They wanted him to leave so I told him to go and he did. Then I picked out $350 worth of books and paid for them with my Bank of America card. I left the books there Bc the owner was too busy to call down the street for my ride. After I left she called the cops and decided my purchases must have been fraudulent. The cops called me and I explained my side of things. Apparently I'm no longer welcome there despite the fact I did nothing wrong. 1. I still want to buy the books (they refunded my account.) 2. I want to attend a book signing on the 8th. It's a good store with an amazing selection. Apparently the owner just desperately needs a refill for her can of act right. She CAN make things right by selling me the books. An apology would be nice as well but not required. She snapped and claimed we were "not purchasing customers"--which was a blatant lie, considering we had already bought one book and were standing there trying to hand them money for a second one. ​To make matters worse, Angelica's terrible attitude was entirely fueled by petty retaliation. She became angry and refused to assist us simply because I declined their insultingly low offer for my trade-in books. Angelica is completely unsuited for a management role, and the staff's exclusionary, rude behavior is unacceptable. Take your business elsewhere to a store that actually values its customers.

This is a small but well-stocked independent bookstore in downtown Monument.
