After my parents retired and moved out of the country, I took over the family policy and was shocked to find several unnecessary add-ons, including a life insurance policy that had been purchased for me when I was 19. We ended up canceling that policy a couple years ago, but it was frustrating to realize it had been sold to us in the first place. Teresa comes across as very sales-driven, prioritizing upselling over genuinely helping clients understand their coverage. When I first got my driver's license, nothing was explained to me, and I had to figure everything out on my own. Now that I've reviewed the plan myself as an adult, I discovered I was paying almost double the market rate for coverage that didn't even fit my needs, it made no sense for my situation. The coverage was excessive, overpriced, and not customized in any meaningful way. It feels like this office takes advantage of long-time clients who trust them. Customer service is poor, and getting clear explanations is nearly impossible. Trying to reach them has been a pain to the point I've just gone straight to Farmers customer service to cancel my policy with them. Please do your research and get quotes from competitors before signing with Farmers through this agent.
