What a great time it has been! We have two young dogs that needed a little extra training. We had been thinking about doing the training for a bit before deciding to move forward with it. Some of our reservations on doing the training were that we didn't know their experience with terriers and their temperaments, and we didn't know how often they dealt with small breeds. Most of their online presence showed a lot of larger breeds. We met with staff and went back and forth on moving forward with the camp. What ultimately made our decision were a couple of things. We use Jet Sets for boarding, and fully trust their staff, and we ended up seeing a small breed going through their training in one of their online posts. These things helped make our decision for us, and we're so glad that we did it! For all of you small breed owners, yes, they do work with small breeds! We were recommend Unleash Fido by several people. We scheduled an hour long consultation with Travis who ended up giving us 90 minutes of his time to learn about Lily and discuss their program. Lily had several issues, such as pulling on the leash, lunging at cars, barking at people + other dogs and going absolutely crazy when Amazon/UPS was delivering a package. Ultimately, we booked Lily into their month-long Obedience Training Camp. After receiving weekly report cards that contained photos, videos and a brief update on how the last week was, we were finally ready to pick-up Lily. Our first time picking her up was also our first training with her. We worked on establishing place, having her heel while walking, and working on other things around distractions. Within the first 24 hours back at home, our investment in this training payed dividends. She's obedient on walks, doesn't mind others passing by, comes to us on call, goes to place when told and so much more. I wasn't sure how he would do woth other animals but Devon immediately assured me that they would be able to handle Kapano in their house for his boarding! He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle!
