Unfortunately, my experience at Kaplan Chiropractic was entirely the opposite. After every single session, I left the clinic in worse condition than when I walked in. To make matters worse, they pressured me into purchasing a 30-session package upfront--costing $1,300--only to receive rushed, 5-minute adjustments per visit. During one of these sessions, the practitioner mishandled my shoulder, aggravating a pre-existing injury. That single incident robbed me of my ability to practice my sport or train my clients properly. When I reached out and spent seven months trying to get them to take accountability or help me recover, they completely refused to make things right. I have been coming to Kaplan Chiropractic for the last three months. Dr. Kaplan is wonderful, friendly, and cares about getting you to heal yourself through the treatment plan. I was given relevant physical therapy exercises to support strengthening my spine and neck in between adjustments. This really assisted the realigning and feeling better and stronger all week long. The space is welcoming. The staff is friendly. With chiropractors, it is always important to be with one that you trust. I love this place and grateful to have found this gem in the Miami area. My previous chiropractor referred me to Kaplan Chiropractic, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Vanessa at the front desk is AMAZING. so friendly, clear in her communication and makes you feel right at home. Their process of doing your x-rays, explaining your corrective care plan, and educating you on the process was amazing. Okay so this was quite strange. I just called the office to schedule a first time appointment (I am in pain) because I believe I have a shooting pain in my lower back which is going into my leg. I asked for the appointment and was told it's a two day process...I need to come in first just to be evaluated then come back for any treatment or adjustments. I said, "okay I am in pain so am trying to get treatment right away. So maybe I should go somewhere else?" I was quite polite. The receptionist then said, "okay that's fine". Absolutely 5 Stars!! We flew into Miami to board a 7 night cruise and our two year old just started limping terribly. He couldn't walk! There was no event or trauma that we were aware of. We thought about taking him to urgent care but decided maybe a chiropractor would be a better route and that turned out to be the best decision! Dr John was fantastic!! our sons pelvis and hip were out drastically. He first evaluated him and watched him walk. He knew right away what the problem was and after he adjusted him our son had his mobility back. We were absolutely devastated to be getting on a cruise ship with our two year old not walking and for an unknown reason so as parents we were grateful to have an answer and also to have fixed the problem. I'll start of by saying I've absolutely 100% never thought a chiropractor could help me with a long term, old injury from a surfing accident 15+ years ago while in college. As I've gotten older, massage therapy had become less effective and I was contemplating seeing an ortho to treat my issue. Just short of that next step, I ran into someone named Vanessa, who wouldn't stop espousing the benefits and near miracles that Kaplan has performed. I was still reluctant until I saw Kaplan adjust his own newborn on a video. When i saw the confidence he exhibited in the video, and the immediate calmness that came over the child, I decided I would give it a shot before I went to a surgeon (because we all know surgeons cut...or at least inject...) When I went to my first appointment, there was the very same Vanessa, running the show! She always has a genuine interest in what's going on in my life and knows that I sort of exist on Nespresso coffee! I've returned 15ish times and I've gone from nearly debilitated from intermittent pain to being a "wellness patient" with 95% relief from the pain. The place is great. Kaplan gave me his cell anytime I needed to communicate directly with him, and Vanessa did the same. I'm super busy and having the ability to reach the manager in literally seconds has been a key reason I've seen so much improvement. Two months ago, I went to Kaplan Chiropractic Wellness Center after my chiropractor of 6 years moved away. Kaplan was very thorough with their on-boarding process and gave me a full examination and x-rays. They prescribed for me to come 2 times per week for 3 months. I explained that I could not afford that as my insurance wasn't accepted, but I would commit to coming once per week. My first adjustment was a surprise. I shared a large room with three other people while a line of people waited for a bed. The adjustment lasted no more than 3 minutes and another person who was waiting, took my place. In all of my appointments with previous chiropractors, they took time to check again after the adjustment to make sure my spine was aligned. If it wasn't, they made corrections again. Because so many people are waiting at Kaplan, they did not take time after the adjustment to check that my spine is aligned. After going once or twice a week, I asked for an earlier appointment because my back was hurting. They were able to fit me in but after waiting in line for 20 minutes, the assistant came to me and said they couldn't see me anymore because I wasn't coming 2 times each week. I couldn't believe they were dropping me as a client! I asked if the doctor could adjust me since I was there and had already waited but he said no. I was so upset and even though I explain to the assistant that I can't afford twice at week but definitely I will do it once a week, they kicked me out, because I couldn't came one of the weeks because of my work, I can tell he is a good doctor, but unfortunately, he is so rushed because of all the appointments, he doesn't take the little extra time after the adjustment to make sure everything is in alignment. It feels like they are only trying to fill the days with as much money as possible instead of caring about healing people. read more

