Our first time using PetSmart for grooming - gave it a shot since the Petco in Beaches went out of business recently. Overall I was pleased - would give the cut itself a 4/5 (a bit shorter than we'd like, but I did approve it ahead of time - they did not have the blade available for the type of cut my dog typically gets). However, beyond disappointed with the "luxury" package upgrade. I paid nearly $40 for better shampoo, teeth brushing, breath freshener, face brightening wash, pad / nose butter, "premium" cologne and a bandanna (and possibly more, I can't remember all that was included). I think none of this was done. My dog didn't even smell good coming out (granted, she smelled pretty bad going in, so it was an improvement don't get me wrong, but there was certainly no "premium cologne" scent going on). No bandanna or bow even. Pretty bummed about this - I had to ask if her teeth were done and the response was that the groomer did her best. Now I get it - my dog can be a royal pain when it comes to grooming, but I had even asked ahead of time if they couldn't perform all the services if we would be refunded and I was told that would happen. Feeling pretty ripped off and upset at the moment. May be back for a regular bath and cut, but I recommend skipping the "upgrades" since I didn't get anything for it. read more

I came in to see if they had any kittens in their adoption center- my sole reason for walking through the door. But- it was a bust. No cats at all in the windows. Boo. I did enjoy perusing the cat section and was intrigued by a classy looking cat tree- I know, what? But seriously, it was cute and stylish. But I don't need a cat tree at this time. I'll keep in mind for the future though. I also took my time admiring the hamsters and gerbils. The fish department was bursting with colorful fishies. I also had the sweetest huskie come over to be curious of me when I walked through the door- a handsome boy! Even though I left empty-handed, it was still an enjoyable stroll through the store. read more

I took my dog to get a nail trim and we had Tenley. She did amazing with her and really helped ease her nerves. I definitely recommend her if you are getting a dog's nails trimmed!! read more

I took my newly adopted puppy Simba in for a nail trim this evening to Petsmart at Jax Beach. He is 6 months old and was adopted two months ago from the shelter and I have only had him for one week. His first reaction was to growl at the staff because he was scared as this was his first time at the groomers. Justin took such good care of Simba. He even picked him up to take him in the back so he wouldn't be as scared. When I came back ten minutes later Justin informed me that Simba did wonderfully. I am so relieved as I do not want to trim my dog's nails :-) Simba and I will absolutely be going back to PetSmart for our grooming needs! We are also going to be signing up for puppy training classes very soon. read more

I placed an order with PetSmart, that was to be delivered through door dash, which I paid for with door dash. They said the order was placed for delivery and gave a link to follow, then they cancelled the delivery, and said to call Pet Smart, which I did, spoke with Eric the manager, he was a great help and said to call Door Dash, I called Door Dash and they were not helpful with the cancellation, the said they could not tell me why it was canceled, that it's private. They could not refund me the money that went through them and had to call PetSmart which I already did. I called PetSmart back and talked to Eric the manager and he made good on the order, he delivered it himself. So much appreciation for him and PetSmart. Beware of Door Dash... read more

This is a nice, average Petsmart. A bit smaller in scale, but compared to the compact Petsmart in Gainesville it has a wide stock. The employees answered all the questions as best they could. With the usual good petsmart sales, what is not to love? read more

I recently had my dog groomed with the grooming dept. I have never had a problem with this area and actually use them all the time with no problem. Tinley, Kate, Emma all great with our fur baby. The encounter with Alaska this past weekend needs to be addressed. When my husband comes home and really has concern about leaving our fur baby says a lot because he never does this! I went down there probably a hour to hour and a half into the appt and Alaska proceeded to be just rude when was not necessary and then maybe started on him 30 min after I arrived. We do not recommend her at all because her actions were not deemed necessary and when she began grooming our pup I just did not want her grooming our dog and demanded she stop immediately because if someone is going to be that rude and obnoxious then would you really want them working on your fur baby ? Not a good experience with this groomer at all! read more

I always buy my two dogs food here. Petsmart has been great up until my experience today. I wanted hair clippers which say are in stock but Ryan the new assistant manager says only the 13 piece is (I wanted 12) I said that's really sucks because it's $69 in store and $34 online. Ryan tells me he can't control anything online and that's how every place is, it's always cheaper online, he isn't a warehouse worker and i can order from chewy or somewhere else if want a good price. Ryan is a terrible manager I don't want to shop here anymore. Associate was very apologetic but who wants to shop where a manager is rude... not me. read more

I love supporting local businesses, but you've got to watch the prices at all the PetSmart locations. Every time I visit a PetSmart store when I get to the cash register, my items ring up higher than the shelf price. Buyer beware!!! And the worst part is when you bring the error to their attention, they don't fix it in the system. They correct your order and give you the correct prices, but the next shopper will pay the incorrect price bc employees don't do anything to correct the price in the system. Buyer beware!! read more

This is my favorite petstore by far. I have 7 cats and 5 dogs as well as fish, a hamster and a frog so I come here often. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. When I got my hamster the employees helped me find the one with the best personality. He has never had any medical issues or bitten anyone so I'm glad I bought him here! I always look at the reptiles, fish and small animals and they all look well taken care of and healthy. That's something I never see at other pet stores! There is a live lobster tank where I work so I always take in water to be tested. Overall great place to buy food/toys/supplements etc for any animal. read more

I usually bring my pups to the town center location for grooming but decided to try the new one at the beaches because we haven't always been pleased with the service. Firstly, the grooming salon is in the FRONT of the store which is extremely convenient when you have two very excited pups. The groomers were so nice. I dropped the dogs off at 10. They already had the information printed when I arrived. By 11:30, both dogs were ready! Fast, courteous, and sweet to my pups. We will be going here from now on! read more

We had our three small dogs groomed today and we couldn't be happier with the care they received. I explained what I wanted and showed pictures and got exactly what I wanted for the haircuts. My 6 month old Welch Pembroke Corgi has obedience classes at this PetSmart. In the past I went to the one at 356 Monument Rd. I used the vet at that office also. The veterinarian and staff at the Jax Beach office have extremely poor communication skills and their records look like they are just trying to sell services and not provide healthcare. My dog had lab studies that were not normal and I got no information/diagnosis on what the differential diagnosis could be... I am never going back to this vet office!!! read more

I signed up Luna for the puppy training class since she was just under 5 months old. I'll be the first to admit, this place was not my first choice. Not for any reason other than I thought maybe a personal pet trainer or one of those obedience schools would be able to do a better job. Unfortunately, the classes I wanted to enroll in were already booked out several months or they wanted me to leave Luna with them for a month to train. I bit the bullet thinking that if things did not work out, the price would be a drop in the bucket compared to what we would have to spend elsewhere. Turns out, this class was exactly what I wanted. A class to teach Luna and a class to teach me how to work with Luna. The class lessons must be worked on between sessions so this is a class that that you get out of what you put into it. Bill taught the classes at the beach and took the time to work with each dog and owner as a group and individually. He answered any questions and concerns, and offered suggestions when we had trouble. Bill also worked around my schedule when I had an emergency and couldn't make the scheduled class. We still need to reinforce the commands learned from the class and once I feel comfortable that Luna understands them, we'll definitely sign up for the intermediate training. read more
