And holy moly people drive fast around here, there are children on scooters, others walking but no regard for them day or night. Be cautious if you're out there. I'm giving a second star because if it weren't for the humans around us ruining this experience, our spot C38 was really well shaded and large.

Unfortunately, we couldn't have a fire due to fire restrictions. However, we were able to bring our own gas-powered fire pit. I'm glad my husband checked the website a few days prior to our reservation, otherwise we wouldn't have known. It would be nice to get informed by email if you have a reservation about fire restrictions, because if we didn't bring our blackstone to make our food, I would have been very upset. Before arriving, I did some research on the black bear shack that our friends told us about, but sadly found out they are not at this campground anymore. The road coming in is extremely bumpy and rough. When leaving the campground, I recommend going left instead of right. Our cars needed a very good car wash after! The campground is very beautiful. The weather was perfect; in the 50s at night and high 70s in the afternoon. I would definitely camp here again.

The rv sites are really packed in together, and the tent sites are in rocks, no shade and also packed in. Our glamping tent was wonderful. We called it our Harry Potter tent. It was nice to have linens already together, a mini fridge, storage, lighting, and chairs. It was a great setup. The cabins are also nice especially the larger ones with bathrooms. The shared bathrooms were clean. The single shower bathroom combos were nice for privacy. The activity director had fun and kept everyone involved in a putting challenge, flashlight hunt, bingo, and cornhole. The cafe and store are also very nice. We already booked again for our group to be back next year.

We had a flat tire on our camper on the morning we were scheduled to leave, and we were unable to get the lug nuts off to change the tire. Two campground employees noticed our struggle and stopped to help. They had the tools to loosen the lug nuts and then stayed to help us finish changing the tire. Couldn't have done it without their help!

As we entered there was a LOT of wear and tear visible, completely filthy air filter. Shower was degrading, toilet paper holder had been ripped off the wall and half way patched. One of the bunk beds had a stain/spill down the side and you could see the accumulation of dirt/debris. The ac read 86 and was blinking red. The whole place felt dirty and uncomfortable and gave us the impression we wouldn't be sleeping without a few crawling friends. Within 5 minutes of checking in we went to the front desk and they were adamant about their no refund policy and stated "what did you expect from a train car" well for $198 for one night I guess we expected more than they were willing to provide. I could not recommend this less. Their minimal pictures do NOT show you what you are signing up for.

They accommodate our gluten free and vegetarian needs excellently. The equipment was well organized and reliable. They are helpful in providing transport to and from the put in and you can leave your car for a $3 a day fee - which is much safer then leaving it at a put in spot. Unfortunately, even though we returned about 30 minutes early, his bike ran out of battery and he had to pedal and walk it back. My battery was also blinking and close to dying by the end. We didn't want to wait around for a replacement battery while on the trail, so we just returned the bikes and continued with our day.