I came across Kaplan here on yelp. I picked him due to the friendly smile in the profile and good reviews. I made an appointment the weekend of Art Basel. When I walked in I saw Kaplan, I smiled at him and he just looked away. Luckily for me Dr. Adriana was the one that was assigned to me. The office is open so you can get an adjustment in private or in front of everyone. When I was getting my adjustment I over heard one of the most racist conversations that I have ever heard in my life. A client came in saying that a bunch of "thugs" where waiting in line across the street. He also said "They don't belong on South Beach". This conversation went on for a few minutes. He said other awful things and words. The people waiting in line were mostly Black and Hispanic. What makes it worst was that no one tried to tell him what he was saying was completely inappropriate, instead Vanessa (Office Manager) actually encouraged it. Vanessa said " I thought it was love and hip-hop (a modern day minstrel show)" . The entire time she was laughing and agreeing with him. I could see Kaplan making faces for her to stop saying all that racist stuff. Kaplan did not know I can see him since I was turned around halfway. I suspect this type of conversations are normal here and encouraged by at least Vanessa. Kaplan looks like he could have black somewhere in his family ancestry. He should have had the balls and said something against suspected white supremacist talking points. This was the first and last time Kaplan acknowledged me at his office. I went in about 9 more times only because Dr. Adriana is amazing. Kaplan never ever said hello or smiled nothing. He seemed not to care for you unless you have some form of clout that he knows about. He acts like a "groupie" if you are related to an athlete or celebrity or if you are the actual celeb/athlete. He is on that "South Beach superficial BS". If you have ever lived or worked on South Beach you might know what I'm talking about. The entire time I knew I was going to write this review so I was very polite to Vanessa. Meanwhile I would get a feeling she did not really like me. She has a passive aggressive personality. Vanessa is a white hispanic. I am a black hispanic by the way. Vanessa told me she has a black daughter since her baby daddy is PR. Even with a black daughter she still agrees with a suspected white supremacist talking points. Another conversation we had, she jumps up and screamed " I am not going to argue with you and walks away." I was in shock since we were just talking normal. I think she wanted a reason to be able to label me as a "thug" but I never gave her one. Outside of all of the crazy conversation, "Dr. Adriana" is an amazing chiropractor and I hope that she gets her own office soon, because she can really shine with her own team. read more

Kaplan Chiropractic is an absolutely necessary piece of Miami. I traveled from Seattle, WA for vacation and ended up with a back injury at the airport. Dr Kaplan's office got me in ASAP and on the road back to health! I started going to Dr. Kaplan after I had woke up and couldn't get out of bed. I had no injury when I went to sleep but my back was KILLING me with pain. I knew Dr. Kaplan was nearby so I was able to quickly be seen by him that day! He performed some X-rays and found the reason for my issue and how he could immediately relieve most pain and what I could do to continue the healing through a few simple exercises. I was back to 100% very quickly and have continued to visit Dr. Kaplan for a few various issues and every time he delivers relief and insights. Their goal is to have you leave feeling amazing and if they didn't achieve that, then they will find how to get you there. What could make his practice better? Best chiropractor. He cares for each patient individually and each adjustment is custom to their specific needs. I walked in, in crying awful acute pain and he examined, diagnosed and explained to me what was happening to my spine in great detail and how to correct the issues. 3 adjustments later I'm smiling and feeling 80% better. Came here months ago for plantar fasciitis and curved uper back. Fixed one thing, my footsies, in about 10 visits. I believe I still have one or 2 left from the 12 package I got. I plan on coming back for uper back curve and posture rectification. It is a little pricey for me and not covered by my insurance, however they do offer plans for multiple visits which is great. This is the best chiropractor on the east coast. He cares about the little things and still sees the big picture. I've had some mild issues with my back for years and no one has ever been so concerned about the underlying cause and wanted to really fix me. On my first visit he took an x ray of my back to see what he was working with( no other chiropractor has done this). Then he did some physical tests and followed with an adjustment and then Jody put KT tape( also never done before). Later that evening I received a text asking how I was feeling. I'm sure this is protocol for his office, but I'm happy to be a patient of this swanky office. They even had a Fung shui professional design their office. I had been having many issues with shoulder, neck, hip, and arm pain as well as problems with vertigo. Dr. Kaplan has been able to do a single adjustment, and my vertigo immediately disapears. Kaplan Chiropractic was recommended to me by my CrossFit trainers. He is a CrossFitter himself and knows just how to help, especially when it comes to CrossFit-related pains and injuries.
