He came to my house, purchased a new approximately $50 handle/lockset, and charged me $150 total for the part, pickup and installation. Rather than replacing the entire existing handle, he told me parts from the new unit could be used while keeping my existing handle. Six days later, the door handle physically came off the door. I contacted Tony immediately and asked him to come back and correct the repair. I was not asking for additional work for free--I was asking him to stand behind a repair that had failed less than a week after he performed it. He refused to return without charging me again. What really bothered me was his response when I questioned why I should have to pay another labor charge. He texted me: "I'm like Evel Knievel, I get paid for the attempt." He then followed that with: "I will not return for free. Steal of a deal when you get a $50 part picked up and delivered and installed for a grand total of $150." Those are his words, not mine. He set the $150 price. I agreed to it and paid him in full. I never asked him for a discount or a "steal of a deal." I simply expected that when I paid a professional to repair a door, the repair would last longer than six days--and that if it didn't, the person who performed the work would come back and address it. Maybe shame on me for not asking beforehand, "What happens if your repair breaks six days later? Do you stand behind your work?" I assumed that was understood when hiring a local small business. What makes this even more disappointing is that while he was at my house, we discussed approximately seven additional projects I wanted completed, representing at least another $500 in work. I fully intended to hire him for those projects. After seeing how this situation was handled, I will obviously be taking that work elsewhere. I can only review my own experience: I paid $150 for the repair, the handle came off six days later, and he explicitly refused to return without another charge. Future customers can decide for themselves whether "I get paid for the attempt" is the level of warranty and customer service they expect from someone working on their home.

When the workers showed up to start the job, I found out that Burch sub-contracts his gutter business to Adan's seamless gutters. And in my opinion Adan's did a very poor job installing the gutters. After the installation, we have had them out to our home four times to fix the gutters. (crooked downspout and a leak). And it still is leaking. Low quality workmanship. We also had to purchase our own extensions to the downspouts because they did not leave extensions for all the downspouts.

The original installation resulted in some water damage to the ceiling of the bathrooms. The crew did a great job installing, fixing them to vent outdoors, and repairing the ceiling.
