My girlfriend is from Bavaria and I'm from the U.S., we were looking for "traditional" Bavarian breakfast spots. This place was fantastic. I thought the food was outstanding and my girlfriend says a pretty traditional meal too. We ordered the platter of salmon and beef, white sausages, and bread. We had fresh squeezed orange juice and a breakfast beer. This place was beautiful inside and overall super great place to come in for breakfast!

    Amazing Kaiserschmarrn....yummmm

Having been here now for the third time, I have really begun to like the place. It's very local and many of the people are known to the staff. It is the place for a lot of young people in the area to hang out and the food is also quite good, The kaiserschmarrn here is to die for :-) sickly sweet pancake with a nice apple sauce. It is probably the best one in Munich so far, for me anyway. All in all a great place to hang out when it is not too busy. The staff however are a bit slow and it does take them a while to come around.

Relaxing breakfast. At 10am on a beautiful spring Munich day.

Great beer garden - good location friendly staff and the menu doesn't disappoint I had Guinea fowl - which was cooked to perfection wasn't to keen on the carrot purée which came with it but overall very pleased My friend has the Risotto and enjoyed it so much nearly forgot to share ;-) The have English menus and accept credit cards Would go again

This place was bustling with people outside and inside just seemingly enjoying themselves, good weather and company. This was a highly advised place to visit by the locals and so we came here to check it out. Authentic Bavarian/Austrian fare that included big big portions of protein, carbs, starches and more of it. If you are looking for comfort food that sticks, this is it. We came with four people, had two entrees and a dessert and could not finish it all. This place was known for the wiener Schnitzel (and no it's not the infamous hot dog), which was basically thinly sliced and breaded veal. We had two helpings of that and it came with helpings of house sautéed potatoes and two different sauces to dip the veal in. The veal was tender and juicy with a good coating of crispy breaded crumbs. Reminds me of tonkatsu in a way only thinner and bigger. For dessert, we ordered the kaiserschmarrn which were thick dollops of dough, raisins, cinnamon and powdered sugar all fried and baked into a thick iron cast pan and served with apple sauce on the side. A very popular and heavy way to end the meal but none the less filling. Do try the ales or if you are like me and can barely sip a sip of alcohol without feeling buzzed, then opt for the radler. It's a crossbreed of a beer and lemonade. Pretty good and a great way to wash down all the food! Nice rustic, woody place with benches as seats and high ceilings and a nice outside area for commingling- this place was a good pick for a nice warm evening out in town.

So after reading the other Yelp reviews, we decided to give this place a shot. We were not disappointed. The schnitzel is perfect and the potato salad is the best I've had (sorry Grandma). It has fresh arugula on it which adds a great flavor when mixed into the salad. The service was top notch even though they were extremely busy. High marks all around.

This is my favorite place to eat whenever I'm in Munich. Great local cuisine in a rustical but yet modern and nice ambiance. In summer time sitting outside is fantastic. I simply love their Schnitzel, one of the best i have ever eaten. Top it off with a Kaiserschmarn for dessert and you'll never wanna eat again :)

    Yummy!

Visiting Munich - seeing…read morethis place as a breakfast choice was fun - and honestly I wasn't initially enamored as I expect something like this to be a caricature of the real thing maybe. But the menu felt unique and interesting enough to visit. I got the Apple Almond Affair - stacks of pancakes, roasted apples and almonds - interlaced with vanilla cream, whipped cream and a side of vanilla ice cream. The Palm Beach - a coconut infused chia pudding with fruit. And - the Hermosa Beach - hash browns topped with mushrooms, onions, egg, bacon and cheese. Additionally - coffee! I was very satisfied with all the flavors - as I mentioned - better than California actually offers. The apple pancake dish was decadent but not over the top intensely rich as one may expect it to be. The hash brown dish was super flavorful and pleasantly presented, with fried eggs perfectly adorning the stack. And the chia pudding was also delicious (covered in bananas - which I removed for myself but were eaten by my companion). Currents and other fruit was atop this dish - a lovely flavorful pudding. Service was outstanding, welcoming. Seating - busy morning but no real wait. Cash only on this day due to network issues but that was ok. Just a very inviting space with lovely people and uniquely outstanding food. Must visit in Munich no matter where you are from!

Staff were all very nice and welcoming and spoke English which was very helpful. We sat inside and it was a bit warm (August and in the high 80s F) but it wasn't uncomfortable. The restaurant was just a ten minute walk from the hotel and on the way we passed a multitude of restaurants. We walked into a very friendly and busy environment. You could tell all the people sitting around us were having a good time and eating what looked like some really good food. We went to a side room that was just a bit quieter and without missing a beat... ordered a beer. Hard to make a choice with their comprehensive menu, but keeping with our tradition of eating lighter in the evening while traveling we went with: - Tomato and Mozzarella salad - A large piece of toasted bread - Veal Schnitzel with potatoes - Apple Strudel Without going through each item in detail I will say that everything was fantastic! Tomatoes and cheese were so fresh and tasty and the schnitzel was wonderful... Not enough good things to say about the amazing strudel..... Nothing like having apple strudel in Germany. Everyone here was just so friendly and helpful to us. We had a wonderful time and I am happy to recommend them to anyone coming to Munich! KUDOs to the team at Münchner Stubn.
