We bought tickets online and unfortunately it rained the day we planned to go and the farm was closed for that day but they refused to refund our tickets stating we could come another weekend. There was only one more weekend left before Halloween and we were busy. Had to change our whole Sunday around which sucked. The farm was out of pumpkins besides the little pie pumpkins so that was disappointing. Otherwise, my daughter had fun and that's what mattered overall. My wife and I visited Kackleberry farms with my sister and her kids. We all had a great time! The attractions were so fun for adults and kids alike! I especially enjoyed the apple blasters and corn maze. The food was also delicious as well. Be sure to try the apple cider doughnuts! You won't be disappointed. For me this establishment was not ideal for a field trip. They have a decent amount of activities but not enough to keep the kids busy for the duration of time spent there. There is literally no staff walking around to assist with questions. The big slide was closed the entire time. Considering I didn't eat before coming because of time it was a disappointing that none of the food huts were open. The store doesn't offer a good selection of take home goods. The donuts were not tasty. I will not be returning to this place for the foreseeable future. read more

This place is adorable and well intentioned, but the new owners don't have the heartbeat of the local area. Everything is so expensive! 3 years and up have to pay from $22-25 dollars per person. When Farmer Charlie owned it there were military discounts, grandparent days, and 1/2 off prices on Thursdays because not everything was open. Now, it's adding more and more and pricing out the local economy. We used to go and we tried it the first year and second year with the new owners, it just isn't the same. It's just an overpriced Instagram thirst trap. read more

It's amazing and there is a lot to do similar to other fall farms closer to my home. The food/drink choices could use some help the overall taste of the food is not very good and not many choices do children. The burgers were 11.95 a piece and they were obviously preformed frozen as they were oval it tasted like only salt both my girls would not eat it. it was too salty. if we went again I would definitely pack a lunch and go back to the car since the only other option was pizza. The kids enjoyed themselves but it definitely was a pricey day with 4.50 lemonades and 11.95 burgers that did not get eaten. They enjoyed bubble station and other places the big slide was a a hit of course. Staff was friendly but it took quite awhile to get a drink etc even when there was not line. read more

Terribly long lines for no reason. Food lines took over an hour after ordering & they were giving away wrong food to numbers. Right next to a highway all you can hear is highway noise. For a wide open parking lot you can spend your money at a lot cuter places. read more

Great place to bring the kids for some fun but was quite disappointed in the lines for everything here, the line just to get into the bakery was about 20-30 mins long. Ordered a few lemonades from the coffee and juice stand and waited more than 20 minutes for the drinks after waiting 15+ mins for food prior to this. read more

We should have read the website more thoroughly- it does clearly state that $16 general admission is required for EVERYTHING- including just the bakery or watching your kids have fun. Gets a star for a pretty good website. We've been to dozens of pumpkin patches in 4 states, and most do not require a general admission unless they are INCREDIBLE. Kackleberry has lots to do for littles, so I would say the amenities for under 12 are great- another 2 stars for really so much stuff! Pirate ship playground, big slide (extra $), treehouse playground, fire pit, picnic tables, corn maze, rollers, goats, little grain train (extra $), etc. No shoes in 50-degree weather on most of the jump items, so dress warmly! There really isn't a whole lot to do for adults, and my oldest was bored before we entered, so it was annoying to not have a lower-priced general admission for onlookers. One star off for mediocre donuts- they look good and you can see them made fresh right in the bakery, so it's just maybe an overmixed batter- dense and a little gummy. If they were still hot, might have been crisper, and probably would have been better. One star off for a related issue- customer service. My sister bought donuts and so did I, the kids tried hers and spit them out immediately. I would say my kids are pretty picky, but not when it comes to sugar. For $14/dozen I took a chance and went back into the bakery immediately to try to return them. The box was unopened and still fresh from the morning, but the bakery manager was so offended I got a terse, unfriendly, "everything here is final sale unless there's something wrong with them, not just that you don't like them." Basically, our donuts are awesome and you're the problem if you don't like them. That's actually a pretty fair policy for a family- run business. Not common, by my experience, but definitely fair. I wasn't accusatory, I was pleasant, so the poor counter server was uncomfortable, and I was taken-aback by his tone. Of course, policy is not the issue, but without a clear "final sale" signage, you may want to expect a customer may try to return an item. I didn't mean to offend, and in the end we were out $14 for the donuts and felt scolded. Bottom line- it's fun, it's pricey, and maybe skip the donuts or just buy 1 to try. read more

"Corn Maze Adventures" along with farm animals, hay rides, etc. Tons of silly things to do, and the best part is everything (except the pumpkin cannon) is included with the entry fee! This family owned farm is not related to Apple Charlie's in nearby New Boston. There are three corn mazes of increasing levels of difficulty. The first is perfect for little kids as you follow storybook pages to reach this end. The story for the 2014 season was Spookly the Square Pumpkin. The second maze was much harder and was the Incredible Hulk, with Hulk trivia at critical points to steer you to the right path. Unfortunately it was extremely muddy in the middle from rain a few days earlier, and the third maze was completely closed. There is a Corn Cop on a tower in the center who helped guide us to the end. We enjoyed giant iced cookies and gooey brownies around the campfire. There is also cider and hot food available. They are also going by the name "Kackleberry Farm" even though I'm not sure what a kackleberry is! read more

DIsappointed. They advertise 10 acres of mazes. They have three mazes, only one of which is what I'd consider decent sized. This maze was closed. When we asked the ticket attendant about the mazes, she said one was closed but she thought they'd open it. Then when later we asked about opening it she said they weren't planning on it. I don't know what changed in the half hour in between. I think we were misled before we bought the tickets. I later asked Farmer Charley, or whatever the farmer's name really is, he said the maze is on clay and he can't help wha tthe Lord does. I then inquired about a pass to return since the good maze, the one we came down for was closed, and he said we could buy one. So the answer was spend more money so you can come back later. This was outside of "The Lord's" venue and in his. This is way overpirced for wha tthey offer and I don't think very customer friendly. I would advise everyone to avoid. I have been to several mazes and it looks like this one from the map is not one of the better ones anyway. If you decide your going to come I would call ahead and make sure the large maze is open, the one on clay. Who knows how often the better one will be open. None of the other mazes are remotely worth the $11 dollar enterance fee. read more

I came to farmer Charlie's expecting to have a good time with my group of friends at the maze. As we began our quest, we noticed there was a steady presence of people in red vests. I figured they were there to help people that were lost find their way out and thought nothing of them. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We had picked up broken pieces of corn(not taking it off the stalks) and threw it at each other(not at strangers, only our friends mind you) and one of the people in the red vest told him he needed to talk to farmer Charlie. Farmer Charlie kicked him out despite the fact that we said that we fine and he didn't hurt anyone. He made some dramatic statement that someone could of been KILLED by kernels of corn. Stupidest thing I've ever heard. The same guy in the red vest who turns out to be part of their "security" kept kicking out various friends of mine. Like for cutting through a 4 foot gap of corn so they could get to a bathroom. It's simply ridiculous. They have hired power happy, inexperienced, unprofessional security that makes your time miserable. I paid good money for this maze and after 5 of my friends being kicked out we just left. Mind you that we were minding our own business and were hurting or disturbing anyone else's time. We we not running thought the maze either. I highly suggest that if you are high school to college age find another maze like the one by cabelas. That one is actually fun. Bottom line, unless you are a parent bringing a child 10 or under, save your money. read more
