Their shoe section has decreased over the years, and they've gotten a large quantity of high-end brands like Kate Spade, Trina Turk, and Diane von Furstenberg. Some of the pieces in their store are amazing, some leave me scratching my head wondering who is going to buy a $3,000 fur vest in South Texas. As of now, their pickings are slim, but their Brighton section still is top notch and they have a good selection of moderately priced blouses at Unique's. Currently, they have a huge clearance section with stuff marked between 30% - 75% off. Their shoe section is also dwindling down - I believe they're planning on renovating parts of the store and are getting rid of their old wades. Unique's has some new Kate Spade school supplies for those wanting to start their back-to-school shopping. Overall, Sylvia's & Unique's are still two must-go places to shop in McAllen.

I was a little nervous because I just moved to the valley and don't speak Spanish, but we both made it work and I was thankful for her patience with me. I had several scrubs saved in my Amazon cart and only came to see what my size was, but quickly I realized 1) scrub companies make their colors just slightly different than the next brand and 2) I didn't wear the size I thought I did. I ended up trying on practically the whole store and the employees were so nice. They would even check on me and see if I wanted to try a different size. I also like that they offer a huge variety and petite options since I'm shorter. But the main winner here is the price, wow! I had scrubs saved in my cart that were $37 for the top and $43 for the bottoms. I left here with 2 sets of Grey's Anatomy scrubs that fit me like a glove and they were only $30 a pair, I was SHOCKED! I was expecting to pay at least $60 for a pair. I also got a jacket, it was $47 on Amazon and I spent $30 here. I will definitely be back and I recommend you check them out! Also to comment on someone else's review, there is a sign that they do not offer cash refunds so I assume that means they do offer store credit. Which I find generous, they don't have to allow returns at all.

Coming in the morning is preferable because there are less people. My aunt introduced us to this awesome store. She shared they have great deals on special days. For example, on Earth Day they gift you a free reusable bag. On Easter they have a little treat and even on your birthday you get an e-mail bday wish with additional savings. I found a high quality tiger jacket for cheap for one of my brothers. I also found some nice shirts for a great price. If you sign up to be a member you get exclusive and extra perks.

The focus and attention I received while there made me a very happy customer. I ended up able to find my dress in under 2 hours, the quickest I've ever dress shopped. :D This was in part due to the many various selections made easily avaliable which will work with any budget. I had a very limited budget, yet I had soooo many dresses to choose from. The owner stayed open late the next day so I could finish my payment & pick up my dress. He did so because I was travelling from another city and he was so kind and understanding. This staff and store make it feel like it's all about the Bride. I would definitely highly recommend!
