The Westside Natatorium is accessible to the public and they offer public lap reservations, host competitions, team training, and they even help kiddos how to swim. The facility is setup with separate entries for spectator viewing and there are dedicated spectator bathrooms and locker room for those who are swimming. What really stood out to me is how they have an upper deck for spectators and there are plenty of rows for friends and family to watch. If you are interested in getting a swim workout in there are two ways to go about it. You can make a reservation ahead of time for a one hour session or you can roll the dice and simply walk-in. I have yet to make a reservation because the lanes are so large that it's pretty easy to grab a lane. Each lane is able to hold up to four swimmers. I've lucked out and have only had to share at most a lane with one other swimmer. Now when it comes to pricing you can pay for a swim session at a time, at the price of .... wait for it ... it's quite unbelievable ... for three dollars! You can also get unlimited swim for thirty days for only $30.

This is such an outstanding convenience/essential for us "aged out" folks provided with our tax…read moredollars through El Paso Parks & Recreation! I normally get around on my EV (aka my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike), but it was out of commission most of February/early March 2023, so my backup plan was to continue exercise via my much better half's upright (Specialized Windrock), cycling to/from this marvelous facility. The hours are extremely convenient, the cost minimal (especially if you buy a month- long pass), but the best part are the personnel. Manager Victor and the lifeguards (particularly Karen & Christian) are very attentive (I always feel safe, especially when doing my Lao in the water), friendly and professional. Fellow swimmers are likewise friendly , and there is an excellent lift system to accommodate wheelchair users. I really like and appreciate the numerous grab bars, especially in the showers. When cycling from Hawkins Pool, I found myself in need of an energy boost, which is "Untapped Maple Waffles", which I've purchased both from Crazy Cat Cyclery (North Stanton & Baltimore) and online. El Paso is extremely fortunate to have such an excellent facility with extremely competent individuals in charge; definitely, my coveted "iWheel of Approval!" goes here!

OKAY so today is July 15 2025 and me, my sister and my my mom came here to practice in the swimming…read morepool becauee me and my sister are on a swim team and wr were swimming for a while and then we got a bit tired and decided to go were the slide is and all the little kids stuff but not even 10 minutes in we got in trouble for going in there, why? Well supposly if you go in the swimmer area and then go into the kids area it's bad cause of the wate which obviously is weird so my mom decided to go talk to the manager and no she is not a karen or whatever for talking to the manager she had an reason to talk to him and she came back and said that he said it got to crowded in the kids area and the swimmer area which was totally different from what the lifeguards said which is crazy that they just lied to our faces and honestly the swimmer area and kid area was NOT crowded at all only one lane in the swimmer area was being used by a younger kid like younger than my sister and we even saw her go on the pool with the slide and she didn't get in trouble but we did? made no sense and it was just very weird and the manager was very petty to my mom which is not correct to do and the lifeguards lied straight to our face and even if it was true and that something with the pool water, fix it! it's not our problem you can't fix your own pool that has been up for a while and no wonder because the water looks bubbly which is not because of the water splasing onto each other it's gross water and the stairs up to the slide are disgustin as well, like hire a cleaner if you can because i do not wanna be stepping on that. Over all this pool sucks no offense, it's gross and all the above and the manager, Eric or Erick, please be better manger and stop being so petty you are aleast 40 or older to be acting like this like if your pool is causing this annoyance to you, you should even own a pool or work at it.
