Luckily, we worked through 4 sessions with Steven Myers and I'm fairly convinced he could train Cerberus given enough patience and owner effort. He listened to my specific concerns (biting, barking, using the house as a port-a-potty) and addressed each one through training - training of both myself and the new dog. With his training and following "homework" training at home, my little guy has gone from violating most of the Geneva Convention to being a happy gentleman. I cannot recommend the Canine Mind enough, and if the other trainers are even in the same ballpark as Steven, then all of them will do absolute wonders for any dog!

Alex was so great at addressing everyone in the class and their specific concerns. I felt like even though it was a group setting, the trainings were still specific for each dog. The difference I saw with my dog after just 6 weeks was amazing. I was able to learn how to more effectively communicate with my dog. You can really tell they care so much about dogs and what they are doing. I look forward to continuing with some group classes.

I've been taking my dog, Goose, to TWP for daycare and boarding for almost three years. When he…read morefirst started at TWP, I was trying out another daycare facility at the same time to see which I was going to continue using. Well Goose got hurt twice within two weeks at the other facility (it was a bit of a free for all with all the "energetic" dogs in one space, which I think is more common than not), so I stuck with TWP. At first Goose was very nervous, and the updates I got didn't sound like my dog at all. He was about a year old and a highly energetic cattle dog mix, so it surprised me he was so anxious. Turns out once he learned the rules, he thrived! Now he's a "teacher" (hilarious). He helps new dogs feel comfortable playing in a new place. He has a blast whenever he goes for daycare, and I trust he is safe when I board him there as well. The staff are great and make sure to give him extra cuddles and pets when he's not playing with his dog friends. The training programs have always been outside my budget, but the socialization Goose has gotten from simply going to daycare 1-2x a week has been a game changer. The structure and staff's careful monitoring helped him learn how to appropriately interact with other dogs. It's a great place. I plan to keep coming here for years to come.

First of all, it is not one size fits all. They had a wonderful trainer, Amelia, who worked with our puppy daily and was incredibly responsive to him. They had daily blocks of social time, training, agility, rest, lunch, and potty time, so he was never worked beyond what his attention span could handle. I loved their approach to the social time. Most dog daycares simply toss all the dogs in a room, which led to many of our first dog's issues, so we love that TWP keeps a close eye on the dogs and actually teaches them how to interact, which is something we couldn't do ourselves! The daily report cards were above and beyond what we expected. We got a summary of his day, photos, and a written explanation of how to work with him at home on his skills, sometimes there were even videos! It isn't cheap, but it was worth every penny, and we have recommended them to all our friends!

That's when I decided to hire Alexandra. Alexandra is such a calm and patient trainer. She is knowledgeable and she has taught me how to manage my dog's reactivity as well as how to communicate with my dog during walks. My dog still struggles with reactivity, but I am better equipped to manage it and walks have become significantly less stressful. I definitely recommend Dog Savvy Los Angeles and if in the future, I get another pup I will definitely reach out.

I was committed to get her training and I knew that I wanted only positive reinforcement training in fear of possibly traumatizing my already traumatized dog if I tried other training methods. I did a lot of research, and unfortunately so many trainers are not forthcoming about the methods and tools they use. I've done a few consultations with trainers who seemed promising on their websites, only to find out they use e-collars or prong collars, which I did not want for my girl. Luckily, I stumbled upon Alexandra. Her whole program is virtual, which I wasn't sure about at first, but the training I've received has been more valuable than any of the in-person sessions I've done with other trainers. The training sessions are all a series of games, which Phoebe was so receptive to. She was able to learn so many new cues in record time. I was really impressed to see my dog work through the game challenges and figure out what to do on her own! I feel that the program has set a solid foundation for when I start to practice our training outside with more distractions. Remember that training requires commitment outside of training sessions! You will get the most out of your dog's training if you consistently practice the games with them everyday. Alexandra is also very flexible with scheduling. There were a couple times I had to cancel and reschedule sessions last minute due to unexpected work meetings, and she was very accommodating. She's also given me referrals to other local trainers who could help me with in person socialization with Phoebe. If you are looking for a good positive reinforcement training program for your pup, definitely give Dog Savvy a chance! Alexandra's love and passion for dogs and all animals is admirable and her wealth of knowledge has been invaluable to me and Phoebe.

I unexpectedly was offered my dream job in a small city about 45 minutes away from my apartment,…read morebut I had to start immediately. I frantically turned to the internet in hopes of finding a good dog-walking service, and I hit the jackpot on my first try. I had never had a dog walker before, so I didn't know what exactly to expect, but I can safely say that whatever expectations I did have were blown out of the water by Ryan and the TWP team. I currently use the 30-minute walk, 5 times a week, option. A QR code magnet on my refrigerator allows the dog walkers to "check in" when they get to my apartment; they then walk my dog, Georgia, if she's up for it - she hates the heat, so if she doesn't feel like going out, the dog walker accommodates her and still spends 30 minutes at my apartment whether sitting with her, scratching her, playing with her toys, etc. Using the same QR magnet, the dog walker "checks out" after 30 minutes are up. While at work, I get an email every day during the "walk window" I specified during sign up, and I know the appointment has started. After half an hour, I get a second email to let me know the appointment is over along with a short message about where they went, what my dog did, and how she seemed that day. I love that I get these updates, because I initially had some guilt over taking this job, but I now feel completely at ease knowing that my dog is having fun while I'm at work. I've met two of the local walkers who take care of my dog, and both were extremely professional and courteous. It was immediately obvious that each of them love dogs, so it's no wonder that my dog is so excited to see them every day. I'm single, I don't have roommates, and outside of my career, Georgia is the most important thing to me. If I hadn't felt completely and totally at ease with a dog walker during the first day or week that I used their services, I would cancel immediately and find another service. Luckily, TWP is exactly what I was looking for - and more. I have recommended TWP to friends and coworkers, and I could not recommend their services more highly.
