Booked my 50 minute massage with Meki online 1/23. The school was difficult to find. I used google maps and it kept taking me to the Fire Station. I looked at some pictures on Yelp and figured out where it was. It's the big pink building Hawaiian paradise coffee. The school isn't listed outside the building. Drive around back and you will find it. I must say they have some serious CV rules. You wait inside your car and call the number listed on the door. They take your temperature and ask you questions about coughing , fever etc. He also said I needed to wash my hands for 20 seconds. Both parties are required to wear mask. He did give me one of those flimsy mask. I'm a rule follower and abided by all the rules. The massage was fine. He's said he was new and learning. I felt the price and level of service seemed fair. Probably $35 would be fair. They also charge an extra $5 for something I'm not sure. I would recommend it and remember they are students. I did leave a nice tip. He was very professional and seemed very sincere. read more

So this just happened.... I received a call from KMI this morning and they said Rani can't see me on Monday because she does not work on Mondays and I said I have it scheduled for today Saturday at 1pm and also put it on my Calendar that Rani made over the phone with me yesterday. The receptionist then said "oh ok that makes sense" then said we will see you today at 1. Then the same receptionist called back 5 min later saying my appointment has to be Monday and I was ok with that but would have to change the time because of a conflicting appointment and we agreed for 3pm. I called back to make sure because I then remembered what she said about Rani not working on Mondays and wanted to make sure with Rani this would be ok. Rani answered and was upset and basically said they do not play games and said "now what" angered. So I said I do not want to be seen by them and will go somewhere else. I meant no disrespect and was confused on their scheduling and why they called me in the first place. I was pleased with Rani during our first conversation , she was very nice and informative. I hope she has a better day than today and hope she understands I met no disrespect. I also hope to find someone who can help me with my back problems through the VA... I was really hoping for help today my lower back muscles have been aching really bad over the past month and pain killers are not working. Sorry if their system reflects differently and I had no problem with going in on Monday but that seemed to really upset them that I had to change the time from 1 to 3pm due to my schedule. Located in the rear of the building! Drive all the around the building to a dead end. Hard to see entrance unless you do so. There are 2 flights of stairs to climb for those with mobility issues to consider. I had a 6:10pm appt on a Friday evening. My masseuse was Kahiwa. Was it the best I ever had? No, but as a beginner masseuse in training, worth the $35 + $5 covid surcharge. The rooms are clean and new. I like to support massage schools and save a couple bucks. Booking was online and they text/email you. There are even appointments available on Sundays. You book with credit card and they keep it on file for easy checkout. Wait in your car until you get a text or text the number on the door. I also got a stamp card where the 10th massage is free. This is great because I'm trying to get 2 massages/month. Massages aren't just to relax or reduce pain. The health benefits of lymphatic drainage and circulation are super important on so many levels. read more

From a past clinical LMP, this student was not ready for paying customers. I paid for a seasoned student to deliver a "deep tissue" 80 minute massage and her body mechanics were so off that her arms were shaking during just the warming compressions and barely could do a simple Swedish sequence. Needed more confidence and guidance, I am genuinely concerned for the students because she said she only had 20 more hours to go in her program. Hope they are getting the education they are paying for! I love supporting students with their learning journey but this was just sad. I won't be coming back. Please educate your students. read more

Went here for a couples massage since it has been over a year since either of us had had a good massage, and moving back home has been stressful. First, online appointment was so easy to make. The parking is ample, and the building was not too difficult to find on GoogleMaps. When we arrived, we texted the number and they came to get us from the parking lot. I don't get massages often, but I have to admit - this was one of the best massages I have ever gotten. We were greeted at the door by Waiola who is THE sweetest person I have ever met in the massage industry. I immediately felt comfortable with her and was glad she was my massage therapist for the day. Prepping for the massage because of COVID, you're asked to do a temperature check and wash your hands. Once that's out of the way, you're led to your room where you undress to where you're comfortable and to lay on the table face down. The problem I've had with massages before is that they don't give enough pressure (but maybe it's just me, I like when people go in hard into my muscles haha). Waiola had such a gentle touch and just enough pressure to get the knots in my back, shoulders, and neck. She had such amazing energy and such a gentle soul! I'm normally very picky about working with people on a regular basis, but right off the bat I knew she was what I needed at the moment and in the future. She even got problem areas that I didn't even know were problem areas like my glutes and feet. Based on their pre-massage questionnaire, she was able to know what "areas of need" to work on. She can also ask if you want your treatment to be modified to your liking. KMI is really GREAT. The phones are super busy, so I had to leave a message, but Waiola did get back to me that evening. When I asked why it was hours late, she informed me that she was the only one answering the phones and had to return so many calls already. She was super sweet and professional. Which (if you didn't know) is a STEAL! The girl I had was an apprentice (which is why it's so cheap) but it was still a great massage. So far I had Pua, Kyle, and Waiola ! All apprentices were AMAZING. I loved all of their energy and will definitely be returning soon. When you walk into KMI, you're greeted with calm relaxing music. The AC is nice because that Kapolei heat is scorching ! I had been to KMI before, so it was great to see everyone's faces again. The staff is so nice and full of aloha. They really make you feel like a friend. Which I personally appreciate. I felt very comfortable knowing that they made some new safety regulations and took extra safety precautions with corona. I was asked the normal corona questions and my temperature was taken. You NEED to wear a mask in order to enter. That's a MUST KNOW. And also, you need to complete your forms online BEFORE your appointment. They will not take you unless you complete it ! Just a bit of a FYI. The facility overall is delightful and super clean. I liked how when I walked into the massage room, there were these labels on the beds that confirmed that everything was sanitized. That just told me that they take my health very seriously. I took my 91 year old mom and sister here for massages. We were greeted at the door by our massage therapists, Robert, Steven and Brianna with smiles. They welcomed us and helped my mother up the stairs (20 stairs + 6 at the top). They didn't rush her and made sure she was ok along the way. The rooms are clean and they have a sanitation policy(yippie). Robert was my therapist and he made me feel comfortable right away. Asked me if I had any recent injuries, surgeries or complaints. He focused on my trouble spots and manipulated those areas. Definitely needed it! No complaints. My mom and sister thoroughly enjoyed their massages too and want me to make their next appointment! Had one of the best massages ever from an apprentice named MJ yesterday long story short my friend Kylie and I had booked an appt with MJ and Ryan we were late due to traffic we called and let them know we were still coming and we're treated very well. Instead of only getting a partial massage we extended our massage and paid more so we could enjoy the massage. MJ was very professional and tended to my every need in my massage. Customer service leaves lots of room for improvement. I bought a few vouchers on Hot Deals Hawaii and Groupon, it was a great deal even though it was with apprentices. There were a few hiccups...went once on a Saturday and the door to the entrance was locked. After calling the main line ten times, I get a call from the therapist asking if I was lost. 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, I was able to get in. Then I had an appointment cancel on the same day. No biggie, not the end of the world. The worst is when I misplaced a voucher. Called the vendor, and the mainland company couldn't do anything. I emailed Kapolei Massage and was told that they 'hope I find it' because there's nothing they could do either. I have my receipt, but I guess that's not good enough. She was very caring and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and applied just the right pressure. She worked my kinks out and totally gave my tight stressed muscles some TLC.
