For the start we took selection of Tuscan meats which was deep in flavor, well cured and different textures of meat. Il Vezzo as many Florence restaurants offer famous Steak a la Florentina which was undoubtedly one of the best steaks we have ever had. It has its distinctive flavor thanks to the cows being pastured in that specific area. One steak should serve two people as a main dish of the dinner. We laso tried their artichoke witch chickpeas an potato terrine which was fantastic. I liked the way of serving which was a traditional dish constructed in the modern way. The two gentlemen working were very nice but they were clearly busy because they could hardly check in on us. We decided to try the seafood tasting menu which included 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, 1 main course, 1 dessert of your choice, and coffee and water. Price was set at 70 euros/person (minimum of 2 orders). They also had a non-seafood option for 60 euros (I think), but we weren't as interested in that tasting menu since it included duck, liver, and veal. Out of our seafood tasting menu, our favorites were the shrimp and white bean appetizer, the seafood risotto (so good!), and the sea bass with grilled vegetables. Desserts were also decadent and beautifully presented, paired perfectly with our cappuccinos. The staff also made a spaghetti with bolognese for our kids since that's all the wanted to eat in Italy. My husband went for the cacio e pepe, which was perfectly creamy and packed with just the right amount of peppery kick - my husband sampled this same dish at several restaurants, and this was in his top two during our stays in visits to Venice, Florence, and Rome.
