Unfortunately, I was not home when they came the next day. The Owner did NOT Honor his word and basically, + little more, just gave my lawn a mow for $210.00!!!. I wish i had been smart enough at the time to ask for a Quote/Statement of Work in Written - I am sure someone eventually will take him to Sm. Claims Court! Now, I did honor MY word, and mailed him a check after he invoiced me like THREE months after his lack of service ( I had thought, he took noticed I was a single women and heard that I mentioned I am on a very tight budget, i had a student willing to mow for min. wage, and he was doing an honorable deed by mowing my lawn at NO CHARGE... so i had never questioned the lack of invoice ), he Then waited "SIX MONTHS " to Cash this check; which to my surprise was very unexpected... when i have bills to pay/living paycheck to paycheck! With the check i had mailed i had enclosed a letter of disappointment that the work he offered was NOT done and couldn't understand how he would want his companies name associated with this kind of service... I had also called prior to sending payment, in which he did NOT return.... he never rectified the bad/poor service. I did not call or write more than once... I had just Honored MY own word, and agreed to send payment without his questioning... I was hoping a respectable company would FIX their own ERROR (lack of yard service); which he did not. I have asked that they notify me in advance ( even if it's a few minutes) so I can remove the dog run and lead as well as a a few other things on the lawn. They send people with the big mowers and mow it down to a centimeter and then make a pile of grass clippings in the corner of the yard. They still haven't removed the grass clippings despite requesting them to do this. They run over everything in the yard including my dog run and gutter extensions.
