This Hall is really nice and huge! 300+ guests allowed here. Not too sure how much this place can hold but it's the biggest. They also have other facilities that can accommodate smaller events. We've often passed by this Veteran's Memorial Park while driving along Nimitz Highway but it's only been because of a recent occasion that we actually went in. We recently received an invitation to one of our cousin's daughter's high school graduation party which was held at this park. We were excited to wish her well on her high school academic and sports accomplishments as she heads off to continue her studies. As others have described, there is a tranquil garden area and an obelisk as this is a memorial to the Veterans of World War II. The park sits on 11 acres and features camping grounds, a basketball court, a baseball field and 10 buildings. There are four meeting halls with capacity ranging from 50 to 400 people that were built. Along with these meeting halls, there are several parking lots that will accommodate guests. However, I think that if you're planning a gathering here, it'll be best to NOT do it when all of the halls or pavilions have been booked. We enjoyed the graduation party that was held in the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Hall and were appreciative of the open and breezy layout as we got together with family for this happy occasion. "What is: Not exactly a park, not exactly a venue but definitely worth visiting" Whenever I do a morning run to the airport, I usually lazily drive back home stopping at various places along the way back. One of these places has been the Keehi Lagoon Memorial Park. Located Diamond Head of the public Keehi Lagoon Park, this park is privately run and owned. Much of the area is for private use and can be rented for parties, camping, etc. while also catering to non-profit organizations. They do have a beautifully maintained garden area located towards the front of the park, closer to the freeway. A walking bridge, gazebos and other covered areas provide a relaxing visit to this area. Within this manicured and tranquil area is an obelisk which pays homage to the veterans of wars who gave their lives for our country. Pros: Venue has lots of space to work with. Lots of parking. Nice size kitchen and appliances to use. Easy access in and out of kitchen from side parking lot, making it very accessible. The option to come in early to set up hall (IF available during morning slot). Friendly maintenance workers that opened hall to let us set up. Clean and accessible restrooms. CONS: Site Manager, INGA was very rude and unprofessional. Speaks to her clients in a very sassy-like and degrading tone. Multiple tables were wobbly and broken. Several broken outlets around stage area. Extremely heavy chairs that make it extremely difficult to stack and maneuver during set up and break down. MY EXPERIENCE: I would have given a 4 star if our experience with the Manager was a little better, but she really ruinned our night. Hall is not as maintained as you think it would be, paying the price you pay. ADVICE: READ your contract thoroughly!! Make sure you know the in's and out's of what you're allowed to do. Note the broken things and bring it to staffs attention, so you don't get charged. Pray no one is in the morning slot so you have lots of time to setup. read more

Attended a baby's first luau at Weinberg Memorial Hall at Ke`ehi Lagoon Memorial Park this weekend. It's too bad I didn't think to take photos because as of right now, the photos don't do it justice. I'll describe below what we experienced (which was in part due to a really great set-up by the hosts) very specifically, hopefully giving the idea for how much space there was and what kind of things can be done with the open area. The second we parked, before we went into the hall, we were drawn directly from the parking lot into a walk around the grounds. There were a few pavilions, a great pond with a bridge over it, a gazebo, and some sitting areas. Because it was a grey evening, no one was on this side of the parking lot so it was actually pretty romantic with the winding pathways, the water and smaller structures, and the flowers that really popped out against all the greenery. I could imagine, though, that on a sunny day it would make a happening party. I could even see a kid's scavenger hunt, lawn activities, or a bouncy castle happening. So cute! Since none of that was in store for our party, we eventually crossed back through the parking lot into Weinberg Memorial Hall. There's just one video posted as of right now that starts to convey the awesomeness of the building. With a reception table, a candy buffet, a full stage with band and balloon rainbow, a normal food buffet, and a couple of dessert tables, the place still fit ~280 seats (8 seats per table, ~35 tables) and a LARGE photo-booth area (not actually a booth, but a whole stage with a table's worth of costumes, a printer, and a waiting area). Outside the front entrance was two distinct keiki activity areas (face painting and balloon artistry), one on each side of the double doorway, and outside on the back lanai was a pupu table and a bar set-up, plus outside seating without tables. It wasn't a very breezy day at all, but I could see a few balloons on centerpieces impacted by the wind--the large jalousie windows lining the back wall and the open doors and windows on the side ensured a pretty good breeze. It wasn't too hot at all. Maybe midday with Kona winds would be a bit stifling, though. The sound set-up was great, but I don't know if that was due to the host/band or part of the Hall's gear. I don't know anything about the cost structure or getting reservations, but the one thing that wasn't awesome was the parking lot lighting as we left. It was hard to see the curb edges and the puddles once you were more than 20 feet away from the building. There was plenty of parking and we did park specifically far away since we didn't have any keiki or kupuna to move around, but it was kind of a pain to navigate back to the car at the end of the evening. Wouldn't be a problem in the daytime, I'd think, and I didn't notice it at all when getting _to_ the party to begin with. read more

