I would like to thank Kalos Service for their expertise and professionalism. My A/C unit went on the blinks a couple of years ago. I had several bids at this point and Kalos was the last company that I wanted to get a bid before making my decision. I was so impress with their knowledge and kindness. They didn't just wanted a sale they wanted to make sure it was done right. At this time my family had been without a/c for 4 days in mid July's Florida hot weather. The sales person was not pushy but explain everything in details as to what they would do. I decided to go with Kalos because I felt the sales person did an awesome job in his presentation and he had a genuine concern for my family. Inside my house felt like a sauna. Kalos right away ordered my a/c unit and finally the day of installation. They arrived with about 4 people and before I know it they had around 10 guys working on the a/c installation. I was so amaze how respectful and concern they had for my family during the installation process. We also had some framing issues where the furnace and hot water tank was located. They went ahead and reinforce and fix all the issues with the framing. These guys went over and above what they were required to do. Even though they were sweating like bullets. TRULY FIVE STARS!!!!! DEPENDABLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, TRULY 24 HOURS (came at 9:30p.m. on a Saturday night) REASONABLE PRICE, New to this home stuff, I was in the dark on repair people. I came home, the AC had shut off, I had no choice. On a Saturday night at about 8:30 p.m., I am calling an HVAC place. Oh, and did I mention I have been in Florida less than a month. Way out of my depth. The gentleman showed up (I forgot his name, Bert maybe) was very professional and extremely helpful. I have a geo thermal air conditioner, yeh, I didn't know the name of it either, not at all a typical AC, but KALOS knew what they were doing. The gentleman helped me out with all my questions, spoke in easy to understand language (not technical) got the AC running, explanined both the name and type of AC system for me. Gave me good information for future use, and so I won't have this problem again, or if I do, I can fix it myself. He was getting ready to leave, when I happened to remember and ask him about a noise the AC makes when it shuts off. He took the time to go up in the attic and fix the problem. Even checking the system to make sure it was fixed. This was not even the reason he was called out, but no extra charge, Yay! Very helpful and kmowledgeable. I was referred to Kalos by my neighbor. He had used them and was happy with their service, compared to several others he had used. I called Kalos because my A/C had quit cooling on a Friday afternoon and this was not the first time. I was concerned it may take all weekend to get a repair, by anyone. I was surprised they came out in a couple of hours and had me cooling again. My wife and dogs were happy once more. Unfortunately, my problem was not going to go away because I had 2 small Freon leaks on the inside unit. I had planned to replace it in January, but because of the current situation, I decided to replace it a month earlier. Both the service techs and the installers of my new unit explained everything to my satisfaction. They installed my new Carrier in one day including rebuilding the intake duct below the air handler. It looked better than the original installation when the house was built, which was a Carrier as well. I can say for sure, their service was fast, their employees were all very professional, and when I paid them for the new installation the price was exactly what they had told me it would be. I have had their bi-annual maintenance plan on both of my units for the past few years. I always feel they are professional and honest, but not pushy or sales-pitchy in any way. If I ask them about what they are doing or why, they always are eager to share and teach the process. When I have had issues with the system, they are always quick to help and achieve a successful diagnosis in a quick time. They don't nickel and dime you for each individual thing. I've always said people should be paid for a skillset you don't have and that it should be at a fair price for their expertise. Many companies take that as, "we know what you don't, so we can charge astronomical rates or trick you into buying when you don't need to." That is the opposite of this company. Here's the story in short -- our air conditioning went out, had an electrical problem, and it was in the middle of summer. I first called our normal service company, Del-Air, and I was told that no one was available and that the earliest they could even send someone out was 2:00pm the next day, this while I even had a "Gold" level routine service contract with them!! Talk about not caring about customers. I then called two other air conditioning companies, got voicemails, left messages, and NEVER got return calls, ever. Finally, I got smart and found Kalos. We have used Kalos for several years now and each time the service is exceptional. From the beginning, we have trusted their pricing and their recommendations for tune ups and repairs. This past week, our air downstairs/thermostat had just shut down. We didn't have to pay for the service call b/c we had signed up and paid for a gold level service plan (which has been totally worth the $), and it as it turned out, there were just some loose wires that needed to be tightened. Tyler called ahead, was courteous, and fixed the problem, and there was no charge at all. We recommend Kalos to everyone we know. We arrived at our house to find the temp had climbed to 85 and the A/C unit not functioning. Kalos answered our call right away and sent Tyler over to help within 2 hours. He did not have the replacement part he needed, so he called another tech, Jesse, who had the part and he came right over. Both of them were thorough, knowledgeable, efficient and took the time to explain the problem. We asked whether they could install a Nest learning thermostat for us and Jesse installed it without hesitation and made sure we were fully set up to manage the temp via the Nest app. Couldn't have asked for more knowledgeable and thorough guys. I have to say that I have used several AC companies from our area and this one was by far the best. Not only are their prices great but the tech that came out on my weekend call was very knowledgeable and friendly. I tried calling at least 5 other companies before finding out about Kalo's Services and I'm very happy they actually agreed to come out. I will never have to call anyone else again. I am totally satisfied with this company. They also offer AC filters at their cost which is amazing. I used to purchase mine at the Dollar Store, I will now be getting them directly from Kalo's. I cannot say enough about how great Kalos is. They cleaned my AC and it was very thorough. They didn't try to upsell me anything and my AC unit has never been this well cleaned. I used their dryer vent cleaning service and was glad I did. I used another service for several years and apparently they weren't cleaning all the way to the roof. I kept getting a "check filter" message on my dryer and even bought a new dryer. Apparently the vent was 70% clogged at the roof end. Since they cleaned it I have not gotten a single "check filter" message. The technicians are obviously very well trained and are very professional. Since 2012 I've used their services for a/c service & repair, duct work upgrades, thermostat issues, dryer vent cleaning, etc and by far they've been the most professional & courteous service provider I've ever dealt with. Their work is unparalleled in quality & efficiency. Always quick to respond, on time and never have they had to return because they didn't get it right the first time. These guys are the best!!!! I am a property Manager and have dealt with many companies in the past. Was having issues with pool heater for a pool in Kissimmee and my first 4 calls where never returned and a few missed appointments from other companies. Kalos is our AC provider. We needed service on our energy recovery ventilator. Very few people seem to know anything about it. Kalos sent out Adriel and he was fantastic. What a gem! He knew what he was doing and was very conscientious -and really nice guy. I asked him how he knew about ERV's. He said he had run into a couple of them so he decided to learn more.
