Shortly after my initial message concerning this year's hay, I was contacted through FB and I had a hay delivery set up within an hour through his scheduler. (He has brought on someone to return messages and calls and I do believe this will make all the difference in his business) Hay looks good, the price was fair, and he was prompt and efficient.

I run a dog rescue here so I am rarely near a phone or it is way too loud to talk on a phone so I have messaged him for hay deliveries in the past. This time I have messaged him on his hay page on Facebook since last October through December for a hay delivery. I did not hear anything. This spring, when he did not touch base last fall, I messaged him February through April. I am guessing a minimum of 10 messages that were never answered. I have always messaged him for hay but not his wife insists I call him and he will only call back to schedule on Saturdays. I am open for the public on that day or weekends when adopting dogs and have volunteers here six days a week. So what has changed that someone can't take two minutes and send a message back on the cost of the hay, kind of hay it is and what week or month even he can deliver to me? Hay bales have to be delivered on a sunny day so a quick message a day or so before when watching the weather and I will confirm to be here to be ready to help him unload and stack the hay as we have always done in the past. I have had to drop him in the past for hay deliveries and used someone else. But I gave Cram another chance when the new guys could no longer deliver. I have messaged Cram's competitors this morning for help when we are running low again on hay and they messaged me back within five minutes. Within 10 minutes I am now on the hay schedule to get a delivery of 10 tons so we do not run out of hay waiting for Cram to get in touch. Whew! Also, some of the hay delivered in the past was very inferior from Hay 2 U and Mr. Cram even when I am willing to pay for better quality hay bales. Bad bales were delivered three times to us which is not good when moldy, etc. It can not be fed, just like moldy food is bad for people. I always give Cram cash every time the hay folks deliver and I never miss appointments so when he is refusing to message to set an appointment makes no sense whatsoever. I am only near a phone at 4 am but most folks are sleeping then so messages are very quick yet he could not be bothered for months to get in touch? But I now have two other hay folks willing to deliver in a space of a half hour after asking for anyone else who could help us on Facebook! If Jacob Cram is not willing to message folks or set appointments to deliver hay online than why is he advertising online on Facebook? I like Jacob Cram as a person and a very nice guy but his customer service is the worst when not calling back for months then putting me through phone tag hell. I am too busy for that and many of the other horse customers he has lost in area are too busy for that as well. I am looking forward to using someone else and not have to beg them to stay a cash customer.