Super OG spot for first birthday and graduation parties..when theres a big party itll most likely be here..lots of parking..big halls (there is a front and back hall)..always a good time here..can get sweaty and you kinda have to leave early I think by 9pm and you have to clean up for yourself. read more

Supposedly they have three hall like rooms so you can have a party. + The room we were in was large (bathroom, bar, stage, enough areas for games and photo booths) Lots of free parking Well manicured Pretty easy to find The room easily fit 300+ people I think you could bring in your own food and drink - The bathroom looked pretty old I got TWO mosquito bites It was SUPER hot. No ceiling fans. The party was at night The speaker system is loud When you rent the place you also have to hire policemen. Our party had two. I've been to this park on several occasions. I've seen a remarkable change through time. They even got rid of the crabby old janitor-lady that use to chase people around telling them that they were mopping wrong. Now there are professional cleaners that take care of the clean-up for you. The new park manager, Inga, is wonderful at taking care of the details. Its great to work with someone who knows what customer service is all about. I recommending scheduling your next wedding reception, 1st birthday party, whatever. This is the place for affordability, convenience, and fun. I think this is a wonderful place to have just about any kind of event that you may want to have. Whether it's a graduation party, wedding, retirement party, etc. this is a very chill, homey, relaxing, and awesome recreation type of center to hold and organize an event here. There is a lot of space inside and outside the Veterans Hall. I've attended and performed for a couple of parties down here, most of which have been graduation type of parties, and this place can accomodate a mass amount of people if you are looking for a space friendly environment. They have a nice stage for entertainment, many tables and chairs, good caterers to cater food and nice place to set it up, kitchen in the back, decent restrooms, decent parking, and just many more for an ideal recreation center. It's conveniently located just right by the Airport on Nimitz at the end of the tunnel area and beginning area before you reach Sand Island Access Road. There's a nice view and scenery of the Ke'eji Lagoon field area. Just one thing, if you organize an event over here makes sure it's does not coincide with another event especially during paddling events and such or else parking and just overall crowdedness will be a mess. My Halau has practice at one of the halls so I'm here almost every week. Lots of parking for the number of girls in my class and they even have wifi. I've never had the need for wifi being that we're just dancing hula. However, there are other groups that get together around the area and they.are.loud. I don't even think these groups are allowed to get together and use a generator and state electricity without a permit. (That's just what my hula sisters and kumus believe) but it can get in the way of hearing our own lessons and conversations. That's how loud they are. Microphone and everything. But other than that, it's a great place to host parties for baby luaus, graduation, etc. Large halls, tables and chairs up the ying yang! read more

Visited Los Banos Hall to check out a possible spot for a party of about 100. The grounds of the memorial is very nice and well kept. There is a full basketball court adjacent to the hall, a small covered BBQ area, a few large trees providing lots of shade in a grassy area (not sure if any of that is extra) and lots of parking The rental fee is not bad, but the Los Banos Hall is in need of a renovation. I don't believe the hall has A/C, there are a couple missing louvers on the windows, the 'kitchen area' is old and had broken wooden drawers, and the tables that were in the room was a combination of round and rectangle. Also, I'm not sure if the women's bathroom (in the hall) had a faucet (there was a sink outside, in the hall). However, Monique was very friendly and helpful. The 4 00 person banquet room in the front of the property (Weinberg) seemed nicer and cleaner from outside. In conclusion, Los Banos Hall was the size we were looking for, but unfortunately, due to the condition of the room, we will have to choose another venue this time. .. Went to a wedding here on Saturday. Wedding chapel is really pretty and right on the water. Small simply elegant wedding chapel in a great location with your choice of two reception halls just across the parking lot. We went to the first one which from the outside looked like the nicer one. A great place to camp or have a picnic. There is a fire ring for a campfire, lighted pavilions, BBQ grills (charcoal), and bathrooms with decent showers. There are also 3 large halls with chairs and tables that can be rented for large groups. Our Cub Scout Pack likes it a lot. Don't leave the camp unattended, however, as there is a group of homeless people nearby who will come over to your camp if nobody is there. read more

Spacious interior but not much can be said about the parking layout. Stalls seem to be all compact sizes thus leaving a lot of open spaces because larger vehicles can't fit in between and the driveways are tight too. Entrance is right off the Nimitz so unless you're familiar, you're gonna miss it. read more
