He is easy to work with, and accommodating to all the changes I requested along the way. Very good experience working with him and the crew. The deck turned out beautifully and is the envy of the neighborhood. One last thing, Bradley's business is so good that we were on his waitlist for a a few months. So contact him early in the spring or even in the winter for next year's project. My colleague told me you always want three things from your contractor: quality of work, reasonable price, and getting the job done as you wishes. But you can never get all three of them. So we pick the first two and waited for his schedule to clear :)

Upon completion, I had issues with uneven boards and some coming up and a gate that wasn't installed right and wouldn't shut. They did come back to address those issues. My main issue is the fact that i have a section on each side that has privacy fence in place of railing. I didnt realize until the first time the wind blew it apart and I contacted Bradly, that the fence is not trex but another brand. I bought new brackets and hardware to rebuild it and have since rebuilt it 3 times luckily having bought extra materials. I now have 2 fences blown apart. I talked to Bradley, the owner and he said he doesn't use that company anymore and that he would come by in the next day or 2 to look and see what other options I have since that brand is obviously not good quality. He has never come by and the only thing i have gotten from him is a text asking if it is an insurance claim. I said no, given i have a $1000 deductible and wouldn't think it would exceed that. I have since heard nothing after having called and text him about 7-8 times in the past 3 weeks. What really disgusts me is that he knows I have 2 small children and it being a safety concern with it being a 2nd deck. Guess there wasn't enough profit in it for him to help a customer in my situation and was hoping to juice an insurance company for alot more than its worth

It wasn't going to be a big job, only about 56' of ornamental fencing and Penn Fencing scheduled our Estimator, Charlie to visit a few days after calling them in early March. We received the Estimate a few days later and the pricing was comparable to the other quotes we gathered. Penn Fencing came recommended to us by 3WS's Johnny Hartwell and we went with his advice and selected them for the work. It has only taken five (5) weeks for the materials to arrive and the install to be scheduled. Kevin and his two (2) man crew arrived promptly at 8:30am, to do the work and they were finished in about 90 minutes. No mess, no inconvenience, and they disposed of our old fencing for us. The fence looks great! I did have to go back and tighten a few screws, but it wasn't a big deal. We are very pleased with the job they did and would recommend them for your project.

THE WORST, LAZIEST, AND MOST DISHONEST business owner (BRUCE). Do yourself a favor and choose…read moreanother vendor if you are installing a deck in the Pittsburgh area!!! This contractor installed a new deck in 2022 before I purchased my new house on Cranberry Township (Park Place). During my inspection, a safety hazard was noted and repairs were recommended. At least 2 of the deck planks were not secured appropriately and the edges were protruding up, creating a danger of tripping during normal use. The seller's agent provided me with the deck Contract which included a 10 year warranty on defects. I contacted Bruce (who I understand to be the owner of "decksunlimited") via text and he agreed to fix the defect/hazard. I then contacted him NUMEROUS times over the next month, attempting to schedule the repair and explaining my timeframe (as I still live out of state), giving him MORE than ample time to arrange the repairs but he NEVER responded to me again. I finally felt I had no other option but to arrange for someone else to make the repairs and I made arrangements with a handyman recommended by my real estate agent to make the repairs. He had to purchase a parts kit ($40) and charged $200 for the work which required him to remove numerous planks, saw them down, replace them, and secure them to the base. He informed me that the deck planks had clearly been installed incorrectly in that area and it appeared the contractor had "run out of materials" and had therefore finished that area without even bothering to secure the planks to the deck frame. He also stated that his repairs couldn't completely fix the problem because that would require the-doing that area of the deck but that at least the planks would now fit in a way that would not force the edges to stick up/higher than the rest of the planks. Due to the company's - Bruce's non-responsiveness and failure to schedule and/or make the repairs (or to even respond to me to schedule), and the fact that the defect was a safety/tripping hazard, I was left with no choice but to find and pay someone else to make the repairs. Because he refused to contact me to address and resolve this issue, it's clear that he doesn't care about repeat business or loyalty so my only option prior to taking legal action was to report him by fling claims with the PA Bureau of Consumer Protection and the Better Business Bureau. Sadly, so far according to both entities, he had refused to respond. This is NOT how an honest businessman or a decent person behaves.
