Love this new beautiful Cafe that just opened in Edgewater. The food, drinks and desserts are to die for. They have great selection of pastries/desserts and they roast their own coffee beans. Would highly recommend theirs crepes, baklava, chocolate desserts and drinks. The place has beautiful decor, super clean and organized and the service is outstanding. Thank you to everyone for being very attentive and making us feel very welcomed on our visit. Can't wait to come back.

Our hotel was near by so we stumbled upon this place for breakfast. Their crepes were good and their fluffy pancakes were delicious. FYI the pancakes took a very long time, at least 25mins. The staff did let us know that it would take a long time but she did not specify how long. So we assumed like 10 mins longer than our crepes. We were the only one in there, not sure if they had take out orders. Our 2 plates of spinach crepes came out first and my kids pancakes did not come out until 25 mins later. We literally finished our plates before theirs even made it to the table. We did share with the kids because the wait was so long. I took away 1 star due to this. They should specify exactly how long it would take for the pancakes instead of just saying "it'll take little longer for pancakes" or at least make the pancakes, time it where when it's almost done then they can start on the crepes, so it can all be serve at the same time. But if we're back in the area again I would totally come back just for the pancakes. It was yummy

    I LOVE THEIR BAKLAVA

A 15 minute wait for coffee as others who came after us were given priority. This place is a mess.

I have fine memories of walking through the streets of Recoleta and Palermo at night in search of a quality alfajore, or mornings started with a dulce-filled medialuna and a coffee. This very good Argentine bakery took me back to those days, with a delicious chocolate-encased alfajore paired with a cortado and a crispy churro filled with dulce. For a savory bite, the cheese and spinach empanadas were tasty, if a bit salty. They were both baked, as is the typical style within B.A. city limits.

The croissant is perfectly toasty and tender and the bacon is doing its thing too- very generous, the right thickness, flavor and crisp! Teach me. Oh, teach me! The place is always busy so I order online and pick it up. A couple times the orange juice seemed a bit wateryand they remade immediately. No issue and it was better! The other thousand times I've ordered, the juice was perfect. That's how you know it's 100% orange juice and not from a bottle or can. The cakes and pastries look amazing but I'm a creature of habit so can't speak to them. However, the people I have sent have only great things to say! After the crowd dies down, good place to come and study, people watch, lunch meetup, etc. lots of tables and space. Great addition to Bergenline!

We figured while we were grabbing the gift card we just had to try a cookie too. When we arrived, there's a couple steps you go down to get into the store. We went in about 10am on a Saturday, and there was about two people ahead of us. We were helped within minutes, and I ordered the Two Chip Chocolate Chip Cookie, while my partner got the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie. I believe each cookie ran a little more than $5/cookie. We threw the cookies in my backpack, got lost going to Trader Joes, and then went back to the hotel (a 40 minute journey) and to our surprise - the cookies were still warm even though it was raining outside! My partner and I demolished those cookies within seconds. They were warm, slightly crispy on the edges, so many chocolate chips inside and chewy in the middle. If I could describe the perfect cookie this would be it. I imagine this would be delightful with a cold glass of milk. I also noticed several people at JFK with Levain bags, so I'm guessing it's common to stock up and bring home. Now, I'm trying to convince my partner to go to the location in Beverly Hills when we're in the area.

This is end of day food, or prior day's left-over food from stores and restaurants. The items were supposed to be a value of $15, but the items in the bag were not that value, nor were they in-house baked goods. They gave me 2 stale cut up baguettes, which they normally don't even sell, nor are they on their menu. According to the counter staff person, they order them from somewhere else so they can sell them on the weekends. (So they were baked Friday?) The counter staff person said her boss packed the TGTG bag and there was nothing she could do. I question these baguettes: which kitchen were they cooked in? Someone's home kitchen? I've never seen baguettes sold or baked in Reb's store, only desserts. In fact, this is what Barachou advertises: "Handcrafted choux à la crème, tarts, and viennoiseries -- all made fresh daily." Anyway, what I got were 2 stale baguettes which were cut in half so as to fit in the bag and one croissant (that's fine). The baguettes are inedible, and they can't be price verified because they are not even on their menu. If they're going to advertise on TGTG, then they need to honor the intent of the app, and provide the stated value of yesterday's leftover OR extra dessert items. This was bait and switch. Bait & switch means you advertise one deal (ie "$15 value") but replace it with a much cheaper deal. TGTG customers know they are getting day old or end of day items, valued as such. But they should not be shortchanged and given $5-$8 values that are advertised as $15 or $18. The bag should have had something like a cookie and 2 almond croissants or 3 specialized croissants. Even more disappointing as I have shopped here often especially when she was first starting out during the pandemic. Sorry Reb, but you lost me as a loyal customer. ***editing to respond to owner: I've never had a TGTG restaurant regift another restaurant's goods yet claim they are baked fresh in store. I've also never gotten baguettes that are already cut up for me. Do they do it that way in France? Also does Bread's bakery know that you probably buy their baguettes three for $5 special and then probably resell them at your store? Or do they deliver direct to you as one of their vendors? Just curious.
