Our wedding planning was plagued…read morewith constantly changing COVID regulations and I was full of anxiety about how our big day would go. Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!

Sarah and her team are there every step of the way, providing advice, guidance, support, and everything you could possibly need. We are so grateful we could rely on Amy to support our special day. I would turn to Without a Hitch for any major event and know I can trust them to care about the details as much as I do.

Sure enough, my now husband and I, had just cancelled our 02/2021 wedding due to COVID-19 and were feeling lost and overwhelmed. I immediately set up a meeting with Leslie and planned a WHOLE wedding in, I kid you not, FOUR months. Leslie is amazing. We had our wedding on 09.26.21. We have not received photos yet but will be sure to hopefully upload some to this review later on! Leslie helped everywhere from finding rehearsal dinner spot, florist, venue, and of course the actual rehearsal and day of plus much more. We would of never ever found our dream venue location and more without Leslie. I'm telling y'all, she's got CONNECTIONS. I could text or call her anytime with the craziest questions and she wouldn't even flinch. Our final meeting, we walked out of there so confident because we trusted Leslie wholeheartedly. Our day was the most special and LEAST stressful thanks to her. She truly covers all her bases and will take care of things that you never even think to cross your mind. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Leslie and her team IMMEDIATELY after engagement. She will make the planning process fool proof and ENJOYABLE. I jokingly said to my now husband that we will most definitely work with Leslie for our vow renewal ceremony after only being married 3 weeks LOL. Also,, shout out to Janice, Leslie's assistant, for the behind the scenes work the day of! Thank you Leslie @ Planned Perfectly!!!

I had planned almost every detail of the wedding and knew exactly how I envisioned my big day but the problem was I could not oversee the coordination of all the vendors/individuals in the execution of my plans. However, Wendy seemed to take over flawlessly and made sure everything happened EXACTLY as I had hoped. My fiance and I were beyond thankful for her because she really enabled us to enjoy every moment of our big day!! When tiny things went wrong (and of course something will go wrong!) - Wendy always had a creative solution and did her absolute best to take care of it as quickly and quietly as possible. I was especially thankful for Wendy because I my niece (the flowergirl) had an issue come up and was unable to make it to the wedding ceremony with her dad so we were unable to get a complete family photo right after the ceremony. Very near the end of the reception, my niece and her dad finally came and Wendy orchestrated getting EVERYONE together for several complete family photos! We were SOOOOOooo thankful!! Anyway, I highly recommend Wendy and know you will not regret it =)

Working with Wendy is like working with your best friend and your Mother at the same time; You always get the truth wrapped in attention and love. Literally the best combination you can ask for in an event coordinator. Last month I was at a Thanksgiving Dinner done by Wendy (and her assistants) that was phenomenal. The "flow" of the dinner and throughout the entire evening was exceptional. And, it was incredibly MEMORABLE! If you don't have time or energy for all the work that goes into an event, hire a true professional. I have made the mistake in the past of not working with a pro. "It's Your Day" is perfectly named. When you hire Wendy, you expect the best and she outperforms. Get her while her prices are still reasonable!

We had a 20 minute conversation before even booking, where she asked a bunch of questions to get an idea of my plan so far, and even provided some pointers before any money was exchanged or anything was booked. Before the wedding we communicated regularly, and she provided a detailed timeline I could share with my vendors. I strongly recommend doing a site walk through with her as well. It was so worth it. She emailed with my vendors also the week prior to my wedding for last minute planning and coordination, which took so much weight off my shoulders. It was so nice to know she had everything under control, so all I had to worry about on the day of my wedding was getting ready. She is genuinely kind, outgoing, professional, and incredibly organized, and on the day of the wedding interacted with my family and got to know by dad a little bit, which was meaningful to me. You can tell she cares a lot about making your big day run smooth after all your hard work in planning. Highly recommend! Thank you, Mandy!

We wanted our wedding to feel light and effortless, and not put too much pressure on our wedding party or parents to do any heavy lifting. Through her timelines, emails, and phone calls, she helped us keep track of all our vendors and not worry about the little details that always come together day-of. (This is on behalf of members of the retreat planning team of Moishe Kavod House)…read more We had our annual retreat at Friendly Crossways. It was a wonderful place for our community to come together, be out of the city, and relax! Mary Helan was SOO very very helpful in for months in advance of the retreat, during the retreat and post retreat. She was wonderful to work with and extremely patient. The facility was beautiful and allowed for a variety of activities, including a huge outdoor field! Overall, it was a wonderful weekend, and we really enjoyed the space.

I recently attended a wedding at the Friendly Crossways and although I had a great weekend with…read morefamily and friends, I think my perspective is different than most of the previous reviewers. As others mentioned there were no other options close by in the Harvard area to stay, so we decided to stay on site (even though I tried to find alternative arrangements). We arrived on Friday and found our room, which had only twin beds (the same for almost all rooms) but were yet to receive our linens (sheets/towels/pillow cases). We did get those later and as another reviewer mentioned they were very worn. You could also not bring in your own pillows or linens (as I had brought) and the party would be fined if they saw you doing so. The bathroom/showers which I saw were pretty outdated and dingy (except the ones near the front door which appear to be newer). They weren't unclean, but were just in desperate need of some TLC. We were also informed of a strict 5 minute shower policy which there are signs posted for in the bathroom. As most have said, it is very much a DIY venue, even so far as to washing your own dishes throughout the weekend. We did help out with a lot throughout the weekend which was fun helping our friends set up their wedding and be a part of it, but many times we would need to ask Mary or Keith (the owners of the property) for assistance or direction with a given task. Most of the time they were very friendly and helpful, but not all the time. I certainly understand they have a job to do, and tasks the Bride/Groom set up for them, and that helping me wasn't on their priority list, but at least be a little bit pleasant because we are paying you to be there. I would have to agree that the food they provided was excellent, and they were able to meet the needs of many dietary issues in our group. If I was reviewing only their food it would be 5 stars, no question. They used fresh ingredients and were very passionate about what came out of the kitchen. The other issue was the firewood. We were lectured that it was to be a "camp fire" and not a "bonfire". We were only provided with about 6 tiny pieces of wood to keep the fire going for our allotted 2 hours...and NO wood was to be put on after 11pm as the fire had to be completely out by midnight... It was nice to be able to just walk back to my room after the wedding/reception. The ceremony was beautiful set back under the trees on the lawn. If you are looking for a DIY wedding where you have to do just about everything for set up and break down then this is probably your place.
