The guys installed a Wolf G850 Camera/Backup Mirror on my Land Rover LR2. I couldn't be happier. The front cam, back cam and GPS -everything works properly. Pathetic customer service is an understatement. & 3 years ago they didn't have the best customer service but it was manageable for the good service so I came back to get the same thing done (sub install). Called 1.5 week ago to make an appt only to get there & them not be able to tell me if SUBWOOFER install can be done in 9 hours even tho I have an appt. How did I beat the "audio guy" into work for you not even be able to ask him? Not sure what's the point of an appt if it's not an appt??? The review is to mainly highlight how pathetic the customer service is now and their lack of caring. Onto the next business that has some sort of caring for customers & repeat customers. read more

I am a black woman who had issues with her car. I have a 1996 Honda Prelude and had this car since graduating from nursing school in 2004. My hobby is fixing up cars and putting them in car shows and that is what I did with my Honda Prelude. Well, this car is my baby. So when my car would not crank, I thought it could have been the alternator or a hot wire coming from my radio, I installed. I knew it wasn't my battery, due to the fact I had bought this battery from Auto zone in less than a year. On Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, I took my car to Kar Tunes on Veteran's Parkway. I had made an appointment on Tuesday, Jan 2, 2024 for that Friday, Jan 5, 2024 at 0900. When I took my car to Kar Tunes, I asked the young, white female sitting at the counter, "If you all can't get to the car today, will you all lock it up?" She had made a smart remark and said, "As long as you leave the key." Like I was going to drop my car off to a shop and not leave them the key. That right there was the first sign of bad customer service. Later that day, I called Kar Tunes. I told this same lady for them to call me when they find out what was wrong with the car with a price before they fix it. I also reiterated with her about the radio may have a hotwire in it. She got smart again with me and stated, "I notated that already, and they will call you when they find out what is wrong with it." Second sign of bad customer service. At that point, I'm thinking, if I was a white woman, would she have done this to me. Saturday came around and they were open from 9am to 2pm. I had not heard from no one. Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at 11:50am, I went to Kar tunes. The young white woman and a older white man with salt pepper hair and blue eyes was sitting at the counter. I stated, "Can I speak to the manager or the mechanic who is fixing on the 1996 Honda Prelude. The man at the counter stated, "I am the manager." I stated, "I am coming up here to get an update on the Honda Prelude. He asked me, "who car was it?" As if I stole this car. I looked him in the eyes and stated, "that is my car and I had it for years." He tried to pacify it down and stated, "It's a nice car." I KNOW MICROAGGRESSION WHEN IT HITS ME IN THE FACE. And if you don't know the definition of micro aggression, please look it up. He told me they ran a test on the battery, and the battery was good. I told him I knew the battery was good, considering I just bought it less than a year ago. He did not check my alternator, and he said they were still working on it. I told him," I'm just going to pick it up, because no one has called me with an update and my mechanic and other businesses do call you with an update." He then stated with an attitude, "we just had the car since Friday." He then tells me, it was going to be $110. I asked what is he charging me for? He stated with an attitude" for doing a diagnostic check on the battery. You don't expect for us to work on your car for free." I then told him, "I told her,(pointing at the young white lady), for you all to call me with a price before doing anything to my car." They did not give me a price on the diagnostic fee when I left it and partially that is my fault. I should have asked. But had I listened to my instincts, when I took my car to them and saw all the cars they had in their parking lot, I should have left and I could have gave that $110 plus some, to a more professional company who would have done the job and treated me with respect. I tried to pay with my credit card and the manager stated, "It's going to be cash." The joker couldn't even look me in the face when he said this. So I went and got the cash from an ATM and paid them. Ask youself, what company take only cash and not credit cards or was it just the fact, he didn't want to take a credit card from a black customer. NO MATTER WHAT THE COLOR OF MY SKIN. My word to this white manager and this young white lady with a nose ring, don't judge a book by the cover. So since you judge me and presented that micro aggression behavior out there, I'm judging you and letting black people know, don't go to KAR TUNES. They show micro aggression toward black people. I wanted them to know before I left, I am a nurse and I communicate with my patients and I expect business to communicate as well. Really wish my experience was different today. They appeared to know how to service my vehicle but unfortunately when my time is not valued the same way I have to pay for their time, my business will have to go elsewhere. 9am appointment seems to mean nothing. I waited over a week and a half for the appointment. To have to call at almost 3:30pm to ask a question about my car in my opinion is very distasteful. My spouse calls and the individual sitting at the front desk acted as if they were in a 3 story building or as though the service department was across the street. He tells him at this time there were no updates he could give him, he doesn't know much. Okay, at that time you could have went to check. My spouse attempts to ask more questions well do you need to keep it overnight, will it be done by closing... again none of those questions could be answered. He tells them I'm on the way to retrieve my vehicle. When they bring me my vehicle, I was then charged 1/2 hour of labor. So that's 30 minutes So did you look at it within the 30 minutes of the time of him calling? Again, that was at 3:15-3:30 when he called to check the status. But mind you I had a 9:00AM appointment. Now, if we were met with a "we are perplexed on the issue," I could understand. But its funny, that no one could give my spouse an answer about anything over the phone but the 10-15 minutes later I pull up you're spurring out the things you feel it could be! I feel that was done in order to charge me for something knowing full well you just looked at my vehicle because my spouse called you out on your B.S. And my spouse wanted to ask about getting keys cut for his vehicle, so that business was taken away as well. 1/2 hour of last-minute labor, a whole day without a car, a week and a half waiting on the appointment to leave with nothing...do better. read more

