-ins & of course long-term boarding, if needed. I did use their long-term boarding last month for an unexpected death in the family that took me out to Texas. Paradise Pet took very good care of Irish while I was away. That was her 1st time there. She's been there 2 more times just for day-play. I will be bringing her back for this again soon! Over-all, I'm very satisfied with Paradise Pet & will definitely recommend to anyone that's looking for such a place to either board and/or do day-play for their dog. They take cats, too, but I don't have a cat, so can't give any info regarding that. BIG-BIG KUDOS TO ALL EMPLOYEES HERE ....and to management for hiring such great & caring employees! I truly mean it, as it makes all the difference for both Irish & me! Blessings to each! ~ Deb & Irish ~ (Madison, AL)

All was well so we decided to book him again for our 3 night vacation. Our dog did not come back the same, he has been anxious and timid since returned and that isn't even the worst part. The second we got in the car we noticed that his back paw was hurt. One of his nails had been completely ripped off. Not broken, completely gone and the quick completely exposed. When we called them to ask what had happened they claimed no knowledge, said it was a common injury - which I have never seen before- and basically did not care at all. We had to take him to the vet and have him sedated so they could cut the quick back. He is now on pain medicine and antibiotics and no word from the Ark. I understand accidents happen but we weren't even informed and they did not care. Even worse, we discovered an abrasion on his neck from the tight collar band they put on him to identify him. It's very clear to us that they do not care about or pay attention to your pets safety. We are absolutely gutted that our boy was treated poorly by people we trusted him with. Not to mention the vet bills we have had to pay on top of the boarding expense which is very close to what we paid for our holiday which was quickly ruined when we came home to discover our dog had been mistreated and hurt. We will never be back to this place and we highly urge that you do not use them either, they don't deserve to be left with the care of your pet and it's clear that if something does happen under their supervision that they do not care.
