The inefficiency at Kadlec Gastroenterology is breathtaking! I had my initial consult in February, but then making an appointment for the necessary procedure proved damn near impossible! They schedule appointments only a few weeks ahead, and they won't call patients when a new block of appointments opens up. You have to keep calling them to ask for an appointment, and can go MONTHS being told "Nothing available - call tomorrow/next week/at the end of the month". Then I got an appointment for the procedure in July, but they canceled the pre-surgery appointment without telling me, and couldn't reschedule my pre-surgery appointment in time. The clueless wonder on the phone told me, "Never mind - just skip the pre-surgery appointment and arrive for your procedure." Apparently she doesn't know that BEFORE a gastric procedure you have to spend several DAYS drinking noxious substances on a schedule to ensure your internal pipes and tubes are clean and empty! So here I am, 8 months after a concerning diagnosis by my primary care physician, starting the whole process again with a different gastroenterologist because these incompetents still refuse to proactively help with setting up my second set of appointments, and I don't think it's safe for me to spend another half year trying to make this happen. This was my first visit to this office, and I was surprised. I arrived early to my appointment and entered at a different entrance. The information desk stated I arrived too early, the office does not open till a later time, and Regardless of the time I was scheduled, the office will not open. I did go to the proper entrance to be greeted with a smile, and my nurse practitioner accepting me at my given appointment time! Kudos! read more

The Kadlec Health System has gone significantly down hill. This place especially... unprofessional, didn't schedule appointments when supposed to, didn't call with results test results. When GI issues are so debilitating, I really wish medical professionals and staff could take these issues more seriously. I could add more but I would highly recommend going to another provider. read more

Like is the case in so many of the offices I deal with I sincerely feel the support staff do not do Dr Maher justice. However, this absolutely does reflect on the office as a whole. It sure would have been nice to hear the fn results from my Hepatitis panel back in Sept when I was flagged reactive. Total BS I was not informed and put other people I love at risk by preparing their food in the meantime. I tried to get back in and follow up with Dr but the hispanic front office ladies would not lwt me schedule an appointment. Furthermore, its Jan now and a different Dr wit access to my chart who actually give a shit has to inform me of this offices test results. Total bs. read more
