I really do NOT recommend their attorney Jimin Kim (that's the only attorney that works for this firm). I heard that her aunt who works as a paralegal is quite good, though. However, Jimin Kim is not very thorough, unprofessional, and very VERY disrespectful. She has an attitude (unless you're having your first consultation where she needs your business.) When she is bothered by something, she shows to the client that she's bothered. What kind of attorney is that? Of the very few times I've called attorney Jimin Kim because I was not informed about the process of my case, she did answer the call but as soon as I said, "hello, this is your client so-and-so, without even saying a word such as "please hold on" or something, she just transferred my call to the front. This happened twice, so I don't think it was an accident. First of all, if she's going to transfer your call, why answer the call??? Why not have it be done the other way around? I feel that she uses her authority as attorney on her clients because she knows the clients need her help and we can't really say anything to her... I really DO NOT recommend this place and I feel bad for her paralegal aunt because I heard from many people that she is very professional. read more

Working with, as I came to call her, Michelle was a painless experience. In the past I have gone through and worked with two other lawyers for traffic related reasons and both times I felt that I was treated as a child. Michelle's demeanor was professional, and her staff was responsive. I was rear-ended on a high way and injured, while I expected this to be a painstaking battle with insurance claims, once I hired Kai Law Group I had very little in the way of personal work to manage my claim. I have never thought that I would be treated disrespectfully by a legal counselor, Jimin Kim, A.K.A Michelle, in my life. After we were rear-ended by a military police person at complete stop, we have been suffering physically and mentally. I hired her because my mom's friend knows her. She's her cousin or niece or something and my mom's friend actually works there, too. From the beginning, we weren't really informed what they were going to do other than "Finish our treatment." We were very concerned about our physical damage but also medical bills. The bills were stacking. I called them to get some answers from either legal counsel or paralegal. They always said, "We have to finish our treatment." Their professionalism is extremely low. I have a close friend who's a lawyer. When I showed her letter, she told me that she wrote a 10th grade English paper. I call her as a legal counselor because she shouldn't have a title, "Attorney or Lawyer". She is more like an immigration helper or divorce listener. Once she told us that we were lucky that we weren't charged by hour like divorce couple. What the F was that? It was not only unprofessional but we were waiting for 15-20mins to see her for our case. That was actually 3rd time seeing her. Also she said she was upset with me because I have contacted her too many times. OMG. We only saw her 3 times over 6 months. There were about 5 times of phone calls with paralegals not even her. First of all, lawyer's job is answering questions and resolving issues of clients. If this was an issue, you shouldn't be a lawyer. After we were treated not only disrespectfully for over 6 month but I also got a response from her that "Sure. I'll be forwarding your files along with Attorney Lien." Really?! Attorney Lien?! What did you do, really? They have nothing done until they always asked me to finish the medical treatment. Anyway, be careful to hire a legal counselor near there. Also she has another office in North Seattle. Again, she's one of those. read more

I had amazing experience with Kai Law. I don't usually write yelp review but I had to for this place. I hired her for my immigration process but between that time I received few traffic tickets and she represented me. :) Long story short, everything was good and smooth. For my immigration case, she gave me clear instructions and updated me with the documentation status ... and for my traffic tickets, I just had to give her my tickets and she took care of it. JUST LIKE THAT..all three of them.. I was super worried that it would go on my auto-insurance record but thanks to Attorney Kim, everything is clear. I live in Kirkland so I mostly visited her in Lynwood office (I believe that office is smaller than her tacoma location, but I like the north office better because it give me more private time with my attorney, her tacoma office was very busy whenever I was scheduled there... ) I would highly recommend Attorney Jimin Kim for any of your legal problems :) I referred few of my friends for auto accidents and other legal cases and seems like they had all positive experience! read more
