I now see Dr. Rita Henriques…read more At first, I thought it would be strange going to a sky scrapper for a doctor's appointment, but it was my only option at the time because I couldn't find another doctor taking new patients. I was out to ease during my first visit. It's rare to find street parking, as there are only a couple of meters near the intersection of Broad and High, so I end up parking under the state house. It usually costs me $5 to park. I actually enjoy the experience, because I think it's neat to walk under high street and you stay out of the weather. The lobby is clean and comfortable. There are always ample magazines available and the TV is set to daytime television. There is a commentary coffee station as well. I've found all staff to be friendly and outgoing. The doctors take the time to really listen to me, and I feel they have helped me immensely over the years. They are knowledgeable and intuitive. I feel like they take a holistic approach at health, and don't just try to push you out of the door with a script. I remember it used to be easier to get in, or maybe it was just this time, because it took me a month to get in this time to see my doctor at the location I wanted. Might just be the season though. No worries, I know if I needed to get in earlier there were other options (visiting the other location where she splits her time, or scheduling with another doctor).

One of the nurses rolled her eyes when asked to give out hot towels... Lastly when I was asked to be discharged one of the nurses said they were understaffed when there were staff everywhere. The lobby barely had any people. They finally gave me my chest scan when I begged 5 times to leave. To my surprise every result came back normal! Why would I stay in the hospital for 6 hours if my results came back normal? This sort of treatment is lazy and as a hard working black woman I don't appreciate this type of behavior!

She's patient, she listens, she's non-judgmental (I don't get that a lot as a fat patient) and she's more than willing to work with me on healthcare needs and goals instead of jamming prescriptions and diagnoses down my throat. (Can you tell I've had less than stellar doctors before? XD) The staff, from front desk people to nurses and social workers, is always friendly and professional, they're usually running on time or within perfectly acceptable ranges, and they're even good at drawing blood from my temperamental veins. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a new primary care person.

She always takes plenty of time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. This is a pretty small office. I've found it easy to schedule appointments both for sick visits as well as regular check ups. I haven't had the opportunity to see any of the other doctors except over the phone when I've called the on-call doctor. I've found the nurses and office staff to be very helpful and pleasant as well.

I had an 8:45 AM telehealth appointment for an important prescription refill that I need to function, but Dr. Toohey was over 10 minutes late, which I didn't mind as I know she is busy. But because of her delay, I had to start driving to work. When she finally joined, and despite me saying "One second I'm pulling over right now", she immediately said we couldn't proceed because I was driving, ignored me, and abruptly ended the call within 10 seconds of joining - with 0 patience or willing to listen or care. It was very hurtful. When I reached out via message to ask what just happened and that I am pulled over now and ready, she responded by terminating me as a patient via letter. Her attitude throughout was condescending, rude, and disrespectful. This is not how healthcare professionals should treat patients, and I would not recommend her to anyone seeking any shred of empathy or care from a provider.

I have been a patient with this practice for over two and a half years, since moving to Columbus…read more This past week, I received a poorly written, abrasive letter telling me that my relationship with this practice is being terminated due to multiple no shows and cancellations. This came out of the blue. I have not had an appointment in the last six months, nor did I receive a phone call or any type of correspondence prior to this letter. I called this morning to ask about the letter. I spoke with their office manager, Nick who couldn't explain why I received the letter - nor did he apologize. He said it was their discretion to send the letter and couldn't tell me when I missed an appointment or had a cancellation. I have never been treated this way, especially by a physician's practice. It's just so disappointing.

I found Dr. Sharma on recommendation from a friend. I'm rarely sick, so I don't see him much, but he is always very competent, efficient and pretty darn funny during my annual physical. Like him bunches. The building on Neil is easy to get to, they have convenient hours and insurance stuff is never a hassle. Like taking your car in to get fixed, something you don't want to do it, but this place makes it not so bad.

Yes, the doctors are young and they will ask you if an intern can interview and participate in your check up (you can decline) but I find their youth to be refreshing and their enthusiasm to take care of you a HUGE plus. And they have great senior doctors to consult. They have seen me through a mysterious knee swelling and total hip replacement, both sides. My current doctor is Dr. Christine Prabhu, a GREAT doctor. And many of my friends now see past doctors I have had. As my best friend said "the doctor you recommended to me is the ONLY doctor to ever call me to follow up and see how I was doing."
