It's a reddish-dark copper colored with a slight toffee caramel flavor. Their Warbeard is listed in the top 50 Irish Red Ales on RateBeer.com, and is a leader in distribution around the tri-state area. A co worker of mine had many Warbeards before, and insisted I make the 4 hour trek with him. I'm glad I did. Unfortunately I was so distracted with drinking my beer, I neglected to take a pic of it. Maybe next time around. Great place to stop. Don't forget to pick up a Warbeard shirt!

"Warbeard" and "Maniacal Monk" were Two very good ones I tried. In normal times, they serve food, too. However, because of COVID 19, no food during my visit. One thing I think is cool; on the back of their "squealers" they have the history of the building the Brewery and tasting room now occupy. A pretty colorful history to the building, to be sure.

But this place has a lot of wine, not "just beer", and lower prices on a lot of the wines that I was used to having to drive into Wichita for. We didn't get the laws to allow grocery stores to sell wine, but now we have a nice clean place next door to the grocery store (I don't believe it was a coincidence, either.). Everyone I have seen working there has always been friendly and very helpful to suggest, or even take order requests for products they didn't have. I've checked in a few days or weeks later and the suggested items are there in stock, so that makes me feel valued. It does not seem to matter to them that I am not their best ever daily customer, they are always friendly to me whenever I do show up.

Bought a bottle of Crown there last week, noticed the box was not in perfect condition but…read morepurchased it anyway, she said they sometimes get damaged opening the cases, once home I opened it and the cap seal did not give as much resistance as usual, so I looked very closely at the cap and you could see serrations in the plastic seal, this bottle was opened and resealed. Took it back and she accused me of doing it. I will never go back.

The space is small but very cool. They have a little flip menu with the history of the space, a nice sized appetizer menu, and most importantly the beer...AWESOME. We got a flight of 5 beers, and the Vienna cream ale was by far my favorite. We wanted to try a few we hadn't had before, and as a huge fan of Kolsch beers, my wife jumped on the chance to try theirs. She loved it and even bought a 6 pack to bring with us. The only beer I didn't love was the Darkth Udder, it had an interesting smoky flavor, but the taster sized glass was more than enough of this choice. All in all, for the small size of the town, I was beyond impressed with the big flavor and refinement the beers presented at Walnut River.
