This is a very relaxing members only club on the Windward side of Oahu. They have youth sailing…read moreclasses and many yacht regattas throughout the year, including el toro and laser races around that island at the beginning of the Gilligans Island tv show. My dad (the legendary) Hawaii yacht racer Les Vasconcellos Jr has raced it many times (and i've joined him a couple times on more casual races. The club is very family oriented and they have many holiday parties all year long. The dining room is amazing and they also have a great walk up snack bar. I'm 51 now but i grew up here (and a few other other clubs around the island) and when I go back like I just did, old timers remember me even though i'm not the little kid they used to throw up in the air as a baby. It was peaceful and the pace was a bit slow but everyone was courteous of others. My husband (the actual golfer in this relationship) said he thought it was only alright for the price you pay. He said it's beautiful scenery but they don't do a good enough job sainting the greens. I will say, it also poured down that day. If it wasn't for us arriving after the storm passed, they would've rescheduled us. We paid: $200 per golfer $80 to be a rider $80 rental $30 ball rental $100 Royal Hawaiian golf shirt $60 per golf hat They had a two person per golf cart policy. So if you're a single rider and it's a busy day you might be paired up. The golf cart was nice because it told you how far your in yardage your ball was, it had Bluetooth to play music from your phone, and a GPS. The course is huge so these were all great functions that added to the experience. ALSO, There was tons of wildlife throughout the course that we took pictures of!!!! If you loose your balls you're cooked, it's literally like golfing in the jungle. Overall, we'll check out another golf club whenever we go back. We had fun, but it was good for a one time visit.

Royal Hawaiian Golf Course is one of the most beautiful courses on the Windward side, but don't let…read morethe scenery fool you... this course is no joke. The fairways are narrow, there are drop-offs everywhere, and accuracy is absolutely critical. Bring your A-game because if you're slightly off the tee, you'll be searching for golf balls all day. I would strongly recommend bringing extra balls because this course can be unforgiving. What makes the challenge worthwhile is the breathtaking scenery. The course is surrounded by lush mountains and tropical landscape that make every hole feel amazing. If you're looking for a challenging round of golf in one of the most scenic settings in Hawaii, Royal Hawaiian should definitely be on your list. I'll be back soon.

When you get to the front entrance, you need to drive in with caution due to the there are a lot of feral cats, and wild chickens. The banquet hall is a pretty big room, and has a very beautiful view of Kaneohe Bay. The day we went, the weather was very clear and beautiful. You could see all of the bay and the Marine Corps Base Hawaii as well. The banquet hall is very spacious for any of your special events. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time and experience at He'eia State Park Banquet Hall.

Highly recommend this as an option if you're venue shopping...at the least the views will be one to remember!
