The salesmen that sold me my Honda Passport at Dow Honda lied to me. I received my new Honda Passport damaged. Took over a week to repair at there location. Had to take time off work and spend my gas money to fix there problem. I also bought extended comfort warranty. The Kanata dealership that live 5 minutes away are is refusing to repair the damage that's under warranty. I was told when when buying the warranty that I can take it Canada wife with no issues. I have have been on the phone with Honda Canada for 5 hours trying to get this problem resolve and still going. Please stay away from Down Honda and Kanata Honda. They are absolutely horrible!!!!!! read more

According to https://powersports.honda.com/powerhouse-dealers, "Powerhouse" dealers only focus on Honda. That's why a couple of years ago I chose Kanata Honda to winter-store my Gold Wing and to have repairs and maintenance done by them (especially as I'm a long distance, multi-month traveler who depends on knowing that life on these 2 wheels is safe). Before I begin, let me note that the staff in this dealer's motorcycle parts department are superb and if I could isolate them, I would give them 5 stars. However, when it comes to their servicing of motorcycles (at least mine)... During storage the winter before last, they told me, among other things, that my front forks needed repair. Although I hadn't experienced any difficulty, I okayed whatever they felt they needed to do (again: safety!). A couple of months after picking it up last spring, the forks started making a dangerous-sounding crunching noise when turning at slow speeds. Because of that, and the Covid shutdown, I stopped driving it until I returned it for storage last autumn for this past winter season. I asked them to repair the forks (along with other requests) while they had the bike over the winter. A couple of weeks ago I spoke with the motorcycle service manager to arrange to pick up my bike. He said that no one had looked at the bike all winter but that they would before the scheduled time he'd made for me for next Monday (it's the Thursday before now). After about two hours of trying to get ANYONE (him, anyone in service, even the main switchboard!) the operator said they were struggling with a new phone system and that he might be with a customer and would get right back to me. Hearing nothing for hours I tried yet again and this time caught him. As of now (the Thursday before pickup Monday) no work has been done on the bike and he doesn't know if they'll even be able to get to it by then and would I like to schedule a later time for pickup? So, to recap: 1. forks seemed fine until they 'worked' on it winter before last 2. after a couple of months after they worked on it, they began crunching 3. my riding season drastically cut short because I don't trust the bike's safety now 4. They've had the bike ALL WINTER(!) and never found time to work on it 5. They never called me anytime last winter to let me know this 6. Now he's asking for more time to work on the bike No thanks. I'll take the bike somewhere else instead To be clear and fair, regarding my short riding season, Covid prevented me from my annual long-distance motorcycle trip, however those crunching forks prevented me from using the motorcycle in and around town last summer and fall. I don't buy the Covid excuse. Their business has been open for the 1/2 year they've had my bike, and there's no excuse for them not calling me months ago to let me know they weren't working on it so I could make alternative arrangements. Although doubtful, if they do happen to fix those forks by Monday's pickup - even if they don't get to (m)any of the other things I had scheduled them to do last winter - I will share that here. Otherwise... So much for what Honda Canada calls "The Power of Powerhouse Dealers" PS. Although I've used Yelp for years (mostly while motorcycle traveling), this is my very first posting on Yelp. Honda is running a great sale on right now - how can you tell it is the end of summer, and next year's models are just around the corner? On the other hand, they don't have a whole lot on site to sell you. For the car we were considering, they were able to offer a very decent price, which was right in my comfort zone (however there are two of us to convince). On the downside, these guys are very eager, to the point of being a bit overzealous. After leaving with the promise to mull over the numbers until the next day,, we received no less than 3 emails, followed up by 3 phone calls, to try to close the deal! A litte overboard in our minds. Mind you, we have bought a car from this dealership in the past and they are the same way after purchase - the emails and snail mail comes a little too soon and too often, and is a bit pushy to bring the vehicle in for maintenance and servicing that is regularly scheduled work. On the upside, that's better than being neglected! Hondas are great cars, and safe, thereby worth any extra expense in the purchase. I hope to own one again. One last note: I had seen a Crosstour advertised in magazines and I think on TV; decided to look more closely at one during this visit, Yowsers! I was shocked at the price! Nearly $40,000! It didn't LOOK like a Cadillac! Oh well, I've gotta keep trying to win that lottery!! One day.... with any l might even own another Honda one day!! uck, read more

