The interior was bright, clean and smartly decorated in Native American decor. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had our table set up and running in no time. Walking around the hotel, its wide open spaces are easy to get around. There's a good quality restaurant and coffee bar within easy reach. The whole place and experience is impressive. Looking at their prices, they're quite reasonable. If we ever have the opportunity, we'd be happy to stay here.

There are a few hiccups, though, and some of them are head-scratchin'. While every site is FHU, not everyone (us!) connect water/sewer, so proximately of the bathroom facilities is important. You have two options: an actual roadside rest area hundreds of yards away; and, the tribal market hundreds of yards away. But when the market is closed, you only have the other option after hours. Another issue is how unlevel the tarmac site pads are. We did all we could with what we had, and it wasn't enough. Not a deal breaker though. Like their sister property in Airway Heights WA (Northern Quest), there are a lot of rules and restrictions on tribal property. But again, not something that would cause us not to return. I'm no gambler, but the Wifey reported their slots were tighter than a frog's sphincter, yet she's smart enough to bail on losing after $40. It stings to know that's wasted money, but she works hard, and if she gets a little enjoyment out of that, so be it. I must mention, the entire staff of the casino, market, and RV maintenance crew were all happy and friendly, and boy that goes a long way with me...

The hotel is ok...but missing several things I expect from a property billing itself as four stars: -some of the staff was kind, but more than one were short or rude. -hotel does not provide shampoo or conditioner. Unbelievable for a four star property. If you want it, you must go and buy it during regular business hours at the rec center. -New towels are provided only on Tuesdays at the towel exchange. Not very helpful when your stay is Thursday through Sunday. -You are fined if you do not wash the dishes and empty the dishwasher and take out the trash in your own room. this is buried in the checkout instructions (when was the last time you opened a room folio to even read the check out instructions at a hotel). Pretty draconian since it's very non-standard for other properties. See my pictures. This and many other rules are excessive and controlling. Cameras everywhere with staff coming to question your compliance with minutia -Felt on edge all weekend due to staff not picking at us and kids. Not a good place to relax.

The rates we paid were really reasonable, but not certain if these are available to everyone or not. Our family is 4 mini families and we were each able to get our own rooms of various sizes, all with kitchens. This allowed us plenty of privacy and time to decompress while still letting us utilize the amenities together. The rooms were nice and clean, no complaints there, all had balconies. We had a couple barbecues at the community picnic areas, made good use of the recreation center, toyed around with the driving/putting range and dined a couple times at the golf course restaurant. My Dad played the golf course but it seems that the other clientele do not enjoy having people on the course who are not skilled at the game. The rec center has a variety of things to do from net sports, to racquetball, to basketball, pool, hot tub, steam room, etc. We enjoyed the saltwater pool and hot tub, although it is very bizarre to me that you have to walk down a hall dripping wet and freezing to access the hot tub/steam room. The hot tub is big so at least you are unlikely to walk over there and find it too full to get in. We were able to do water aerobics one day, but these really should be offered more frequently. There is a mini golf course on site which does cost an additional fee, there are also bikes available to rent. A trail circles the resort, some of it paved, some of it dirt. I hear you can fish here, but none of us did that. Seems you can not swim in the lake. This is a bit of a drive from most things so if you want to go to restaurants and places like Silverwood, Courdelane, Sandpoint, etc be prepared to spend a lot of time in the car. I would have preferred to stay somewhere that was closer to things to do. There is not much to do here once it gets dark. Some of the staff were not the friendliest.

They do have a designated non smoking section, but I don't notice the difference in the air quality when going from one place to the next. Live, their music and performance venue, is designed pretty well. Great acoustics and room to move around. If you want to sit, that can be more expensive, but I like to move when I go to concerts so I am happy with the layout. Great food venue offerings with diverse selection, and no bad executed attempts at being snooty that no one really wants anyway. And prices are very reasonable. It's like they realize they are making good money on the casino floor so they don't also need to gouge you with excessive pricing on food and drinks. Like they actually want you to come here. Speaking of the floor, it is very easy to navigate here between the machines and tables, even if you have mobility issues. Overall, I just feel like a lot of thought went in to how people move around and what makes for a good local casino experience. It's like they looked at everything other places are doing wrong and said "Well, people don't like that, let's not do that." I will say I have not stayed in the hotel part of the property yet. I am willing to bet they put the same amount of care and detail into the rooms as they have the rest of the place. At any rate, this is solid entertainment that is worth the extra drive. We drove from Spokane National Airport to Glacier National Park and this was a great halfway point in Bonner's Ferry Idaho. For the past three years, the B&B has been a family-owner business spanning over 3 generations. All the family members we interacted with are extremely friendly and made you feel at home. We were greeted by Jerry and Frank (the first gen of the bunch) at check-in. Jerry walked us through the property and told us more about the history of the B&B. We were also greeted with the most delicious cookies which was great after a long drive. Pool is closed sometime during September but the hot tub is open year round. Throughout the hallways and rooms, you'll see trinkets and photos of remains from the school which is really neat. The second floor used to have 2 large classrooms which have been converted to 6 rooms, each with their own bathroom suite. We stayed in room #7 which was the 'french theme' but Jerry told us they are converting to a 'geography' theme by next spring. The room has very high ceilings and there's a TV with Netflix available. Breakfast started at 8:30AM and you're seating based on your room number in pairs. We were served by the 2nd and 3rd get family members with coffee, orange juice and a delicious breakfast of egg quiche, fruit, and a homemade cinnamon roll. It was delicious! Northside B&B is also very conveniently located to downtown Bonner's Ferry - only about a 10 minute walk. We made our way down there to walk through the street before taking the second half of our drive. Overall it was such a lovely stay!

The front desk staff was easy to reach by phone when making reservation. We even had to call to change it because of my illness, and they made it easy-peasy. The view is stunning, with the river and the mountains. The room itself was impeccably clean and impressive. Very up to date. Each room has a small patio with a very nice table and chairs in which to sip on a beverage and chill. They have a lovely dining room with floor to ceiling windows in which to enjoy two selections for for the full-service breakfast. You also have a choice of $3 off any additional dish on the breakfast menu. We also dined outside on the patio along the river for dinner one evening with our family, who lives in the area there. The service with both our breakfast and dinner meals was excellent. Food was very good too. There is a bar on-premise in the restaurant with a nice selection of cocktails, beer and wine. The lobby of the hotel has a large rustic fireplace with a very comfortable and beautiful seating area in which to relax if you choose. There is an underpass from the parking lot to the cute historic downtown area that we took advantage of for shopping, browsing, strolling and drinks.
