He has a tendency to runs late, which never happened before. The hygienists are less than good; my cleaning took less than 25 minutes and my husband timed his cleaning time at 21 minutes. I'm not a hygienist, but I don't know how you can do a thorough cleaning in under 25 minutes. I've been going to the dentist for 5 decades and never had cleanings this fast. Also, my teeth don't have that just cleaned feeling you get when walking out of the dentists office. They are in Covid mode so the cleanings are with the individual instruments, which apparently takes longer than the water cleaning. Again, he's very nice but I'm changing dentists due to inadequate cleaning and long wait times.

My issue is with the billing practices. The practice makes patients pay up front before ever sitting in the chair. As in, I was paying the bill at check in. This means I'm paying for services that have not been rendered yet and I've had situations where my insurance has provided coverage so I paid for services out of pocket that I shouldn't have had to. They did send a refund but deducted money for other items they said were on my account. It felt sketchy. I find I have to watch the billing like a hawk and honestly I'm so utterly frustrated and flabbergasted by the business aspect of the practices I left. There are plenty of dentists who do good work and run a different business model that takes care of patients. I always left feeling that practice took care of their bank account before patients. When I questioned the billing practices I was told that's how most dentists do things now and that's blatantly not true.

When I went in to have it reattached I was made to feel like it was my fault and they wanted to charge me nearly $100 just to look at it. This after paying thousands of dollars for the crown just 6 months ago. I refused to pay and while sitting in the waiting area and I had other patients tell me they feel the same. Remember when taking care of a patient was the first priority of Dr Bliss!

Dr. Maria Moser attempted to do a tooth implant on me. I say 'attempted' because it was botched-…read morethe abutment part was too big. She even said this right out loud, in surprise, as the procedure was getting underway. She went ahead however and tried to put the thing in anyway. As she tightened it into place I almost screamed and fainted; this was far and away the most painful experience I've ever had, in a dentist's office or outside of one. The pain didn't let up and five days later I had her take the abutment and crown back out. She put me on a course of antibiotics to try to stop any infection from the obvious swelling that had begun (see the picture). I rejected her offer to try the whole procedure again, this time with a "tissue punch", and had the botched part redone by a dentist who'd been voted the 'Best in Boston'. Dr. Moser never apologized or expressed remorse and of course never refunded the thousands she charged me and my insurance. I'm currently pursuing legal action against her and filing complaints with the local and state licensing boards.