I bought a Honda CBR250 from them in April. They were professional from door to door. The purchase process was straight forward and explained quite well. I would have given them 5 stars if they did not damage the bike during its first servicing this month. They are, as of now, ordering the parts to replace the damaged ones. read more

The powerhouse is located inside the kanata honda. They carry a variety or motorcycle and dirt biking gear and offer mechanic services as well. My review is based on my dealings with Toby, who I believe is a manager. I have bought a few motorcycle gear items and Toby has been helpful, polite and more then accommodating with my requests. I ordered two special order items and they arrived within two business days. Toby also replied to emails promptly. Hands down this is what customer service should be like. Good experience. However, it would be better by guiding the new customer a bit elaborately. I went to Kanata Honda because of my airbag recall. After giving my car to the proper personal, I did not know that I had to report to the desk beside to do the documentations. As a new customer, someone had to inform me that. 4000km on my new 2017 Civic, screen flickers off and on, the door make a loud banging sound when I open the door, and the doors don't automatically lock 1/2 the time as it should. Kanata Honda has always provided excellent service. They are welcoming as they guide you into the very clean service bay. Someone then reviews the detailed process that will be undertaken on my car. Then upon entering the waiting area, an admin associate explains the process and the expected cost. Very well organized, efficient, and a very clean show room and waiting area. After a short wait my car was serviced and returned to me at the front of the service area. I will continue going to Kanata Honda for the remainder of the life of my Honda. read more

my son bought a 2019 civic at Kanata honda and initially service was good, but I have been trying to get a price on a winter tire package for him and I cant seem to get the salesman to call me back with prices have called several times and keep getting told he will call back. have been in car business for 30 years and have never seen or experienced this level of service If this is the level of service I should expect then it is definitely sub par not the way to start a relationship people read more

Took my 2006 Civic here since the starter failed. They decided to perform an additional test that I feel was not required on my working battery that showed nothing more but I was charged for it. When I did get the car back both front speakers were not working. When I told them that they damaged the speakers they told me to bring it in to inspect it. When they found both speakers blown they blamed me and would not replace the $20.00 speakers that they blew. All they did was waste 4 hours of my time to claim they did not do it. I know it happened there since they were working when the car went it and not when it came out. They are dishonest and I will never come back with any of my 2 Honda cars. read more

Just had my 2015 VFR 800 in for service and new tires. Parts department got my tires for a price that's as good as any on-line without the hassle. Service writer, Andrew Tucker, was first rate. Courtesy shuttle makes doing this on a work day very do-able. Technician not only does the required work, but also cleans the chain and cleans all the chain grease off the back rim and swing arm that had splattered everywhere. The chain looks brand new right now. He even washed the bike! (I had a good collection of bugs from the past week.) And I appreciated the chance to chat directly with the tech as I picked the bike up (which I understand it can't always happen, but it's nice when it does). I'm feeling pretty satisfied and confident with the work completed. read more

Second time the paint has peeled off my 2013 Honda Pilot, purchased at Kanata Honda and they won't cover the repair this time. My 4 year old Pilot is peeling paint, again, and no longer covered. Apparently, coverage for paint issues is 3 years. Despite the original problem being a manufactures paint defect "term used the first time this was repaired", Kanata Honda is saying it's not covered under warranty, and not their problem. I was told that this would be covered if there were future issues, however Kanata Honda has no record of this now. I took this in to a body shop, and was told that the vehicle likely wasn't primed properly, which is why this is happening. So, manufacture defect. I e-mailed Peter Fu as per his response to my Google review last week, and no return message. So much for customer service. read more

First visited Kanata Honda in June 2013 first oil change on new car. The service was great they did not meet the time promised for my oil change so the service adviser told my wife it was free. We were impressed. However I now feel after further visits this was because I was a new, first visit customer and they were trying to get my business. I Was there again today for an AirBag recall, my appointment was at 2pm and I was there at 1:45 pm. They checked my car in and then promptly parked it outside. I dropped my wife off at Costco returned my rental car to enterprise and walked back over to Honda. I was surprised to see it setting outside and believed the repair was completed until I was told otherwise. I remained at the dealership till the repair was completed, and decided to have a look at the new vehicles on the lot when I saw my car still outside. The car was not taken in till close to three o'clock. The repair was 15 minutes I watched my vehicle being repaired from the waiting room. On the phone when I made the appointment I was told it would take 45 minutes. Let's be clear here I believe in honesty and feel I should have been told when I got there, come back in an hour. read more
