I had Gonzalez Landscaping come out to remove a huge tree, over-hanging into my yard, from my neighbors property. The experience was nothing short of phenomenal! The owner responded to my request for a quote within minutes of me posting on Yelp. After a brief conversation on the phone, he showed up at the end of that day to give us a quote. He was very down to earth, honest and to the point. He didn't waste our time with a bunch of BS about why he had to charge us so much damn money. The quote was very reasonable! The entire crew showed up 6 days later, all with smiles on their faces. GREAT PEOPLE! And I don't say this lightly as I dislike most humans! They were in and out in less than 2 hours. They were amazingly confident in taking down the large tree and with such care as to avoid damaging our smaller tree and fence, below it, as much as possible. They were very patient with me with all of my requests and numerous questions. It was obvious that I found the right people for the job. My only complaint was that I couldn't give each of them a huge hug for a job so well done (due to the coronavirus). I cannot say enough about them! At first I as really happy and ended up referring these guys to my friends and giving them 5 stars. BUT Changing my review - they went downhill fast. The trees they planted were not the right species and they were planted wrong according to one of their crew members - the owner of company was going to charge me to re-do the work and at full price! The wife/owner was nice enough to take out the trees which were DEAD by July and the husband/owner never contacted me again. I treat my contractors very well and I was insulted after $ tips, great referrals, and great reviews that I made sure I provided, Frider (company owner) didn't come through for me. You knew we wanted evergreens and your only knowledgeable crew member who's worked in plant husbandry told your wife and me that the planting was not done right. On the coldest day ever I called Gonzalez Landscaping to plow my parents driveway. I really needed them to come because the driveway had turned to ice and my mom had a doctors appointment the next morning. When I told him that he came that same night to plow and clear the area to make sure my mom could get to her appointment in the morning. They did an amazing job considering that they were clearing ice rather than snow!! I will definitely use them again and refer to family and friends! read more

You were charging me $60, not $40-$50... Disappointed... after a terrific initial yard clean up last month, the following 2 maintenance visits were very disappointing... both times they mowed only 3 sides of the yard (left the small 4th side because it was mainly ferns and not grass). Said they could cut that and other weeds, but would cost extra. They spent 10-13 minutes each time, and the price for what they did was not worth it.