Rip off place stole my remote car starter out of my car after they were suppose to do diagnostic test to see what was wrong with my electrical system, but because they keep such piss poor notes on there work I couldn't get the truth out of them! Will never go back or recommend to anyone!!!!!! They ask to take a look at something that wasn't there, what the f*#% are looking for!!!!! It is gone, you look at it isn't going to make it reappear! Still doesn't answer the fact that you have sorry notes and of course it shows you didn't take it out because you probably decided to keep it for yourselves. I wouldn't let your place watch my car drive by!!!! All those years with an A+ rating doesn't mean you don't make mistakes and you could have found a way other than looking something that wasn't there to settle the issue! read more

Customer service is horrible. I waited 5 minutes at the front desk before I rang the bell on the counter. When someone finally came she was rude and very unprofessional. I ended up dropping my car off there to get some speakers replaced. It turned out that I never had speakers where I though they should be. So they called me and told me my warranty won't cover that. Which is understandable. I went to go pick up my car and they said my balance was $50. I asked what the charge was for and they said "diagnostics". I don't know about most people, but I don't want to pay for a service that was never done. They didn't even tell me up front that there would be a charge for this. I would NOT advise anyone to use their services. In my experience when a place "nickel and dimes" you And has bad customer service, they are not very trustworthy. read more

Truly disappointed in the service I received. I brought in a Kenwood Excelon I purchased from Crutchfield to be installed, since they are authorized carriers for Kenwood. They installed it, however, I guess I was expecting more from a carrier of Kenwood. The first thing I noticed is they did not update the clock/time on the unit. They also did NO settings updates, meaning they just installed it, but did no adjustments to clarity of sound, music, speakers, etc. Not sure if they had a problem because I brought in my own radio instead of buying from them, or they basically are uneducated with sound quality. I wish zero stars were an option. Extremely disatisfied with the customer service from Bart Steed Kartunes. I made an appointment three weeks out for 0900 on a tuesday.. I live an hour and a half away so i had to walk around till the work was done. He told me it would be done mid afternoon. I returned after 5 1/2 hours. The work had not even been started. He said he just got the part and he still did not have all the parts required which he did not tell me in the morning. Again i set this up 3 weeks prior. Then he said it would take another day and a half to complete. His record keeping is inadequete because he has no set process. He blamed the error on whoever took the appointment. He never checked the records of the appt to see what was required. Customers that came after me were taken care of before even though i set an appointment for 0900. He stated that he sets all of his appointments for 0900. Which is bad business practice. This business claims 39 years of great service but i believe it must have been managed by somebody else because this guy may only be 39 years old very dismissive and sarcastic. I will not use this company ever again and I will encourage other to take thier business elsewhere. read more
