Highly upset with myself for remaining a patient of this office for so long (approximately 5 visits since 2014). The staff is wonderful, very courteous and always willing to help in the event of a dental emergency. However my issues revolved around Dr. Care. He had terrible chairside manners when it came to interacting with me. Upon every visit he never introduced himself or spoke to me when entering the room. It was always up to me as the patient to initiate an introduction or a simple "hello" before beginning our exams. During exams, especially regarding problem areas, he was not gentle. And when bringing this to his attention I was always given rude responses. "Well you need to take better care of your teeth." "It's not my fault you're having this problem." This was a big red flag for me in the beginning, but I continued to utilize his office for my dental needs because it was convenient for me. However my last visit with him made it quite clear that he is not the dentist for me! I came in for an eval for gum pain. He was able to identify the problem and initiate a temporary solution, which I accepted. After completing the treatment, he then went on to tell the hygienist to schedule me for an extraction of the tooth. It was at this point that I began to ask questions and inquire about different options that didn't involve removing a perfectly healthy tooth. He then grew somewhat agitated and began to make statements that were completely unnecessary. He made it clear that his plan of care for me was to extract my healthy tooth, and he was adamant about not offering any additional options. While I was still talking and trying to ask more questions, he then proceeded to walk out of the room while saying "that's what I recommend, if you don't like it go somewhere else and get a second opinion." And that was the last straw for me!!! Dr care was very unprofessional last time he saw me, he even brought over his staff to laugh at my teeth in front of my face, very rude

I went for a routine teeth cleaning and x-rays, it is by far the best dental experience I have had in a long time. The office is very nicely decorated, big screen tv's with children movies, a play area, nice seating. The desk staff is friendly and so are the hygienists. Dr. Care was very personable and welcoming, he took the time to get to know me a little bit and made me feel like a valued patient. I look forward to coming back and will bring my three year old son too. read more

The service in this dentist office is horrible. My wife has visited this office since we arrive in El Paso. Every visit has had a long wait. Today the wait has been 1hr,20min so far. This dentist repaired a cavity. For about a month she's had pain in that tooth. She went back and was given pain medication and a mouthwash. After 2 month of constant pain, she went to a different dentist. His x-Ray shows clearly a gap in the filling that was left incomplete by Dr.Care. Now the problem is the insurance won't pay for the repair by any other dentist but the one who initially did it. Is like taking your car back to the mechanic who left 3of the six lug nuts in you tire off. I'm sure the 5 Star review is Dr. Care doing more PATCH work on the ratings. read more

Wait time can be over an hour just to be seen, even if you arrive early. Staff isn't very knowledgeable or helpful. I can't recommend this place. If you need a dentist I suggest you go somewhere else. It's ridiculous!!!! read more

Don't be fooled by the great appearance of the building. I arrived 15 minutes before my appt. [to see Dr. Miguel A. Martinez-Diaz, an endodontist] since 1st time there and had to fill out paperwork. A male called me in to take vitals. Then a female called me in to take an x-ray that she needed help with. Overheard her saying to other female "I haven't done an anterior since school"? It went downhill from there. My appt. was at 4:00pm, after waiting 40 minutes, I was told I would be seen at 5:00, then at approx.. 5:30pm!,I understand when dentists run late but when they explained why they were running late "they had to take other patients that were overflow from before Thanksgiving"! This was the Monday after. Apparently they have a lot of Medicare patients. Why didn't they call to advise? Was told I could wait or re-schedule. I left and immediately re-scheduled with Dr. Harry V. Whitehill. This was a total waste of time. read more

Run for your life! Find another practice, I'm not kidding. I'm a civilian enrolled in my husband's Tricare Dental Program and Dr. Care was on the list of dentists accepting my insurance. I got a bridge done a while ago and weeks later I am still in pain and favor one side of my mouth. I should have taken the hint when the dental assistant tried to take off my temporary bridge without any anesthesia. When I screamed she suggested that I should be numbed because they hadn't performed a root canal on the tooth and that might explain why I was so sensitive. (I can't make this stuff up). He wasn't much better because placing the bridge on was by far one of the most excruciating pains I've ever had to endure. The wait times are unprecedented. One day I waited 1.5 hours past my appointment time before I asked to reschedule because I had to go to work. I'd told them when I made the appointment I really needed to be out quickly, they had assured me it wouldn't be a problem. When I tried to reschedule they asked me if I could wait just another 5 min. and they'd take me back, which, in fairness they did, but after a number of visits there, I feel confident in saying that wait times are just a suggestion. read more

