After every workout, I walk out feeling it was better than the last one! The koaches are very knowledgeable on the moves and the correct way to do them to get the most out of your workout. After just one class, I feel like this is a 5 star place. The owner, Amber Gourley, is so supportive, encouraging, friendly and helpful. I have just started Kaia, this was my 3rd class (the first 2 being in Sparks), so I am behind the other girls that were there, and still pretty weak. She modified all the exercises for a beginner, and still encouraged me every step of the way. Since I work in Sparks, the Spanish Springs Kaia, is working with the Winnemucca Kaia, so I can still attend classes, for one price, based on which location I am in for the day. It took a while to get worked out, but the kinks were with the national company, each local ownership provided amazing customer service, and I highly recommend sticking with conversing with the local entities vs. the corporate side of things. Amber started us off with a fun hula hooping warm up activity, fun and "pump you up" music, and ended with a few nutrition tips and a reminder to drink lots of water. The only improvement would be to the website, as the class times aren't listed, but Amber responds extremely fast and can give you the times. Right now, its Monday thru Wednesday with 5 am, 9 am, and 5:30 pm classes, with Thursday being the walk/run day, at 6 am, and back to the other schedule for Friday. Unlike the bigger city schedule, we don't have classes over the weekend here, which I actually prefer. The main point, I was nervous and embarrassed to start Kaia, they advertise as a place for all types and levels, but you never know what you are getting into. And while I was discouraged I wasn't at the same level as the other girls my first day, Amber, made me feel like, the work I did do, was awesome for me, and so it motivated me to keep working hard so I can see the results. Don't be ashamed or scared to come in, they will work and modify it so you have something that challenges you at your skill and strength level. They want you to succeed. read more
