The "5 year warranty" doesn't feel not feel like that after I've spent over a year trying to get them to take care of a minor leak in the roof they put on. Today I was told "if you keep calling me and texting me I won't get there" by the owner. Bob is literally THEE best in Pittsburgh for this work. He is fair, exceptional work, and such a friendly guy. The only "con" is that I didn't meet him sooner. RG Remodeling remodeled my upstairs bathroom within a week's time. My house is 80+ years old and was looking very grandma-esque, if you see the photo of partial part of the bathroom it looks like a fire hit it, this is where a stand alone shower was that caused a leak in downstairs ceiling. I could not have asked for better service, professionalism, more than fair pricing, respectful employees, and a complete 360 of my bathroom. March 6, 2024 I agreed to a repayment schedule, but Bob has not stuck to it. When I asked where my payment was on February 3, 2024, his answer was, "You'll get it sometime this month." Not surpringly, it's March, and I still haven't received a payment. Now I have to find a lawyer to ask what my options are. replaced my roof, including a very low pitch section. That section started leaking 4 months after replacemen. Ruined the drywall. He sent a guy out - didnt speak English. They claimed it was deteriorated chimney pointing. I paid them to parse it. Roof continued to leak. Never a fix that lasted. 2 years. Sued at magistrate and I won. He refused to pay. I had to get lawyer to represent me in Common Pleas Ct. We finally sued his insurance company and won. Owner Bob was disrespectful and dishonest. It seems similar instances have occurred with other customers. We hired R&G to do a basement remodel in 2023 as we had a baby on the way and needed a home office put into our house. After about a week of normalcy only 1 worker started showing up and doing a few hours of work before leaving. Shortly after that they completely abandoned the project. We called Bob to see when they would continue and he claimed he had a problem getting workers. After continuing to try and work with him he would yell or just hang up the phone when we would reach out. We eventually had to hire a new contractor to finish the project. We had paid for 2/3 of the job and R&G only started the demolition phase. Bob claimed he would reimburse us but never did so we had to take the issue to court where we won. Bob agreed to a monthly payment plan afterwards but only made 1 full payment and another couple fractions of a payment before those stopped. Bob was dishonest and rude through the entire experience. Don't even considering hiring this company. read more

Retracting my 5 stars from 2020. RG Roofing seemed like a great idea until it wasn't.  We were told that a whole new roof was put on our house but little did we know that they didn't rip up whatever was on the flat portion part of the home they just covered it up with "ice water".  Three years later, the "ice water" blew up off the roof.  The first worker that arrived came and glued it back down and said that it was only a temporary fix and it would need redone entirely and Bob would get back to me. Two days later, it blew up again.  Called Bob and stated that the employee said it was only temporary and that it would need attention to be fully fixed.  Another 3 weeks go by and another person comes to fix the roof and again, just glues down the "ice water" and states that it is temporary and needs attention.  The 3rd time it blew up, I called Bob numerous times to schedule a time for someone to come and look at it and figure out a solution.  He gave me a phone number to call and schedule a time with Sydney. To note, this issue has been going on since mid-April and it is now July.   I called the office 8x in that week and left 2-3 voicemails with no response.  Called Bob again and he stated that they never received my calls or voicemail, which is a lie. Bob then came over that day with another worker to figure out the issue. The worker was on our roof gluing down the ice water again.  Bob then asked for our contract, which I gave him and stated that we were contracted to receive a new roof and ice water put on the roof.  Nothing on the contract stated that he was covering up what was currently on the low pitch, it stated "new roof" as in NEW ROOF taking off everything on the old roof.  He got angry and is refusing to do the work under the warranty.  Screaming at me in my backyard that I am the problem and doesn't understand "why your husband doesn't handle these issues"  Clearly has a problem with women as he said "I knew you would be an issue". The poor employee apologized after Bob left and said he is hot headed.  My husband then called and Bob said he would have someone over the week of the July 4th to fix the problem or at least figure out a solution.  That week has now pasted and no one came to a resolution.  We will be moving forward with another company to fix this ongoing issue since April and will never use Bob or recommend RG Roofing to anyone. Highly suggest to stay away, the price might be right but as soon as there is an issue of any sort, he will become defensive and refuse to help and threaten lawyers because "it's not his fault it blew up"  might not be his fault the wind blew but installed a product that clearly can't test the time of 3 whole years. read more