Absolutely the worst experience...the hygenists were great! "Dr. Care" was anything but! My first complaint is he never bothered to talk to me about my care plan and my second is that he was drilling and a piece of tooth got stuck in my throat. He thought I was gagging on the water and wouldn't stop drilling...thank goodness my husband was there! Will never ever go back there and will never ever recommend him! read more

I came in for a check up and was treated like garbage by Dr. Care himself. He was rude and disrespectful toward me. I did not appreciate it a bit. I do not recommend his office to anyone. I ended up paying $ 154 with insurance and got treated like I was getting free services. Stay away from this place unless you like getting bad service for big $$$ read more

I've been to this office four times. The first time I went, I waited for over half an hour past my appointment time before the receptionist gave me my new patient paperwork to fill out. I then waited another half hour just to be told that my insurance hadn't kicked in yet and I would need to reschedule my appointment. The second time I went was for a routine cleaning. The cleaning was average, and they told me I had no cavities and was good to go. Third time I went, I waited for an hour and a half past my appointment time before being called back. When I had originally called to make my appointment, I told them that my son needed to be seen too (he was only 16 months old). They said no problem and scheduled the appointments at the same time. It's a good thing that I brought my husband with me because they saw me and my son literally at the same time, but in completely different rooms. Knowing that my son is a young toddler, I don't know why the receptionist scheduled us this way. At this appointment (exactly six months after my first), they found 2 cavities that they say have been there for awhile. Cleaning again was average, and my poor son screamed the entire time they did his exam (all they do for toddlers is lightly brush their teeth with a normal toothbrush). Fourth time I went (today) was for one of the fillings. My appointment was scheduled for 8am and their office doors say they open at 7:45. I got there right at 7:45 and waited outside because the doors were locked. The first staff member showed up at 7:56 and opened the doors. I was the first to sign in. I waited until 8:30 until I finally went up to the front desk and demanded a refund because I was tired of always waiting past my appointment time. (At the same time, one of the three girls that was talking in a group and showing each other pictures on their phone for the past 20 minutes finally turned around and grabbed my file and called my name) The receptionist said "well, the dentist just showed up, are you sure you don't want to just be seen?" I told her that if he doesn't get there until 8:30 then he should not schedule appointments for 8. Just an added note, all of my appointments were scheduled for 8 so that I could be seen right away, and yet it always took over an hour for me to be seen. Not once did the receptionist give me the courtesy of telling me the dentist was running late. I have two young children that I always have to find a babysitter for when I go to the dentist. So not only has Dr. Care successfully wasted several hours of my life, he has also wasted a lot of my money spent on childcare. I will definitely be looking for a new dentist and will NOT recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

I hate this place with a passion! I will not even get into my last awful experience with this office. But I will say this to the public and believe me when say I cannot believe we stayed with this dental place this long since we are still stationed here on Fort Bliss. This place has gone south for the last 4 years already. I only stayed this long because of my hygienist Mr. Jorge. He is about the only decent person in this dental office. Every time we go in for our annual clean the wait is over an hour long. The front ladies are just as rude and absolutely no customer service etiquette, they won't even say to you I'm sorry we are running behind blah blah nothing they expect you to just sit and wait for them as if we have nothing else to do with our daily business. it doesn't matter if you even call them on the phone to set up appointment no customer service. And to you Dr. Care you are even just as rude and unprofessional. You just want my Tricare business. I am done and no way will my family return. You will not even going to speak to me in such a disrespectful way again ever. I am so stupid to stick around this long with your dental office. read more

The office is very kid friendly but I and my child did not have a good experience. My daughter needed a pulpotomy (kid version of a root canal) and a metal crown put on. She was 3 at the time. Being inexperienced I did not know what went into such a procedure. They assured me it was going to be fine. Needless to say it was not. They numbed her gums then injected her gums 3 times with a needle- my child was already crying/screaming/kicking, then they did the procedure as fast as they could and asked me to hold her arms and legs down. Thinking this was the only option I painfully watched them do this to my child. I later after moving and seeing another dentist and talking to other parents was informed that before a procedure like this a child should be somewhat sedated with a gas first, especially at her young age of only 3. I wish I would have been informed by Dr. Care of other options. Because of this experience my child, now 5 is absolutely phobic and traumatized to see the dentist. Also the procedure ended up not even being successful and eventually had to be pulled--with a different dentist of course. This is only my child's experience- I don't have enough space to tell you mine which wasn't great either. The irony is the Dr's last name is Care. read more
