What a great time it has been! We have two young dogs that needed a little extra training. We had been thinking about doing the training for a bit before deciding to move forward with it. Some of our reservations on doing the training were that we didn't know their experience with terriers and their temperaments, and we didn't know how often they dealt with small breeds. Most of their online presence showed a lot of larger breeds. We met with staff and went back and forth on moving forward with the camp. What ultimately made our decision were a couple of things. We use Jet Sets for boarding, and fully trust their staff, and we ended up seeing a small breed going through their training in one of their online posts. These things helped make our decision for us, and we're so glad that we did it! For all of you small breed owners, yes, they do work with small breeds! Our trainer Macayla has checked in with us frequently to see how things are going, answering questions and has provided several post training sessions to ensure we are comfortable and continuing his training. He saw our toddler as a fellow pup, and before his camp at Unleash Fido we were dealing with constant nipping, tearing clothes, chasing, jumping, chewing, difficulty house training, and general lawlessness. Then he went to Puppy Camp at Unleash Fido and worked with Brittni. He came home a truly different and wonderful dog. he was in control of his body and his actions. He obeyed commands and was house trained. Best of all, though, we saw his true personality emerge from underneath the chaos - we got to make friends with the sweet, personable, loyal dog he is. We are grateful for Brittni and Unleash Fido for giving us the dog we always wanted. Teddy is much happier now, and so are we.

Overall I was pleased - would give the cut itself a 4/5 (a bit shorter than we'd like, but I did approve it ahead of time - they did not have the blade available for the type of cut my dog typically gets). However, beyond disappointed with the "luxury" package upgrade. I paid nearly $40 for better shampoo, teeth brushing, breath freshener, face brightening wash, pad / nose butter, "premium" cologne and a bandanna (and possibly more, I can't remember all that was included). I think none of this was done. My dog didn't even smell good coming out (granted, she smelled pretty bad going in, so it was an improvement don't get me wrong, but there was certainly no "premium cologne" scent going on). No bandanna or bow even. Pretty bummed about this - I had to ask if her teeth were done and the response was that the groomer did her best. Now I get it - my dog can be a royal pain when it comes to grooming, but I had even asked ahead of time if they couldn't perform all the services if we would be refunded and I was told that would happen. Feeling pretty ripped off and upset at the moment. May be back for a regular bath and cut, but I recommend skipping the "upgrades" since I didn't get anything for it.

I am sharing my experience so other pet owners can make an informed decision…read more I boarded my two dogs here for one week. Both were healthy before boarding and had recently been seen by my veterinarian. During the stay, my 12-year-old German Shepherd, Mojo, became critically ill and collapsed. At the emergency vet, he had a 106°F fever, dehydration and serious gastrointestinal and organ abnormalities. He died that day. My other dog, Rigby, came home from the same boarding stay and developed a 103°F fever, vomiting and diarrhea. Despite veterinary care, his health declined rapidly and he was euthanized approximately three days later. I repeatedly requested records showing when my dogs we given water and administered their medications, as well as an incident report. I have not received the documentation I requested, despite being told that protocols were followed. I also saw an approximately five-week-old wolf-dog puppy at the facility that I was told had been confiscated from a backyard breeding situation. I asked about its veterinary care and vaccination status but did not receive answers. This concerned me because customers are required to provide vaccination records for their own dogs. My veterinarian later explained that without specific PCR testing, infectious causes could not be ruled out. I am not claiming to know exactly what caused my dogs' illnesses. What I know is that both dogs became critically ill during or immediately after the same boarding stay and both died within days. We requested MANY times to alert clients about our dogs' symptoms and deaths. To our knowledge they never let anyone know. I know that I would want to know. Losing Mojo and Rigby was devastating. I believe pet owners deserve documentation, transparency and answers when something this serious happens. I would want another pet owner to know about my experience before deciding where to leave their animals.

You can rest easy and have peace of mind that your pup will receive the best of care should a vet be required during their stay. That assurance makes taking vacations so much more enjoyable. Don't believe me? Just experience it for yourselves! The proof is in your fur baby's happy smiling face when you pick them up. He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle!
