Was told that they go by the submitting amount instead of the allowed amount which is wrong. I don't know what kind of scam they have going on but Beware, check insurance eob and make sure what you paid matches eob's amount on the "patient owes" box.

The staff is wonderful, very courteous and always willing to help in the event of a dental emergency. However my issues revolved around Dr. Care. He had terrible chairside manners when it came to interacting with me. Upon every visit he never introduced himself or spoke to me when entering the room. It was always up to me as the patient to initiate an introduction or a simple "hello" before beginning our exams. During exams, especially regarding problem areas, he was not gentle. And when bringing this to his attention I was always given rude responses. "Well you need to take better care of your teeth." "It's not my fault you're having this problem." This was a big red flag for me in the beginning, but I continued to utilize his office for my dental needs because it was convenient for me. However my last visit with him made it quite clear that he is not the dentist for me! I came in for an eval for gum pain. He was able to identify the problem and initiate a temporary solution, which I accepted. After completing the treatment, he then went on to tell the hygienist to schedule me for an extraction of the tooth. It was at this point that I began to ask questions and inquire about different options that didn't involve removing a perfectly healthy tooth. He then grew somewhat agitated and began to make statements that were completely unnecessary. He made it clear that his plan of care for me was to extract my healthy tooth, and he was adamant about not offering any additional options. While I was still talking and trying to ask more questions, he then proceeded to walk out of the room while saying "that's what I recommend, if you don't like it go somewhere else and get a second opinion." And that was the last straw for me!!! If you are someone who wants a dentist that's going to treat you like a person and not just another set of teeth, Dr. Ronald Care is not the dentist for you!

Fortunately he took me seriously and pulled it. 4 stars because it was my first wisdom tooth extraction (no stitches), and I was sent out the door with only a printed piece of paper of basic instructions. Didn't even know I needed a syringe to get food out (when to use it), what to look out for in the hole to know if it's healing properly, etc. Despite the lack of information, the dentist and staff were really nice, & the appointment times are surprisingly decent. Although he can't pull one of my other wisdom teeth because of how bad it is, I might return to get at least the other two done.