Do not recommend this company. I hired for a bathroom remodel. The job was not finished the work that was done was horrible. The brand new tub had chunks taken out. The tile big chips and chunks. Tile was not level and grout lines all different sizes. Fell thru my ceiling did not clean up from their accident. Showed up whenever they wanted did not put in full days. I called Bob as a referral from a neighbor for a roof repair/installation. I was very happy with the work done on his house, so I was looking forward to the same with mine. I also needed the roof repair done quickly as multiple storms were coming two days later. Bob got back to me and came out to my house for a free estimate same day. The next day, before the storms, my roof was repaired!! No leaks! Bob and crew just came back out today to install the new roof. I choose Colonial Slate by Owens Corning and the new roof is beautiful!! They were courteous, efficient, the quality is top notch, and I'll be going back to R G for other future projects as well!! We also used them for remodeling. They were to do the roof and gutters. They also replaced a back porch. Let me say Bob does not follow thru on anything. Our gutters pulled away in the winter and our back wall of the house was iced. Called him 3 times said he would be out never came. Saw him in a store confronted him and said it slipped his mind but still never came back Did not connect our attic fan as requested. Just awful work all the way around. The caulking job looked like a 5 year old did it, again never came back If you want to throw your money away call him otherwise please hire professionals for your job. read more

Due to a sewer line break in my basement, I had to rip out everything - including all the wood paneling and flooring in our game room. Bob came over and helped me think through options that would fit my budget. We ended up putting in new lighting, drywall, bathroom fixtures (in the adjoining bathroom), new flooring, and painting. While they were working on my game room, we had a terrible storm and my roof began to leak. Bob was able to fix it quickly and also installed some gutter guards. Bob coordinated all the necessary teams, and was great at keeping me informed on the project's progress and communicated as issues arose. His teams were professional and reliable. The job was completed on time and within budget. I'm very happy with the resulting game room! read more

Hired them to take out a bearing wall, another small wall and to put in a marble kitchen floor. Their price seemed reasonable, but you get what you pay for. My biggest complaint is that we paid a lot of money for marble flooring. After it was installed i noticed that just about every tile had multiple scratches on them. The owner of the company Bob even agreed that the scratches weren't there when they were originally put on. He agreed that he would be back out to replace them. This was already after he was paid for the job. Never came back out despite saying several times that he would. After so long he just stopped contact. They also had to move a light switch. Half assed that as well. They put it half on a piece of trim going up the wall so it doesn't sit flush and now theres a big gap. They left my house a mess and left a good bit of trash for me to get rid of. Overall i wouldn't recommend this company. You get what you pay for and i much rather of paid more for a company that cares and doesn't half ass their work. read more

unprofessional, sloppy and untrustworthy. tub removed, shower installed. by code shower drain must be 2". They attempted to simply connect new 2" drain to existing 1-1/4" pipe. I refused to accept this. they had to take it back out and had a plumber come and do it correctly. putting them a day behind. They also cut a water supply line, soaking the garage ceiling below. Cement base for shower was finished wrong. Tile guy spent half a day remedying this. putting them further behind. Attempted short cuts through-out the project. When brought to the owner (Bob) attention he said he can't be there to watch everything his crew does. during deconstruction the screen to bathroom window was removed by the crew, so they could empty debris out the window. Screen was never reinstalled and I found it a week later laying out in my yard. They also knocked a cap off a railing post on my porch. It too, was found laying out in my yard. The owner Bob also shows up at the project and proceeds to yell and argue with his workers. One worker being fired on the spot, only to show back up a day or two later. He then proceeded to screw up a drywall project, and was fired again! The owner Bob argued with me, my wife and my mother-in-law when called out on lies or deceptions. Amateur construction all around. The only thing Bob did correctly was find my house. For two days of work, one of his crew brought his son to work. My wife baby-sat the boy while his father worked, until 9:30pm !! read more
