Front and back with free to play arcade games means you can make a bit of time of it, hit the nearby brunch then wander down either memory or fandom lanes. A good showing here and well curated that shows they get it, without seeming like they're "too" interested in the odd hyper price hike cash grab in the space in some of the fandom frenzy areas. Pleasant surprise for a very simple expectation on the outside.

The store is split into two rooms: the…read morefront room is dedicated to toys and collectibles, while the back room is packed with comics. They have a huge selection of action figures, statues, used video games, retro video games, and, of course, comics. The comic room has a ton of back issues, organized primarily by publisher--Marvel, DC, and independent. There are also several random long boxes without labels, along with a table containing several boxes labeled "Keys." There were also 3-4 short boxes of "key issues" scattered around the checkout counter. Fair warning: these boxes aren't particularly organized. Saying they're "loosely alphabetized" would probably be giving them too much credit. That said, if you enjoy digging through boxes looking for hidden gems, this can be a fun place to treasure hunt--as long as you have the time and patience. I'm a Spawn collector, and the designated Spawn section only had a handful of issues. However, I ended up finding several more Spawn issues scattered throughout the "Key" boxes on the table in the back. I even found more in the "Key" boxes at the checkout counter. I think consolidating all of these boxes into one organized area would make the shopping experience much better. It's fun finding unexpected issues, but when you're specifically hunting for something, it can be frustrating when the boxes aren't organized or alphabetized. As for pricing, the comics are generally priced fairly. Some of the variants and key issues are priced a bit on the high side, though, so it's worth knowing your values before making a purchase. The back room also has a free-to-play arcade cabinet, which is a nice bonus and adds to the retro vibe. The staff was nice and very helpful, which made the visit even better. Overall, this is a great spot for collectors who enjoy the treasure-hunt experience. If you have some time to spend digging through boxes, you never know what you might uncover. Just be prepared to do some serious hunting! ‍

Everything is arranged nicely (marvel, DC and Indy). Was surprised they still had certain issues on the shelf still. There are some older books behind the counter and back issues in the back back but not taken care of too well. So if that's what you're looking for it's your LCS.

It's a roomy store, compared to a lot of comic shops, with a lot of recent series, if not the most…read morerecent issues of those series. Their margins must be tight, as they open at 10 AM on Wednesday, and some titles are sold out by 11:30. So, they appear to be under ordering, so as not to have to potentially sit on stock. Not too long ago, they changed their policy where they wouldn't be ordering variant covers unless you specifically pre-ordered them. Sure, that's their prerogative, but many variants are open-order, not requiring any minimums on the part of the retailer, so it just seems...odd. The service...This is my biggest gripe. Often, I've gone into the store to find the cashier talking to a friend/acquaintance. A customer might want assistance, and the cashier is visibly annoyed that he has to stop his conversation to provide customer service. Then, once the customer checked out and left, the cashier would turn to his friend and say something like "That's the guy I was telling you about", with a laugh. So, they seem to joke about their customers - the people keeping them in business - and it just feels unprofessional. I've worked retail, so I get it, but those aren't conversations to gold loudly, as other customers are in the store. I mean, what are they saying about ME when I leave? This has happened more than once, while some of the other loud topics of discussion aren't always appropriate for "polite company". The most friendly employee, sadly, passed away recently, so we're left with the ones talking behind our backs.

So, when you feel the need to feed your inner superhero head on over to Fantom Comics. A well organized oasis for comic books, mysteries, children's books, toys, and Japanese anime characters. I love the way the space is designed so you can sit and look at the books, before you buy them. I thought prices were reasonable and the quality of the comic books was great! Like brand new first editions, they were spotless. Service was excellent. The gentleman at the counter was so helpful and friendly. And I do appreciate that they have a fairly nice kids section. But their selection of books runs sparse and they have barely any other products. It's like they dabble in collectible card games without having anything substantial. PRODUCT: Really very little. Despite a huge sign proclaiming they sell Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokemon, they did not have anything substantial to offer and from the look of their old product, they don't carry much at all. In terms of comics, it's not much at all. They have far more graphic novels. I'm not sure if this place wants to be a book store more than a comic book store. SERVICE: Okay. Nothing spectacular. Didn't feel like I was valued or helped much. The stairway leading up to it was filthy. COST: Average. Not inflated but not inexpensive either. No real bargains.

The service was great and the selection was well above average. The store is laid out in a very easy to manage way, and the selection of products is pretty terrific. You would be hard pressed to find a more complete comic and gaming store in the area. SELECTION: like I said before they have a great selection of stuff. It is divided into two sections so it's easy to find what you need. Comic books are very well laid out with a easy to find rack of new comics as well as bins of old comics. I really appreciated the family friendly area too. for the card section, they have both training cards and collectible card games. They carry things like Pokémon, Magic the Gathering , Lorcana, and Star Wars unlimited. But they have much more than just that. SERVICE: service was great! Overall, they are very helpful and it is well staffed. It was a little disorganized near the register, but can't really complain because of the great selection and the friendly attitude. COST: the value for what you get is right on the Mark. It is a place with reasonable prices and they stick relatively close to MSRP. The exceptions being what you would find at any other card shop. Right now Pokémon cards are through the roof, but at least here they are reasonable.
