Over the past year I had gotten lax about regularly doing stretches and exercises, so the pain returned and was being stubborn despite stretching/exercising. So I needed to fine-tune my exercise routine. I reached out to Fitness Quest via their website to set up a consultation, but never got a response. I called the phone number for the Punta Gorda clinic and was informed that I'd first need to have my physician fax them a prescription for PT. I did so, and informed Fitness Quest (again via their website). Again no response, so I called the Punta Gorda clinic and asked if they'd received my fax. It turns out they did, but since I wasn't in their system they had discarded it. Fortunately it was still in their trash can, so they retrieved it and got me into their system and set up an appointment. The next day I had a very informative and productive consultation with Jason. I'd give them 5 stars if not for the initial communication difficulties, which might reflect some kind of disconnect between the "central office" and the various local clinics.

I find Jason and his staff friendly, knowledgeable and I really liked their approach combining stretching and strengthen exercises to get the range of motion back in my knee. At no point in my treatment did I ever feel it was too aggressive, which I cannot say about other PT organizations. I was extremely happy with Fitness Quest, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They bent over backwards to help me satisfy the demands of my health insurance company, working tirelessly to get approvals, scheduling my 12 required treatments in a compressed time frame and relieving associated muscle pains caused by spinal stenosis. While I hope I don't need more PT after back surgery, I would go back to Fyzical in Punta Gorda in a heartbeat! They are simply outstanding!

He is a…read morevery genuinely caring, super insightful, highly intelligent practitioner who ACTUALLY DOES MEDICINE- a specialty that is sadly becoming obsolete. I had some rotator tears & disc ruptures from an accident & went to multiple practitioners for a year, not only with no improvement, but at times, made worse from improper adjustments and generic treatments where I was treated like a part on an assembly line. I am extremely blessed to have found Dr. Burns. First- he was the ONLY practitioner who meticulously examined me, took notes and measured my range of motion. NO OTHER PLACE EVER DID THIS. How can your improvement be measured without an assessment and benchmark? I began to feel improvements within the first 3 sessions and have measurable gains with increased range of motion and decreased pain by the 6th or 7th session compared to about 30 with all other so-called specialists. Dr. Burns is a rare find. He implements multiple customized healing practices like needling, manual traction, cupping, massage, EStim (his was better than anywhere else), laser (again his was better than anywhere else), massage, stretching, strengthening. This man has it down. I guarantee you he will improve you in a legitimate amount of time. I can't say enough about this man. I suffered for 1 year driving all over Florida where my results were excessive losses of time and fuel, and where my pain remained. After I'd leave Dr. Burns's sessions, I'd feel relief, better range of motion, and tangible strength gains. I also did a sports massage with him- again, which was customized. I went to regain mobility that had been lost to me for a decade. All of the staff is amazing. Amber coordinates your appointments and payments. She is very knowledgeable about practice and administrative policies. The therapists were all compassionate, caring, helpful. They showed me different ways of working different areas of my body. If it is more comfortable to sit, stand or lie down they showed you a way to accomplish the goal. If I had difficulty with my home exercises they encouraged me without chastising me if I had difficulty with anything in particular. I always looked forward to coming to therapy because I knew that whatever they did they were going to make me feel better.

They wanted a new Dr. prescription because it was 31 days since my last appointment. During that 30 days they could not schedule any time for me over a week. Daniel as the clinic manager and therapist seemed fine, but my care was routine and my progress slowed compared to the PT I got in SoCal. They charge more for an evaluation, a 90 second process. So be careful, I found the care and business practices at this Cora location to be sub-standard.
