An absolute dream. They have both new and used books, and my favorite sections (philosophy, spirituality, psychology) are well stocked. I have been wanting to visit this bookstore since I moved here back in May. My husband and I finally went in today, here are the pros and cons of our visit. Pros: SUPER cool place!! Many cute trinkets and book accessories, well priced and well organized. The book selection was pretty good (I was able to find the book I was looking for relatively easily) & the books were at a regular price that you would pay at a bigger bookstore such as Barnes & Noble. Cons: the costumer service was SERIOUSLY lacking... the workers were not warm friendly or welcoming. I was quite disappointed as this discouraged me from wanting to come back, despite how cool and fun the actual store was. Overall, I will come back hoping the service is better and maybe this was just an off day for everyone working. But if not, there are other bookstores around! read more

Love browsing the store and seeing what I can find. I love that there is a selection of new and used books. I'm an avid reader, so being surrounded by books is my happy place. The store also as a fun selection of journals and socks and other kitschy items. The only complaint I have is this: Stephen King and Dean Koontz do not make a horror section lol. I love horror, but Stephen King and I just don't seem to mesh well, I know I know...personal preference. The prices are a bit high for some of the used books, but I understand the price on the books is a little bit more than if I was at a bookstore outside of the prime real estate that is downtown, so I try to remind myself of that lol. We moved here in 1995 and have visited this bookshop, along with the coffee shop and the toy store for decades now. If they didn't have a book, they readily ordered it for us. We shopped at the toy store for the kids when they were still kids. Now we shop there for the grandkids. We love the selection of toys and games as they are unique and reminiscent of a toy store we perused when we were kids. The book section is extensive and affordable. We had the most beautiful bridal shower for our book loving bride out on the patio. The food, salad and charcuterie, was delicious and the setting was just perfect! Not too big and not too small. It's so fun to browse in here and this would be a great place to find the perfect book. Stopped here on a visit to Colorado Springs, as it's my BF's favorite bookstore. Covid precautions evident, as you click a buzzer to enter and get sanitizer upon entry - which makes sense given how many things you touch in a bookstore. I could easily spend hours browsing the gift area and stacks here. Good stop for getting local gifts. I like how well organized the books were, and the price tags are color coded to distinguish whether they are new or used- I don't often see shops that combine both so it was interesting to see how it was handled here. Staff were great about checking in to see if we were looking for anything in particular. TIP: They have an adjacent cafe/restaurant, but it is currently closed. read more

Eclectic place with a good selection of books, although the used selection/vintage is pretty sparse. Nonetheless it's organized well, and the staff is very nice trying to help find either subject matter or specific books per se. The coffee shop and restaurant are nice as well and can certainly add to the experience if one so chooses. Parking can be a pain but if you go up a couple of streets toward CC it's no cost and one can just walk to the venues. There are also various Knick-knacks available as well. While not Litterati's, it is a nice place to partake in due to the variety of experiences right there. read more

Good coffee. Good books. While the book store clearly leaned left wing, they also had some really good books on history, religion, and politics. I got the biography of Mao by his physician, and a few other books for a really good price. The coffee was fantastic, and the ambiance of the place was fantastic. If you have a Service Dog - skip this place. My daughter went in with her hypo-allergenic Service Dog (clearly stated on his vest that he is "Seizure Alert Dog" on a quiet day and the person working there told her she could stay but said he was allergic to dogs and would stay away from her. He then watched her closely as she shopped and made her feel really uncomfortable and had a attitude with her as she purchased a book. I would recommend that they not allow any dogs including Service Dogs, rather than be treat people with disabilities poorly - it would be easier for everyone. read more

I love to give people books as gifts, and they had a great selection of interesting, fun and quirky books (not just novels on the bestseller list) covering a variety of topics along with other items. Need a Bob Ross candle? Yep, they got it. There's also little coffee shop inside, making it a perfect place to hang out for a bit. The book buyer is a complete fucking asshole. I came in to hopefully sell some books. The guy sees me with my bag of books and looks visibly annoyed. "You can set your bag there" he said. Not a hello, a smile, a greeting. I just looked at him for a moment, "excuse me?" "You're here to sell books here aren't you?" "Yeah." "You can set your bag down the book buyer will be right with you." I set my bag down and the book buyer comes and looks annoyed at the bag on the ground, "Okay can you take the books out of the bag please?" The guy literally just said to put the bag down WTF!? Again not a hello or a how are you. Nothing. This guy is a prick and I will never sell books here again. read more

This is a long standing, delightful independent bookstore. You can find exactly what you need here, from crystals, to cards, to board and card games to books, both new and used. Additionally, there is a cafe, and the whole environment is cozy. The employee at the check out desk was also helpful looking up books and cheerful at check out. Highly recommend! read more

Personally I didn't find anything special, just your normal uses bookstore selection with prices a little higher than average. I'd rather hit up the local Goodwill and buy the same book for under $2.
